    I'v noticed in all your videos that you add the ice to the tin separately, after you have poured the contents to make the drink in the other half of shaker, then shake. Where as others always put ice first and pour contents over the ice, then shake. Does that make a difference in any way, taste or otherwise? or is that just your personal preference?

    • @TheEducatedBarfly
      @TheEducatedBarfly  2 роки тому +1

      Yes it makes a huge difference no matter what tin you put your ice in always add it LAST. If you add it first like so many people do, you have ice rapidly melting in your tin as you make the drink. This adds A LOT more dilution to the final product. One of three small changes you can make to be sure you’re making the best cocktails possible is to add that ice last.

    My dad sent me this video and I enjoyed it. Was curious to observe your practice of sweetening cranberry juice. Were you getting a lot of feedback that your cosmos did not taste sweet enough without the added sugar?

    • @TheEducatedBarfly
      @TheEducatedBarfly  3 роки тому +3

      Yeah I got all natural cranberry juice with no added sugar at all and sweetened that. Cranberry cocktail made by ocean spray which most people use as “cranberry juice” not only has added sugar but also has other fruit juices added, such as apple and pomegranate.
