    Your video was great, it helped us a great deal, but be warned if you want to use the Vapor Etta, we had to wait for sometimes, the 2nd or 3rd ferry, as it was totally full to the point of a human crush. Some people were getting very distressed. It’s not a comfortable ride, but Morano was lovely and not crushed, so go there

    Be aware of Venice public transport authority sponsored rip off. Venice is a beautiful city but it has a ugly soul Mar 2023 We got to Venice on Friday and purchased two tickets for Vaporetto in the train station. We asked the ticket office and another staff on the ground where to go and they pointed us to the line going to San Marco. None of the staff told us we need to validate our ticket. We got on the boat and a few stops 4 inspectors got on the boat and they came directly to us and another couple with suite cases. The boat was full of people but they targeted passengers with suite case. One inspector asked for our ticket and after checking it told us it is not valid and we need to pay 59 Euros fine each. Another 3 inspectors surrounded us and it was a pretty intimating situation. He asked for cash first and then said we can pay with credit card. I told him what if I have no credit card and he said we will take you off the board and we will call the authorities until you pay. This was clearly a government sponsored scam and they make money from it. Do not be afraid of pickpockets or scammers in Italy because the Venician government finds a way to rip you off legally. The inspectors can clearly check the time and date of your ticket. Based on when you bough your ticket they can give a warning, they can validate your ticket immediately of asked you get off the boat and validate it. It was a horrible experience and we regret spending two weeks in Italy and spending our hard earned money in this corrupt country.

There are also parts of the beach where you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds, so there are different options available!

The novelty with respect to what you say in your video is that it is not necessary to make any phone call , since it gives you the opportunity to choose between making the call or using my email , which I have done and immediately the codes have been sent to my email .We already have the codes printed and also on my mobile . I just have one other question about the Train Station in Santa Lucia - there is a luggage storage option there, correct? I think it's best for us to stow our largest bags from our cruise and just take our "carry-on" bags for the couple of days we stay in Venice. Then we can retrieve them before going to the airport. Is it easy to do that?

    • @NomadCitello

    I have just applied for the Venice Exemption Pass as I am stay 4 nights. However one of the weirdest things when you put in your details is they want your Date of Birth. However you can't just type in your birth date you have to use the calender to put in the date. As I was born in 1962 you have to spend a long time pushing the back button to get back to that date. Could the authorities rectify this point.

      Same here (I'm allergic!); You'd say "c'è alcol qui?" where the c'è is pronounced like the "che" in "cherry" and qui like "quit" without the t. Make sure you ask about any item on the menu besides pizza: wine is often used in pasta sauces and also in meat/fish entrees.

    Hello, Me again. If I wanted to get to San Marco from Santa Lucia what is the difference in taking A or B? They both say they go to San Marco. Additionally, what do the brown circles with a white digit indicate please?

    • @NomadCitello
      @NomadCitello Місяць тому

      Hi there! A and B (Arancio and Blu, respectively) are Alilaguna lines that connect the airport to the city; you can take either for the route train station-San Marco, but you need to get the specific Alilaguna ticket, which is different from regular vaporetto tickets. In general, there are several different routes to choose from to go from a main landmark to another, it's just a matter of choosing which timetable/speed/itinerary you prefer. As for the brown circles, we're not sure what you're referring to: do you remember where you saw them, and what digits were in them?

      @@NomadCitello Thank you for your reply. On the map of waterbus stops at 2 minutes of your video, on line B next to Rialto, there are two brown circles. One has a white figure 2 and the other has 2/. What do these signify please?

      @NomadCitello Місяць тому

    Very cool video, but actually about nothing. Venice is Disneyland! I was in Venice in February this year, and I paid for: Transport from Treviso airport to Treviso Station 4 euros per person + train ticket from Treviso to Venice Santa Lucia, for accommodation in a private apartment + for 3 days of stay 54 euros of tax! + entrance tickets to St. Mark's Basilica + to see the golden altar + for touring the roof + for visiting the bell tower + for Vaporetto + for visiting the church + for touring the Doge's Palace - huge amounts - and in the evening Venice is a ghost town, nobody lives here, it gets scary. I sincerely do not recommend this place to visit. After the introduction of the tickets mentioned in the film, it will become a real Italian mess. Grrr.
