Something I just realized on this rewatch is: The windows were blacked out? _Well, there’s another reason he could’ve been pulled over for._ For those that don’t know, it is *illegal* to have blacked out windows on a car. Even police vehicles aren’t allowed to have them!
Edit: I understand that the law on that actually varies from state to state. Still, pretty sure completely blacked out windows is kind of a big no-no.

I know this is half a year old but it varies by state. It's a percentage thing in many/most states and yes, if the percentage you *can* have blacked out/tinted is higher in one state than another and you visit the other state with those windows you _can_ be pulled over (and potentially fined) for it.
Where I live, there are a lot of cars with the back windows blacked out
You can have blacked out windows on the Backseat but not on front especially not your windshield

Hey Rebecca I’m kinda new to your channel and I know this is 5 years late but the man you described is most likely my Paw Paw! (My grandpa) His description to yours was 95% accurate, my Paw Paw (Mark) had the same car. The thing is ( I think you’ll like it more ) that he said to us 5 ish years ago was that he was getting his license revoked for reckless driving! So if that was really my grandpa he deserves it because he has always been rude and self centered the first day I met him. Sorry that happened to you.
Assuming this guy is really your grandpa, I hope your grandpa learned his lesson that day. Taking someone's life in a reckless manner could literally put him in prison for a long time.

I almost got run over by a car too. When I was around eight my two sisters, and I were walking home when too guys who were talking to my sisters made a huge scary noise for me so I stepped back into the street. My sister yelled to walk forward so I took a step forward, and a car that was going really fast drove by a few inches away from me. The car was also going past the speed limit.
I had a similar experience to this, like last month, I was walking with my mum, and I went behind a white van in it's driveway, I was halfway there when it launched backwards and I *dashed* to get out the way but it could of been too late to do that but luckily I didn't end up as mashed potato.
People like that always get in trouble xD

heck, I've have had a lot of near-misses cause of teens wanting to hurry home and drove right a few inches in front of me cause I was at the other end and usually yell while shaking an angry fist at them saying "Come on man, I'm walking here!" and a majority of this school year 2019-2020 of senior year in high school having me not yelling an angry fist at someone... when around the time in November of 2019 *_during the reality was throwing a brick at my head w/o even saying "head's up!"_* moments of my life where I actually got sideswiped by a car's rearview mirror right when I took two steps out into the crosswalk *(When I had the right away mind you)* and got hit in the left arm right above my elbow... nothing too serious though... just got a big old nasty bruise that hurt like anything else for a few days... and the guy (or gal) just stopped a few feet away from me and DOESN'T EVEN BOTHER PARKING THEY'RE CAR AND GETTING OUT OF IT AND CHECKING TO SEE IF I WAS ALRIGHT! NO! THEY JUST SAT IN HIS CAR LIKE AN IDIOT PROBABLY THINKING "Oh she's probably fine... I mean she's still able to walk herself across the street *_doesn't know I'm cursing profanity after profanity to them about how they could tell I was crossing the Gosh dang street_*
Anyway, long story short the guy (who I did recognize from choir) who was driving up the hill and DID stop for me did drive right up in front of me while I was walking across _the rest of the way_ of the crosswalk and his friends and all of which were looking at me with concern on if I was ok or not, sending the eye message asking if I was ok... which I sent him a look back at him meaning that I was fine that my arm was hurting like anything else... and they drove off...

I have several stories of almost being hit by cars, but the one I remember most happened in middle school. I was at the front of the pack in a different school crossing when *something* just made me stop dead. Less than a second later, this woman comes blasting through, going at least 60mph, with the tip of my nose maybe an inch away from her mirror. Suffice it to say I was shaken up by that one for a while.

I went to the grocery store on my bike once and I go an unusual path to avoid cars and getting thorns in my wheels, but it requires crossing this little area where cars come in. I was leaving and about to cross when i stumbled and rolled my bike a little, i took a second to readjust myself and right then a car passed by. I most definitely would've gotten hit if i went when i planned to, considering that area is a bit of a blind spot.
