  • Today we will take a look at the blending technique. If we have never meet my name is Zan and Welcome to my UA-cam channel. Make sure you subscribe for more PDR related content
    Blening is one of the techniques used for dent repair. This is an advanced tecnhique that is not for beginners. If you are just beginning to learn PDR this might not be something you want to learn at this moment but its great to see it and get familiar with it so you know what else you can learn in the future.
    If you are past the beginner stage of dent repair, then PDR blending is something you would want to learn as it will make your repairs faster and cleaner at the end.

    First time I saw blending done live was when I had PDR training from Zan in Slovenia. It was a hail car with a lot of small hits all over. First I was thinking that just the rails will take the whole day. Turned out that with Zan's blending skills it took less than two hours :D Thanks for the great video again!

    great video Zan. Help me understand something. there are people who state the vibration produces ripples that bring the dent up and not making a 30 ft deep pond into a 30 ft deep ocean? I have observed that happening. maybe both happen?

    • @vidicz
      @vidicz  2 роки тому

      I don't think that there is vibration who moves the metal up. Makes absolutley no sense to me of how that would be possible. SARCASM ON: Maybe when you put your car in neutral and put the pedal to the metal the whole car vibrates and dents should just pop out right? :)

    • @allenwilson6585
      @allenwilson6585 2 роки тому

      I would not believe it either, however I have actually seen it with my own eyes. I was shocked, I can not duplicate what I saw, but it did raise a dent striking inches away from the dent. It took 20 minutes of tapping, but it moved up. Tom Listed and John Highley also teaches that technique. Recently I saw a video by Brice Kelly that mentions the technique.

    So I'm not sure if I completely understand, I come from a word traditional body work type background. So if you're making it a very shallow dent is the dent coming all the way out or does that mean the dent is gone for most people but for people in the industry it would still be a visible blemish? I mean to be fair newer cars have a ton of orange peel and waviness anyways so I don't know if it matters too much but I just wanted to make sure it understood what you mean.

    • @vidicz
      @vidicz  24 дні тому +1

      You are correct in a way. It is nor making the dent come out, it is knocking down everything around it but so minimal that even us in the industry would not be able to see it if the job is done correctly.

    FairPlay mate, good video but I’m a dent man and know for a fact you can’t just tap a hammer around and make the dent come out, 8 or 9 times out of 10 you need to access the damage from behind the panel and then finish off the repair 🙄😂

    • @vidicz
      @vidicz  2 роки тому +2

      Well it was shown in the video :) What do you do on the rails then if you need to push every dent? I agree that the pushing is faster and better but what then where there is no access?
