What i thought was awesome about this is that i expected some kind of huge new form for Ifrit to match up against this guy, but Clive was just like "You want me to kick your ass again? Ok." and charges right in as tiny Ifrit. I was worried that i wouldnt like FFXVI's protagonist because his name and design seemed so plain leading up to release, but his badassery has totally won me over.
At first I didn't care about Clive. I kind of hated his teenage appearance and was glad they did a time skip. He looks way better as an adult. Definitely has the stare of someone who's seen some shit. And his character grew on me quick. Occasionally he goes from this brooding edgelord, to a badass who occasionally makes a couple of corny jokes. When you kill the first Ahriman hunt, he says "guess he didn't *see* that coming." In the eikon fights he just goes balls to the wall and comes out on top. And I think that's the reason why Ultima chose planned him to be the vessel as Mythos. It's the insane level of adaptability and willingness to overcome that Clive has as Ifrit's dominant.
It's my favorite encounter and I beat the game. Others come close but the presentation and music of this fight was sooo good. Still sticks with me even after beating the game personally. Kupka was a product of his environment RIP

Titan Lost is definitely bigger. 15's Titan is big, but he's only the size of "normal" Titan from 16. He just looks smaller when you're fitting as Ifrit
Bro. Titan Lost is like 500 of FFXV's Adamantoises put together. He's literally several kilometers tall. He is an actual mountain that would take days to climb. Don't forget that Ifrit and the other "regular-sized" Dominants tower over normal people. 15's Titan is about the same size as 16's Ifrit, maybe a touch bigger.
@@naoko3749 Titan Lost is literally so huge that the final phase of the fight is Ifrit vs Normal Titan falling THROUGH Titan Lost's body. People confuse it as them falling through the earth itself, that's how large the scale is.

Titan certainly has risen to his greatest heights yet! Hard to say if Titan Lost or FF15's titan is the biggest hes ever been in the series
15 titan is only as big as 16 normal Titan
@@naoko3749 Titan Lost is literally so huge that the final phase of the fight is Ifrit vs Normal Titan falling THROUGH Titan Lost's body. People confuse it as them falling through the earth itself, that's how large the scale is.
11:10 and onwards is my favorite part of this boss music.
Feels like a mix of alexader raid music and Sephirot from ffxiv.
@@kbhalacythat’s the same vibe I got too. Such a treat.
As a XIV player the music 5:33 onward made me feel like I was doing a raid
Holy fuck imagine an xiv raid with the energy and flair of a fight in ffxvi
I had to stop myself from head banging to fight I was sooo fucking happy
Being this far in the story we've already seen references to the most recent ultimate raid in ff14 with Ultima looking like a twisted version of Alpha Omega from the final phase of The Omega Protocol. And the fact the Savage raid tokens so far have been Mythos, which Ultima calls Clive. The thought of what bahamut could throw at us is making me fear the full lore of FF16
What are you talking about, this WAS a raid.
Same here I swear I heard "bow down over dweller! Titan!" in the back of my head
Never have i had a mix of Persona, DMC and FF all in one boss fights music this fight was fuckin awesome
soken had no buisness to go this hard but im thankful he did
Square Enix created the second game in my life, whose soundtrack I will listen to the holes! the first is Nier Automata, now FF 16! Thank you! :)
This fight convinced me that this game is gonna be GOTY. This and Armored Core VI.
Yall are sleeping on Starfield and Spiderman 2 like crazy. Ff16 and AC6 are serious contender tho
@@JongleurBt1 Spiderman? no way bro 💀💀💀💀💀💀
Starfield is probably gonna be good though, even though Bethesda loves to lie
@@Brorrowind yeah. I have faith in Bethesda and Todd Howard on this one, even if I know I shouldn't
@@JongleurBt1 How can you sleep on a game that isn't even out? Starfield looks good, but lets not pretend Bethesda has released a good game in the last 10 years. They haven't
@@michaell4292 they didn't make a lot of games recently. I even think fallout 76 was their last game release. Anyway my point was that the year is far from over and some serious contender to goty are yet to come
Founder help me… ITS DO OR DIE!!
I’M COMING KUPKA!!
SHIIIIIIIT!
I said… YOUR TIME HAS PASSED!!!
AND…THIS GAME IS OVER!!!!
WHAT THE HELL HAS HE DONE!?
BURN!
Had to come back to this fight after finally completing 16. For me this fight is the sickest and best Clive fight out of all the boss fights in the game. The scale is like no other in the game. The boss fights past this one have lots of color and eye candy but none of them were as long and huge as this one.
Best fight in the game hands down.
5:35 This is a love letter to FFXIV fans. :D
BOW DOWN OVERDWELLER
UNDER THE WEIGHT
The music in this fight sounds straight out of an edgy PS2 game and I’m fucking living for it
Just beat this fight, the coolest shit I’ve ever seen, incredibly anime, immediately ran here for the song, Soken might very well be the best to ever do it
I wish I could go back to a week ago before I knew this fight existed to I could encounter it first time all over again
This style of giant boss fights is a lost art that god of war, Asuras wrath and a handful of others have carried, but goddamn this slaps so hard
They literally blueballed us in Ragnarok showed us the big Ragnarok/Surtr Monster in action then had him fight Freyr and die in a cutscene
Also no Jormungandr/Thor/Kratos 3 way is criminal
@@DarkRei7 that’s what I’m saying bro, how is FF more Gow than gow itself
@@alejandromomota6934yup, I got platinum on GOWR and still felt underwhelmed by the supposed "Ragnarok". Don't know why its a 10/10 for alot of people. 8/10 more like. This game feels more like GoW than GoWR itself.
