  • This was an absolutely crazy abandoned Time Capsule House, while it had been somewhat tossed and picked through, there was pretty much everything left behind inside.
The strangest thing, this abandoned house is right in the middle of a busy subdivision surrounded by neighbours

When you said this would be your grandparents house..... that brought back memories for me. My grandparents house wasn't this full of stuff, but there was stuff. My grandma passed in 2015 and my grandfather a year later. After my grandfather's funeral we went back to my house because my aunts wanted us to pick out some stuff. My cousin was there and we both asked where the black metal lunch box was. Someone had already claimed it. As we looked in a room with all their stuff that black metal lunchbox meant the most. As kids we would spend a week in the summer there and Grandpa would always come home from the candy factory with Paydays and Zero candy bars in that lunch box. It was a good memory for us. Thanks for stirring up some positive vibes for me today. I also liked how you took the time to line up the hot wheels cars. Great house with lots of treasures. Thanks for doing the videos the way you do. I enjoy them. Happy exploring.

I would love to buy a house like this and just go through everything that’s in it! So crazy. I sisters had a microscope set like that, so I would say it’s probably around 1960 or 1962. My sister still has it. And those time magazines oh my gosh! Very cool explore. Take care!

Serious grandparent vibes there! Looks like someone halfheartedly started to pack up, and the just gave up. Who can blame them, there are a lot of memories in that place! Loved it like always, thanks so much! ❤️ (wish you had looked at the date on that Nazi newspaper, would have been interesting)

This place is incredible. Both the structure and the contents are absolute time capsule!
Looking at the flat light switches, front trap toilets, ABS drain pipes and green jacketed aluminum wires in the basement above the Time magazines, I would estimate this house was built between 1970 and 1972.

This was a totally awesome abandoned house adventure. ❤ So much stuff left behind that's crazy.. All old antiques too, super cool. I have never seen a green toilet. That's a lot of spices. My grandparents had those huge wooden forks and spoons as well and paintings from England. Awe, the goat is so cute. I also love when you say hi in the mirror. LOL.... I have seen (and likely used) white, beige, yellow, green, blue, turquoise, gray, pink and black toilets !! Just like with cars, the wide selection of colors for toilets, sinks and tubs was common in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Growing up in the 1970s, I saw all of this. My house was built in 1977 and has built-in avocado green oven, stove and dishwasher. The toilets are marble patterned beige/brown.

A lot of it relates to the cold weather for eight months a year in Canada, and people tend to stay indoors, and have cooking and preserving equipment, hobby and games and kid's toys to stay occupied when shut in for long periods of time.

What an interesting house with so many stories to tell. Many items I can relate to. We live in a neighborhood where the houses were built in the 50's and early 60's. There is one abandoned house because the son cannot bring himself to clean out his dad's house (son is in his 60's). At one time there was a very old and in bad shape Rolls Royce parked in the driveway, but sometime this year is disappeared.

      @Puschit1 2 роки тому

Well, it's not that hard to imagine. Grandparents die and the children aren't all too eager to pack/sell everything immediatedly. For one they are in grief and they have personal memories for most of these objects. Secondly most of that wasn't antique at that time. For example these days it's hard to find 8tracks and collectors might pay you huge sums. But in the early 90s, which is probably when this house was abandoned, 8track was a medium that just got obsolete and therefore garbage. There also was no ebay and so on to easily find buyers.Time passes and the children themselves got old and have their own health issues, homes to care and so on.

I am sure the neighbors have many stories they could share. some would be able to clear up a lot of unknowns and mysteries. whatever they have to tell is going to be a well-kept secret. I imagine they keep vigil over the house out of respect for their neighbors' memory. so many things, so little time. my uneducated guess is that not only are the grandparents' things left behind but it looks like it also became storage for other family members to dump what they no longer used or wanted. there are way too many possessions for just one owner to handle. perhaps the family made a half-hearted effort to pack and decided it just wasn't worth it ?? not a nice way to pay their last respects to their parents/grandparents if that is the case. so many memories to be left in silence, alone and abandoned

To be honest I think every large neighborhood has a house like this, where I used to live there was actually 2 of them, one on a Major Street and the other on a side street not too far away from the first.
Both now have been completely renovated but they both definitely have a story.
The first is a $750,000 + house on a very nice but busy street close to all amenities, but it was sold 3 times in less than 13+ years the last owner owned it for approximately 7 years and throughout that entire time it sat partially renovated and abandoned, now the renovations are complete and the house has been resold.
The second house, from what I was told by the neighbors was abandoned after a family dispute and they failed to pay the property taxes this house literally had squirrels running in and out through the roof, but now it has been completely renovated and is occupied.

I actually don’t think these people were that old looking at most of the stuff. So strange it’s all just left it could be donated and or sold. Thanx for the video from Australia 🇦🇺

I wish you would have looked at the expiration date on the food. Could you hve asked neighbors and gotten info on this find? Looks like a hoarders house.😊

I'm so curious to know this.. werent there any insects, rats, moths, worms, etc.? Does the place smell of mold or mildew? How does it still look clean like there's hardly any dust??

The Beatles Let It Be 8 Track is worth a little over $1,000...That is absolutely insane that some of this stuff is just sitting there...I need to get back into Urban Exploration..I miss this lifestyle.

yeah, you had some orb action here too. as you panned left, to the green dress, in the basement, there was a tiny, very white one that flew in front of the dress. (that was at 23:12, and the next was at 23:19) Then, as you panned right towards that room way in the back, beyond the green dress, one the size of a baseball shot out into the room, also towards the green dress.

A time capsule indeed. So much stuff. Wonder why the family has just left like this. Lots of waste here. I have never seen a Coca cola bottle like that before. Wow! I wasn t paying attention to how many guys. Pretty neat stuff. Thanks Dave for taking us with you on this explore.

I'm always intrigued by the spice cabinets (but glad I cannot smell them in the video). This one had a bottle of McCormicks powdered mushrooms. I had no idea that used to be a spice you could get! I just bought a bottle of mushroom powder from HomeSense last night, thought it was a nouveau thing.

Surely you could find the last owners of the house in the public records and see what happened: did they die? Is it tied up in court? Is there any family at all? If there is no family, why couldn't it be deeded to someone by the courts who could then handle all that's there, clean it out, and prepare it for a new family? The neighbors could probably give some history as well.

I mean, if it's in the middle of a busy subdivision, I would think some neighbors would notice it's abandoned. I would love to know what happened to the people who lived there and why nobody cleaned out the home or wanted anything.
