When you get older and have kids, make sure the treasure you have found in Led Zeppelin to pass it along. Music like this isn’t made anymore and with young people like you listening, you can keep it alive Great reaction. Keep them coming 😁😁😁
You really must admire the delightful Steph with her great enthusiasm when listening to the Led Zeppelin you can see the real excitement in her face while she's taking the music in like a true Led Zeppelin fan she really has taken to the Led Zeppelin like a duck to water I always look forward to seeing her when she's on because she totally amazing and she really does have a great beautiful personality and you can see she's very sincere ❤️
Steph, I just have to say, you're reactions are awesome!!! I see in the past you succumbed to the comment section and reacted to the live versions of "Stairway to Heaven" and "Since I've Been Loving You" without hearing the studio versions first, but you really need to check out the studio versions of those two masterpieces. Those two studio recordings are among the greatest achievements in audio recording history, and both will touch your soul in a way the live versions simply can't. I hope you take my advice, because if you do, it will show you the true power and magic that was Led Zeppelin. Peace
Great reaction to the right -- studio cut -- version of a great tune Steph! You really lit up during the guitar solo, and dug the panning (shifting of the sound from one ear to the other), which features Jimmy's great sound production of the song. I remember when Zepp 1 was released, when I was all of 13 yrs old, and they became my fav band overnight. Every song on this lp is a banger!
robert plant - in his prime. one of the most powerful vocalists to ever exist. a supergroup if there ever was one. i was 15 in '68 when this vinyl hit the stores and i wore it out. had to buy another copy later on. there are so many classic songs that my favorite band - LOVEBITES - could cover but this one would be truly killer. vocalist asami could have a good time with this. of course they would never NEED to do it with their songwriting ability and their catalog but man it would be sweet
Being a vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist myself, this was one of my favorite bands with one of my favorite drummers. I played in bands that would play both cover songs and original songs, so I did play some of Led Zeppelin's songs in a few of the bands that I had played in. It's good to see that another generation is starting to discover them and see how good they are as musicians and songwriters. You look like you're really enjoying yourself listening to them. I'm sure that you're going to discover a lot of great bands from the 60's, 70's and 80's that you're going to like. Super great reaction Steph!
What a joyful reaction from you, Steph! 😀 The entire debut album was great, but for many folks this was the standout track. That was partly due to its length, but more just the amazing number of switch-ups they did, each section bringing more magic to the table. If you haven't seen their live version of "Rock 'n Roll" yet, I would heartily recommend it. I know you'll love it. 👍😊
Sorry but they were both 20, still really young though. Bonham turned 20 in May, & Plant turned 20 the day after there 1st rehearsal together, on August 20th. The whole story is really amazing though. Page had about 2 weeks to find 3 replacements for Yardbirds, 6 gigs that still needed to be played. The first rehearsal was on August 19,1968 they toured, came back to England, & recorded this album in October, it was completed totally in 4 days & total of 35 hours. Page & manager Peter Grant funded it, & it was released on January 12,1969.
You may also want to check out their debut performance in 1969, which is video of a Danish television special. Also, the 1973 Madison square garden performance
50+ years old. NEVER gets old. Check out the `73 MSG concert for perhaps the BEST version of this classic Rock/Blues song. WOW, time flies but as good today as it was then!
Welcome to Led Zeppelin‘s first album! Zeppelin live were a phenomenal experience but they were masters in the studio as well. If you put your headphones on and listen to this whole first album recorded late 1968 and close your eyes you probably won’t be able to get off the floor when you’re done LOL!❤
@@julienmarquet8612 that has to be one of the most hysterical opinions I’ve ever heard, but you’re entitled to it lol! Have you ever really taken the time? To really listen to the studio albums? I’m sure I’m much older than you and all we had first from Zeppelin was their studio albums long before the live release., They were different band live, which was fantastic. But their studio albums were masterpieces, especially in the early years. And by the way, even though I was at Madison Square Garden in 1973 for that iconic show, and even though I think that live version of stairway is phenomenal. In my opinion it can’t touch the studio version, the best recorded song of all time!
The live version from MSG is about 30 minutes long, it'll knock your socks off, even if you don't react to it, you most definitely need to listen and watch it, just for yourself . Excellent reaction as always! Many Thanks.
What you were trying to describe what you're hearing in your headphones is simply called Stereophonic separation/ mixing. This is why listening to the studio versions of classic rock is also key to getting to know the songs. Sometimes it is achieved in live masterings but in studio it was a requirement to have this audio quality, as a part of the overall feel and creativity of the composition.
