- Today we will take a look at the blending technique. If we have never meet my name is Zan and Welcome to my UA-cam channel. Make sure you subscribe for more PDR related content
Blening is one of the techniques used for dent repair. This is an advanced tecnhique that is not for beginners. If you are just beginning to learn PDR this might not be something you want to learn at this moment but its great to see it and get familiar with it so you know what else you can learn in the future.
If you are past the beginner stage of dent repair, then PDR blending is something you would want to learn as it will make your repairs faster and cleaner at the end.

Blending saves me tons of time on rails.
Yes it is a huge time saver 👍
Hello from San Antonio, Texas 🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
Greetings back to San Antonio
First time I saw blending done live was when I had PDR training from Zan in Slovenia. It was a hail car with a lot of small hits all over. First I was thinking that just the rails will take the whole day. Turned out that with Zan's blending skills it took less than two hours :D Thanks for the great video again!
Aleksi Puurunen thanks for coming over buddy!
A small mechanised hammer to do this could be easier if RSI becomes a problem, and it could! Excellent tutorial.
Thank you!
Svaka čast brate. Tvoji klipovi su možda i najbolji koje sam našao na UA-cam. Hvala na trudu
Hvala Darko!
Keep em coming. Great job Zan.

You da Man !!!
Thank you! I just fix dents
Great videos Zan. I’ve been watching a lot of pdr videos and yours are by far most informative and detailed in a short amount of time. It feels like I’m getting a free subscription to something that I couldn’t afford lol
Also do you have a video on leverage? What I mean I guess is how to find points to push away from inside of the panels, I always seem to have a hard time either understanding or visualizing how it’s done.
Thanks. Sorry, I don't have any videos about that.
Hey mate good job , i woulda personally just glue pulled them lol but I get you're trying to show ppl what blending is .
Gooooo Gruuuuu!!!! LOL. Krystal says Hi
Hope all is good , can't wait to see you back here again ! Ah yes I've now subscribed to your channel!
Ash Betooquick thanks buddy! Yea me too 👍
Hello zain Muhammad Irfan from Pakistan how u r u r my best teacher and I hope u r my best friend also
Hi there. Greetings to Pakistan and thanks for watching
Innanzitutto complimenti! Ti vorrei chiedere una cosa, adesso li hai nascosti bene solo abbassandoli.. Ma se un auto non è da verniciare e c è un bollo (di quelli piccoli e profondi) che con la colla non viene su.. Come fai?
Great video and astonishing to see such a technique. With the fast forward parts of the video, it is difficult to see but what kind of force is required for this blending technique?
Hei. Not a lot of force is required.
muy buen video explicativo!!! aproximadamente cuanto tiempo te llevo realizar cada trabajo de blending? gracias.
Thank you!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you :)
great video Zan. Help me understand something. there are people who state the vibration produces ripples that bring the dent up and not making a 30 ft deep pond into a 30 ft deep ocean? I have observed that happening. maybe both happen?
I don't think that there is vibration who moves the metal up. Makes absolutley no sense to me of how that would be possible. SARCASM ON: Maybe when you put your car in neutral and put the pedal to the metal the whole car vibrates and dents should just pop out right? :)
I would not believe it either, however I have actually seen it with my own eyes. I was shocked, I can not duplicate what I saw, but it did raise a dent striking inches away from the dent. It took 20 minutes of tapping, but it moved up. Tom Listed and John Highley also teaches that technique. Recently I saw a video by Brice Kelly that mentions the technique.

Have you got a video on blending a crease.
No, but that is a great idea! :) Thank you
Hello Zan, thanks for the great explanation. I am interested in learning how to blend. I would like to order the ratchet hatchet hammer. however, I do not know exactly which tips fit for it. could you please recommend a link or a page where I can order the tips? thank you and best regards, Paul
Hi Paul. Where are you from? That way I can recommend you a website to order tips from.
@@vidicz
Hi Zan, yes that would be really nice.I am from Gernany. Many greats.
@@pauln.804 All the standard tips will fit on it. I use Edgy Tools tips and Dead on dent tools tips. They can both be found at TDN Tools from UK
@@vidicz thx! Wish you a nice weekend!
I definitely need a in person hands on training to see what I'm doing wrong. Seems to take me forever to blend
Yea a hands on training can help so much. I do offer training however mainly in the winter time, since in summers we are busy with hail
Hey Zan, nice video! Indeed, since I learn blending I can repair dents faster and cleaner. BTW. Can You tell song name at the end? 😉
WoZnY1988 I will find that out for you :)
Its from UA-cam music library and its called: I did That
@@vidicz Thanks! Now i can play it in my car. 😁
What tips are you using with the ratchet hatchet?
Edgy knockers and dead on dent tools firing pin
pratim vas video i pomaze pravo.
gde bi mogao poruciti ovaj ovaj cekic?hvalla...
U europi je super stranica denttoolcompany.nl. Hvala na pratnji!
Hei what is YOUR FAVORITE blending hammer and why?!?!
GLUE PULLING VIDEO I MENTION:
ua-cam.com/video/-HKl_sg5qFA/v-deo.html
So I'm not sure if I completely understand, I come from a word traditional body work type background. So if you're making it a very shallow dent is the dent coming all the way out or does that mean the dent is gone for most people but for people in the industry it would still be a visible blemish? I mean to be fair newer cars have a ton of orange peel and waviness anyways so I don't know if it matters too much but I just wanted to make sure it understood what you mean.
You are correct in a way. It is nor making the dent come out, it is knocking down everything around it but so minimal that even us in the industry would not be able to see it if the job is done correctly.
Dear Zan
Where can I buy this blending hammer
Hei Dominik. I would probably go to Keco to buy it!
Thanks
FairPlay mate, good video but I’m a dent man and know for a fact you can’t just tap a hammer around and make the dent come out, 8 or 9 times out of 10 you need to access the damage from behind the panel and then finish off the repair 🙄😂
Well it was shown in the video :) What do you do on the rails then if you need to push every dent? I agree that the pushing is faster and better but what then where there is no access?
great video.your sound transition could kill a old person
Thanks. Yea that was one of my older videos. Like with anything we are always learning and I have learned to spare the old persons and adjust the audio in future videos :)
Where I can get this hammer????
I know KECO was selling them
How to do it on an thick aluminum door ?
Aluminum is harder to manipulate then metal. Especially if its thick like you mentioned. You can try a heavier hammer or use a tap down to apply more direct and stronger force
What tips and blending hammer are you using in this video?
The blending hammer is the ratchet hatchet and tips are the knocker and oh la la from Edgy tools and a Firing pin from dead on dent tools
What is a good blending hammer for a Beginner? Also affordable
Do you think 150$ is affordable?
@@vidicz sorry barely seen this, under 100?
@@JesusRamos-bp2bi A1 have a nice new blending hammer called K2 Sherpa for 99$
Wow just by using a blending hammer no glue pull
Yes some smaller dents can be blended out :)
Por favor permita subtitulos en español, havemos muchos ispanos interesados.
I will see if I can do that

How are you doing buddy?
@@vidicz all good bro. full up daily and loving being back on the tools. love the vids. see you soon
Ratchet Hatchets can be purchased at dentcrafttools.com, ansonpdr.com, kecotabs.com..
Thank you Zan, I am so happy to see that you fully understand the benefit of the hammer!
You are welcome. Thank you for making this great product :)
This is sorcery to me.
I promise I am no wizard :) Hope the explanation was good
