    Your videos are great. Thank you for being so clear and comprehensive. Venice is one of the most amazing cities in the world. After spending a month there (with a month long vaporetto pass), I did a lot of walking and a lot of getting lost. Well I prefer to think of it as not always knowing where I was but never being lost. Signs soon appeared to direct me to a landmark so I could always find my way back home to Castello. It was a wonderful month, I am eager to return.

    Went in late May/early June and visited all 6 districts. Fortunately, my hotel had a fantastic map. If you are unsure where you are, find a campo or church, then find it on your map. Bonus, if it is a big campo, there are often restaurants there, so it provides an opportunity to take a pause, have some water, a prosecco, and just enjoy.

    So helpful! Thank you. I would love to see a video from you two on how to eat on a budget or like a local when visiting Venice. Where is the closest grocery store to St Marks Square; where can you find simple meals without the fancy tourist price tag? That sort of thing. We aren’t big eaters or foodies and don’t want to spend any more than necessary on meals. We just want to enjoy exploring this beautiful city

    Amazing video thank you , is November good month to visit Venice ? And what time do the restaurants, cafes and transportation close usually?

    • @NomadCitello
      @NomadCitello  Рік тому

      Thank you for your comment! November is quieter than usual, expect some rainy weather and acqua alta (high tide); restaurants and cafes are usually open until 10.30-11 pm, some even later. There are night buses and waterbuses, but you should definitely check the timetables in advance because they run less frequently and not to all destinations.

    Sorry if this is a duplicate, but I thought I posted this earlier and now don't see it. Thanks again for this great series of videos. I'm wondering if you recommend using the Venezia Unica City pass? As I understand it, it can be purchased with all of the various tickets to particular sites as well for the ACTV vaporetti and also the Alilaguna water bus from Marco Polo to Venice itself, is that correct? Thanks for any guidance you can offer.

    • @NomadCitello
      @NomadCitello  Рік тому +2

      No worries, Tim! We definitely recommend checking it out, and yes, you can load museums and transportation tickets onto it, so it's definitely worth considering it. Not to mention that, starting from September, it might be the only way to get tickets at a discounted price, as we explain in the live event on our channel.

    • @NomadCitello
      @NomadCitello  Рік тому +2

      You would have to catch a train to Ravenna (it takes about 3 hours from Venezia Santa Lucia), and then ask your cruise company for directions to the port. To check train timetables, you can look on the Trenitalia website or the Trainline app.

    Great video, thank you. I look forward to returning to Venice in a few weeks with my family, having not been for over 20 years. 2 questions: I can not find in any web source the name of a small pizza restaurant owned by a Venetian (I believe) with an interest in America so the entire place was decorated with American automobile license plates. It was very out of the way and my wife and I enjoyed getting lost finding the place many, many years ago. I think that it was in San Polo or Santa Croce, but really am not certain. Does this ring any bells? Do you know if it still exists and if so where is it? My second question is in regards to your greeting of each other in the video at the vaporetto stop in this video. Is the commonly seen double kiss reserved for friends, while the single kiss for partners or has Nick Americanized Luna?

    • @NomadCitello
      @NomadCitello  4 місяці тому

      Hi, thank you for your comment! We've tried looking up the pizzeria you described, but we also couldn't find it, sorry 🙁
      As far as greetings go, friends will often kiss twice (or three times in some regions) on the cheeks, while in the video we kiss on the lips - so yes, that's reserved to romantic relationships 😅

    • @NomadCitello
      @NomadCitello  Рік тому +1

      Hi, if the map is correct it looks like it's quite close to the Venice airport. So you should check the schedule of the airport buses (nr 15 from the Mestre train station, or nr 5 from Piazzale Roma) and get off at the "Triestina Tessera" bus stop. We recommend downloading the app Moovit to look up routes and timetables.

    Hey, guys I recently saw your Vaporetto video.I checked the Vaporetto price, well one ride now costs € 9.5 .for tourists. At the same time, I found a ferry from Ferrovia E to Venice with a price of €2 per trip. Could you explain please why such a difference in price and is it worth using the ferry services? I will be grateful for the answer. Thank you.

    • @NomadCitello
      @NomadCitello  Рік тому

      Hi Charly, thank you for your comment! Regarding the new fares, we recommend you take a look at our live video recording on our channel, we explained all the changes and how they affect tourists.
      The ferry service you mention is probably the public gondola: you can find some of them around the city, and they carry people from one side of the canal to the opposite one where there are no bridges or (as in the case of Ferrovia) when the bridges are very big and tiring to cross. It's worth trying it if you want to experience the gondola without taking a whole gondola tour. Just keep in mind that they carry multiple people, and they usually have you standing rather than sitting.

    Do I need an antigen test to visit Italy?

    • @NomadCitello
      @NomadCitello  2 роки тому

      Hi, it depends on your vaccination status. Here are the different options to enter Italy at the moment: 1. Proof of vaccination cycle completed within 9 months before entering; or 2. Proof of vaccination cycle +booster; or 3. Proof of recovery from covid 19 within 6 months before entering; or 4. Negative PCR test within 72 hours before entering; or 5. Negative antigen test within 48 hours before entering. Hope this helps 😊