Dear Steph, first off I am so glad that people like you, from your generation, are appreciating Led Zeppelin: I liked your reaction because it reminded mine when I was 10 years old. It was back in January 1970 and my mum came back from London bringing Led Zeppelin I and II albums as in Italy, where we were living at the time, music distribution was delayed somewhat compared to UK and US markets (mainly due to radio broadcast programming). I remember my older brother and me playing the album on our father's stereo in the living room (at the time it was through a valve amplifier), which we weren't allowed to use without his permission. We started sitting on a small sofa and by the end of side A we were both sitting on the floor trying to pick up our jaws from it! It was magic! Like... what you always wanted to hear but you never dared asking for... And we were both well acquainted with bands and musicians like Canned Heat, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Santana, Jefferson Airplane, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker and the like. Zep version of Dazed and Confused is probably considered one of the best tracks describing the tight connection / transition between Blues and Rock. Muddy Waters once sang "The Blues had a baby and they called it Rock 'n Roll". Well... to me Dazed and Confused is a testimony to that line.
One of their top 5 songs and guitar solos for me, this song freaked us all out when we first heard it, all time classic right away. From the same album, do How Many More Times, another utter banger. Enjoy pretty. Lady! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
Steph! You're adorable, love the new haircut! They literally don't have a bad song, just many styles and vibes! Their 1st ever practice together after forming was on 8/19/68, the day before Robert turned 20 yrs old. Bonham was 20, JPJ 22 and Jimmy 25 ... 3 weeks later, they set off for Scandanavia as "The New Yardbirds". Jimmy was the last remaining member of the great "Yardbirds" and they had contract performances to honor. When they returned, they went into the studio and recorded the 1st album in 36 hours over 5 days, finishing on 10/5/68. They shopped the album for a record deal and signed with Atlantic Records in Dec of 68. They renamed the band "Led Zeppelin" (a name that made fun of what some other famous musicians said the band's success would be like; they would go over like a lead balloon, and crash and burn! Umm, yeah we know, how wrong were those guys???) The album dropped in the US in Jan of 69 and they didn't stop churning out some of the best rock music of all time until John Bonham accidentally died in Sept of 1980! The 3 remaining members decided they would not continue without him, and that was the end of one of the greatest runs in music history!
Spot on, like Hendrix, Iommi and Van Halen, Page sounded so utterly new and just different from everyone else on the first album, like those others anove, his influence for guitar players stretches into Infinity by now, never to be forgotten.
Just one step closer to her to react the Royal Albert Hall live version. I'm such a "Zep at RAH 1970" hype girl, every one should know this legendary show.
Some referred to this style as "Heavy Blues". It's got a jazz structure though, as you noticed, with a verse at the "head", followed by a solo section which ends with a return to the head at the end. Stereo recording was still somewhat new in the late 1960s, and was explored as a field for a lot of experimentation with right-left channel separation, panning, cross-fading, etc. Honestly, I wish more new music would exploit these possibilities which, of themselves, add something to the arrangement of the composition.
The instruments coming through different sides of your headphones was a new advance in the recording technology back then. Lots of rock groups used that when the whole 4-channel/8-channel thing was new. Not so much anymore since it's not "new". Let me recommend a couple of songs that are unique. Black Betty by the group RamJam. This is the epitome of "garage-band Rock". And Can't You See by the Marshall Tucker Band. This is very early "southern rock". I enjoyed your reaction to Dazed and Confused. Mi would describe it as orgasmic. Take care..
Steph, if you want to hear one of the best performances on drums🥁 in history of rock music, i strongly recommend Led Zeppelin's "Moby Dick". John Bonzo Bonham...GOAT. Anyway, i am from Serbia 🇷🇸, still "dazed and confused", and i love your reaction!💓💓💓
I'm going to add my vote to those saying listen to the studio version first. As improvisational as they were on stage, you simply won't hear the same song the same way from them twice from any live recording.
Lovely reaction Steph! I've been binging on your Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd reactions and subscribed in the hopes for more. I'm a big fan of both bands - sadly, never saw Zep live but did get to see Pink Floyd! I know you said in one of your reactions that you are hesitant to try out Metal music - I understand, since some Metal will probably not be to your taste. However, there are many sub genres of Metal and one in particular (Symphonic Metal) may appeal to you. I would suggest you try listening to Nightwish - a band from Finland that has been around since the '90s. Their performance of "Ghost Love Score" live at Wacken Festival 2013 is a good place to start.
Also, Steph, this is just a sample of their studio brilliance, they have 10 CDs worth of discs for their entire catalog, since you are starting with a song from Disc 1, you should do Good Times, Bad Times next, the first song on the first album, and continue from there, at your convenience and in order, to see how their sound evolved over time and to enjoy their incredible mixes and studio magic, they could play many types of Rock Songs and acoustic classics but always sounded like Led Zeppelin. Do some live videos to keep that aspect going as well, many of their studio gems get expanded live, you just can't get better than them, period, their sound is astonishing! Rock On!✌
steph, if you're interested in the full led zeppelin experience, start from the 1st song on their 1st album and listen to their progress with different themes on each album 👌
Love your reactions... If you want a guitar solo try Jefferson Starship`s White Rabbit on November 8th 1975 at Winterland. And of course it also features the amazing Grace Slick and Lewis Carroll.

