Dang Brad!!!! Thank you so much!!! That’s a great compliment. So what I wanted to express here, is that it’s unnecessary to spend 1500 bucks to go sit in a classroom for the information. With the paid content, I believe the same value can be given from your own home for extraordinarily less money. I’ve put a lot of time and thought into this series, and I want everything to be truly valuable to the consumer.
Man I’ve been thinking about this compliment all day. I’m so flattered by your words. The “those who can’t do, teach” saying is so prevalent. I’ve talked to a ton of techs since I started this. So many of them only had limited hands on training, or never ever saw their trainer fix a single dent. That’s ridiculous to me. The only way or reason that I feel qualified to teach the future techs of this industry is because for 15 years I’ve clawed my way to the top of the industry. I truly care about progressing this industry to the “next level.” I hope guys like you take every bit of information I have, and build upon that. When the time comes I hope all of you who cared enough to stand among the best, pass on your hard earned information to the next generation. Of course it would be disingenuous for me to say that the “job” aspect, supporting my family and whatnot doesn’t play a part in this. But more than anything I hope I get to leave a mark on this industry.
Thanks Jim. I have watched hours and hours of PDR videos trying to psych myself up into taking the plunge and spending a motza on tools and having the guts to work on someone else's vehicle. As far as basic glue pulling epuipment, like your slide hammer and mini lifter.... first of all start with a mini lifter it’s going to get you nicer center pulls. Be careful with the feet on rails because they can dent them when pulling. Any reputable company will sell quality lifters, but I used one from A-1 tools for years with only minor issues. One of the feet fell off. I repaired that with a length of solder (sp?) that I melted in both ends. My Keco mini lifter has served me well for years, and shows no signs of slowing down.
