How was this posted 9hrs ago? The vid was posted 11s ago??
Magic
Does pippo display captions in the popout? Thatd be a killer feature for me
@@cap1130 he made the comment before he made the video public. Most creators will try to release their video at the optimal time for the algorithm.
Could you do an open source only one? Could be interesting to talk a bit about brew, etc?
You haven’t watched all of his mac apps videos and it shows
@@mitchelldorrance i watch all of Quinn's content but i don't remember an open source focused app video - plz correct me if im wrong
@@wileysneak it was about brew, so not really but kinda
@@wileysneak I think he's just saying that he already made a homebrew video. You are correct though, I don't believe that he has made one specifically about open source apps
@@mitchelldorrance I see, sorry for the confusion, maybe I should've listed off more than just one example lol
Quinn, how can you leave us hanging like that?? Show us the picture you generated at the end!
And thanks for the video you're the best 💕
he did, it came up after the cat picture.
16:51
Oh, that was it?! K
@@halswift he did ask it to be 2D which is... a choice :D
Quiet Reader stated that it needed to be able to have full access to download folder, and send data you are reading back over the internet so this is a big NO GO personal security hole for me. RED ALERT!!!! Liked the idea.
These are my favourite videos from Snazzy. I'm relatively new to Macs and there is so much we can do on it.
This is the best one yet. Ended up downloading every app. Wow. Thanks Quinn
Thanks for mentioning Pippo! Got a ton of downloads out of the blue so I was trying to figure out where everyone came from 🥳
To people who give it a try, note that it doesn't work for Chrome. Pippo uses Apple's default media playback controls, and it seems that Chrome uses their own implementation that does not listen to the system forward and backward commands that I can send through Shortcuts unfortunately.. 😞
ahh yeah I’m using Arc which is built on chromium, makes sense now. Anyway to implement it for chromium pip?
@@ArgoFowl unfortunately I haven't been able to think of one! The way Pippo works is that it sends the default playback control commands through shortcuts. These allow me to control whatever is playing in the PiP window (normally that is..). I don't know of a way to send commands into Chromium players without it turning into a hacky scary thing. So unfortunately it won't work for all usecases for now..
So it doesn’t work in other Chromium browsers either? Bummer because I’m also using Arc and Pippo was the best app on the list!
@@johnfstockland I don't have access to the Arc beta, but I'm afraid not no, sorry!!
Chrome has a separate extension for this there, Pippo is awesome for everything else!
I love how thorough you are with every app. I now have a bunch of new apps I never knew I needed! Fingers crossed more apps are created so you can tell us about them! 😆
These have been fun to watch! Love this mini series you’re doing 😁 you make me like my MBP even more each time…and I already love it! Lol
it's the guy that wrote the music to that thing i heard! hello randy!
@@harvey.c heeey! 😂 what’s up Harvey!
i can't believe you didn't show that stablediffusion image that was almost done generating
You should put out one of these but for inexpensive paid apps. 🤙🏻
I think this is a great idea!
Great video! Thank you for suggesting Pure Paste and Quiet Reader. Amazing apps.
your videos are consistently adding value to my life and productive, thanks Quinn
I love these videos. I'm going to be grabbing a few of the recommendations!
As a programmer and high school student, I find many of these apps useful, so thank you for these apps and for making my life much easier!
One app I install almost immediately on any new Mac is Default Folder X. I use mostly one feature: Click on a Finder window from an Open or Save dialog to open that folder in the dialog. How people can use computers without this is hard to imagine for me (I have been using this app since MacOS 9).
That first app is brilliant for people like me who are dyslexic, who can get overloaded with to much information ! Thanks Quinn ! ❤️
Try Mission Control while in Quiet Reader. It is like another desktop until you shortcut the next time.
Screenshots look much nicer with just text on white BG.
Servus
This is one of the best app collection videos I’ve seen in a long time - will install most of these asap✌️
2nd video which I see from you and again new useful apps. Also your ENG is so UNDERSTANDABLE! In a word subscribed.
