Training isn't larping if you're taking it seriously and it's realistic. I do think that civilian militia or preppers should keep things very basic and not worry about being an operator. I used to think regular people buying stuff like body armor was a waste of money until the summer of love riots happened , now I keep a set in my pickup.

Good info, thanks. And yes, I recall some of the matches where we'd burn up something like a thousand rounds in a weekend and that's just rifle. You were really into the matches then. Fun times.

Great video. I have a lot of improvements to make. Just took 6 days (not consecutive) of training. Helped me so much, learned a few more drills and got some dedicated instruction and feedback. Really helped from start to finish. But still have to take weekly/daily practice seriously and not get caught up in “acquisitions”.

Good advise - train with your firearm(s) and get pro instruction too.

Man…. I miss the days when West Coast F.A.S.T. Co. started out. We were paid with workout and shoot four days a week. Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, paintball in TAC houses…..it was amazing…..Everyone should attend a basic course at LFI, Gunsite, Thunder Ranch, etc. at least once. But refresher courses are advised as well.

Training is important. Not necessarily because we’ll ever need it, although that is always at least a faint possibility. The reason training is important is because it maintains a culture of martial readiness (or a “Warrior culture”) for the next generation. It keeps gun, ammo, training, and gear companies incentivized to continue offering their products and services to civilians. Look at HK, for example. There’s less of a culture of martial preparedness in Germany, so they don’t care about the commercial market. A well regulated militia is the duty that comes with the right. It is our duty to maintain a well regulated (meaning equipped and ready) militia (meaning armed populace capable of fighting). If you want your kids and their kids to be able to buy a rifle, a case of ammo, some NODs, and go take a night fighting class… then you have to maintain the demand for those things or the commercial side of the market that supports those things will go away and they will only be available to the government.

I will be perfectly honest, I watch a lot of these "LARPer" guys, they are entertaining, and they usually have relevant information. I got no criticism, same thing we did when I was active duty, play war.🤷‍♂️

2nd amendment right for well regulated militia simply means skillful and disciplined - see Noah Webster 1828 dictionary. Arms bearing in 2nd amendment does allow training to be skillful and disciplined when bearing arms. IMO.

I had a firearm in my hand at 7 or 8 because my father was an Instructor. I became an instructor to educate my kids and other youth. I still take other people's classes to see if there are additional things I can learn.

I larp as an old fart that is too slow to run and too old to take a beating, but can drill a hole pretty much where I want to if the need arises. I agree with you that training is a good thing.

Americans are born with the right to bear arms, I don’t think New York or Massachusetts knows this. I’m glad I don’t live in those states!