@@alejandromomota6934with the GOW reboot they took a risk by making the game much more “mainstream” and took the safe approach in a sense. Worked out for them In terms of bringing GOW to a new audience but in turn sacrificed some of the things that truly made it special in the first place. The reboots are still good but I would be lying if I said I don’t miss the combat and spectacle of the older games
It's 100% a titan from Attack on Titan lol
This was the greatest boss fight/ sequence i had experienced in a video game... until Bahamut
i dont doubt. but in all honesty, i still feel like KH2 had better boss fights.
I just finished bahamut today and my god, after every boss I’m like “no way they top this” AND THEY DO
@@jbwolf4Wait for it…
@@marcosdhelenoim sorry but absolutely not lmao
@@marcosdhelenodude kh2 doesnt have better boss fights in any reality.
How good were Benedikta's yams for all this???
The thigh gap alone was worth all of it
This theme goes so hard. I’m 32 years old and was half dancing as I did this. Just makes your head wanna bang
I imagine every XIV player screamed when they heard this, myself included
Everyone talking about ff14, but I can't be the only one to get DMC vibes from both parts of this theme.
Of course
Well agreed, you can also look at everyone's eikons as like devil triggers also cuz thats how I viewed it.
Specificly reminds me of the slow metal rustic sound of the DMC3 cerberus fight
Def a child of ff14 titan with some dmc flavor thrown in. 👍🏼
"We need you to get tested for steroids."
Titan Lost Hugo: "Wha' for?"
I just finished this fight. I can't believe that I am only at the two thirds of the game.
WE'RE MAKING THE MOTHER OF ALL CRYSTALS, CLIVE. CAN'T FRET OVER EVERY SHARD.
I just beat this boss
Perfect timing
the most epic "you dare approach me?" moment in video game history
Why couldn't Odin's boss fight be like this!! 😩
Imagine chasing/running from Odin in the skies like this!! 🥶
Odins boss fight was actually my favorite, since its actually a boss fight. The other ones are just cinematic experiences tbh
Ifrit at the beginning be like:
''Holy shit I'm so fucked.... FUCK IT, WE BALL.''
Seriously, Clive was REALLY pissed at Kupka.
This gave me chills and left me in awe! LIKE HOW IS SOKEN LIKE THIS. 😤❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Really? You're impressed with this techno shit?? 😄😄
Soken can't help himself to compose these kind of tracks for Titan.
The second half is so unapologetically "Shall Never Surrender" from DMC4 that it hurts so good.
Bruh After Fighting Titan Lost Yesterday I can conclude that this is Game of the Year Right Here!❤
Clive's reactions throughout this fight were amazing.
Gotta love how in the beginning he is literally like "DUDE ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME"
the devil may cry vibes of this song is HELLFIREEE
Doing this part of the Game today [And Blind!] felt so good!!!
totally felt like a Devil May Cry Boss fight in some parts, and God the music was sick!!!!
The XIV vibes are strong with this one
DMC vibes are stronger.
@@RaxiazReduxwith the combat sure but the rest def heavy 14 vibes. If you played 14 and fought all the titan forms you would understand lol
@@RaxiazReduxnah, very 14
@@RaxiazRedux phase 1 reminds me of dmc 2
Ifrit's tail-bouncing arms-spread lizard run is the most adorble yet badass thing ever
IKR there really is something so endearing about ifrit sometimes like how you can clearly see certain emotions on his face at times.
@@renamamiya3190 He is best fiery dogzilla boi yes he is.
@@renamamiya3190idky, but it’s awesome he gains control and isn’t a complete savage, it’s very aot like where the attack titan just acts normal and understands demands in the earlier seasons. it’s funny to see him look around like a lost puppy during fights
This part and its music slapped so damn hard. Ifrit vs Titan was my most anticipated fight of the game, and I couldn’t believe it was as epic as it was. Totally exceeded my expectations!
This moment is what made me need to take a mental break until I could get back into the game. It was... WOO it was crazy.
And I loved it.
This fight was the most hype shit I’ve played in years. I would have paid 70 bucks just for this boss fight and the OST
I can’t stop listening to this OST
Titan Lost Lyrics (6:01)
[Verse 1]
An anvil from the heavens cast
Tumbling hard and tumbling fast
Round granite neck pours out threefold
A darkness begot in ages old
[Refrain 1]
Sky black with rain
E'er against its weight do his shoulders strain
Rise, crownless king
Of a reckoning, the muses sing
[Verse 2]
A sickle forged of adamant
To server the man from his hooded past
No more a slave to sorrow's gloom
In onychine eyes burn chthonic doom
[Refrain 2]
Fury and rage
For the gods below we invoke by name
Buried in lies
From madness white the mountains rise
[Chorus: Choir]
Soul flayed, spirit flown
Heart of stone!
Comе one, claim the throne
Hеart of stone!
Sins foul, unatoned
Heart of stone!
Eyes down, vengeance sown
Heart of stone!
If only I could relive the moment I heard this for this for the very first time all over again
How Chris Redfield felt while punching a boulder:
This boss fight was the best 10-15 minutes of my life!!!
I love that it just becomes a Sonic level for a minute.
Good to hear Koji's spitting again
dudes will literally turn into giant hostile mountain-sized rock monsters before going to therapy
I kinda wish all the Eikon fights had music like this, the orchestral pieces are nice, but Typhon and Titan Lost are just the exceptional fights to me, I wish each Eikon had a different genre of music attached to them
This looks like a Sonic/Asura's Wrath and I'm all for it, truly
This sounds so much like Sonic Rush music wtf! I love it! Give this man an award please!
Bro this sounds like a TEKKEN. Soken.. dude.. CHILL! Best ost ever.