Thank YOU **Steph** **PixieHugz&Luvz**
The full version is not available on YT, she'd have to watch it from "The Song Remains the Same" concert movie, which I do believe is available on YT, which she should do anyway, such a great concert
Your happiness is a wonderful thing. Please do the studio version of The Ocean which is about the huge sea of people they played to back then. And then there's the live version of No Quarter from MSG '73 with one of Jimmy's best solos which I think is better than the studio version.
Steph...I've looked through your content and it appears heavily weighted toward contemporary pop. And that's fine, since it belongs to your generation. With that said, I recommend that you go back to the '50s, '60s, and '70s and listen to the great artists from that era. You won't be disappointed! I am talking about artists like the Beatles (obviously), the Rolling Stones, Everly Brothers, Chuck Berry, James Brown, Crosby, Stills, & Nash, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, the Beach Boys, the Bee Gees (you dipped your toe in the water with two of their tunes), Randy Newman, Dylan (of course!), Leonard Cohen (a must!), the Eagles, the Supremes, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Simon, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, the Byrds, Peter, Paul & Mary, Bruce Springsteen, the Mamas & Pappas, Jackson Brown, Don Henley, Tom Waits, and Donovan. That should keep you busy for some time.
I'd never have guessed that the young, pink girl with the fingernails turns out to be the COOLEST female music reactor of all, by totally getting stuck at Led Zeppelin and doing hard to find any sence in other music after, like me!
As great as this studio version is, you need to check out the live version from Madison Square Garden. It’s one of those performances that only Led Zeppelin could put on. By the end you will absolutely be Dazed and Confused.
When you get older and have kids, make sure the treasure you have found in Led Zeppelin to pass it along. Music like this isn’t made anymore and with young people like you listening, you can keep it alive Great reaction. Keep them coming 😁😁😁

They were, are and WILL ALWAYS BE the ultimate rock band.
Holy cow!! She is unrealistically pretty looks like a perfect anime character. Zeppelin is true rock n roll legends.
Like AI with a sweet. Personality!
Thank you Steph…your discovery of Led Zeppelin has helped me rediscover them :)
Yes, me too. I even discovered a detail I had never heard before this ! (Either I had forgotten it... ☺ ) In any case, this girl works as a catalyst.
The all time! GOATS! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
“Soul of a woman was created below” 🤭
If you like this you have to check out the 26 minute live version from MSG in 1973...well worth the time to listen
It’s hard to find, it’s not available on UA-cam anymore.
yeah lot of hidden gems in their bootlegs.
When they are doing the callback portion Jimmy is using a cello bow on his guitar.
In fact a double call back - JPJ on bass call and response with John Bonham on drums, and Jimmy Page on guitar and Robert Plane on vocals....
Yes 👍
It is an absolute Killer Song!!!

The full version is not available on YT, she'd have to watch it from "The Song Remains the Same" concert movie, which I do believe is available on YT, which she should do anyway, such a great concert
Jimmy Page produces Led Zeppelin recordings, so you can thank him for the ear to ear sounds.
I still listen today age 64
Are they not the best heavy rock band in history🤘❤️
Even better with a little herb to take it to next level
I'd never have guessed that the young, pink girl with the fingernails turns out to be the COOLEST female music reactor of all, by totally getting stuck at Led Zeppelin and doing hard to find any sence in other music after, like me!
It’s better to listen to their studio recordings, in my opinion because they’re PERFECT
As great as this studio version is, you need to check out the live version from Madison Square Garden. It’s one of those performances that only Led Zeppelin could put on. By the end you will absolutely be Dazed and Confused.
❤❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤❤
I recomienda you react to Stevie Ray vaughan: Texas Flood , voodoo Child or look at little sister. I think you'll appreciate his talent.
Check out some of Robert Plants solo songs.
This version is so much better than the live version. Only thing you miss is the great drumming of John Bonham.
U should try to listen in quadraphonic it will blow ur mind ❤
I think this was their tribute to getting stoned on drugs.
You could do worse than checking out YOYOKA's drum cover. She has her own UA-cam channel. It is a well presented faithfull cover.
The song remains the same the rain song together live
i try to love you baby, but you just bring me tears.. i came home yesterday, and you were wearing headphones with cat ears oh nononoright
Gotta turn it all the way up on your end please so we can hear it loud on our end. Thank you.