That unsatisfying ending! I wanted to see the Macintosh on top the skyscraper man 😭
Great video btw
Haha sorry! And thanks!
NOOOOOO!!!! I wanted to see what image you made at the end! 😂 Thanks so much for this info! I will definitely be exploring some of these apps tomorrow. Thanks!🤘🏼
Wow! This was so useful! I was searching for apps like Hovrly, Pippo and Pure Paste for ever! Thank you so much for the recommendations
I love this series. Keep them coming. It helps us and the developers.
love your diving in those little apps!
Thanks for the great review of the AirPod Pro 2s. I picked up a pair at Costco, I would not have noticed all the new features without your review. Thank you Snazzy!
Always love these videos from Snazzy Labs.
The problem with this video series is that I end up downloading almost all of these apps because they are so cool and then I have like 150 apps running in the background and my taskbar is completely overwhelmed by icons (even with Bartender) 😅
use bartender for menu bar, duh...
@@filip1234ize hidden bar is better
Love the MenuBarX one! Nice work, Quinn
Thank you so much. Never have seen so many useful Apps like in your Videos.
Thank you for telling me about Hotkey app, it was exactly what I was looking for. I have alfred installed but I never was able to figure out how to create shortcuts for opening certain folders and apps.
Really love this series on your channel, got tons of heavenly apps from you! Thanks a lot
I always appreciate your videos! Pippo and Hovrly are awesome!
I could watch these all day every day, thanks Quinn!
Loving this, hand mirror from the last video has literally changed my life lol
I can’t believe you cut it short before the image loaded. Was looking forward to seeing the output!! 😂
Clipboard managers like flycut also allow saving without formatting by just pressing a button, very handy and multi purpose
I use Jumpcut for this matter. Works pretty well too.
I don't comment a ton but I had to mention how much I appreciated you mentioning the name of the app both before *and after* talking about the app. A+
This kind of video is one of the main reasons I subscribe to your channel and recommend to others also - just amazing - keep up the excellent work that you do with Mac - my Mac go to guy! Brilliant 👏🏼🙌🏼
Super good video. 17min i genuenly love to watch. Not trying to fake ads inside. Super good guy.
For previews on the dock Dock Exposé and DockAltTab are both free and open source
Less then 7 seconds into the video I clicked like b/c you got straight to the point. You did’nt give some long story and I did not have to go fishing in the comments to see if someone posted when you actually start the video. On top of that you talk about really good apps. Keep up the good work!
Really awesome tips again. Thanks for putting this list together!
Now, this is useful. Thanks, Quinn!
Thanks a Ton, grabbing Latest right now and pippo.
love you videos bro nice apps you come up with some i never herd of and good! thanks
Love these videos! The apps from the last vid you made have changed my life!
Amazing Video, Thanks for this, so many apps I didn´t even knew existed!
You can remove the shadows from screenshots with the native tool on macOS. Just hold the Option key when taking your screenshot and it works when you take photos of individual windows.
Thank you, Quinn! I enjoy this series! 👍🏽
I think this is one of the most useful vids I've seen recently! Thanks Quinn!!
Finally I've found a tech blogger with a sense of humour. The guy understands that he should entertain people and deliver content in an exciting and fun way. Thanks Bro.
please make more something like this! it's so helpful!
thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing information regarding these awesome apps.👍
So many great ones! Thanks for reviewing and sharing.
hey Quinn, thanks for all of these contents !Is there any free app which helps for ntfs write and read issues?
Hey Quinn. Do you use an iPad for leisure/work and have any app suggestions? I was going to update my MacBook Pro to a new one but honestly I’m leaning more towards getting an iPad Pro instead because I just don’t need one.
Wow, when I tried out Notes SE I instantly fell in love with it
Thanks my man, I 've discovered some really niftty apps on your channel. Keep up tge good work!
Really loved the quiet reader and the tempbox.
I love these videos. I always find something new and useful.
Nice compilation! How do you record this OBS? or Ecamm? Animation are surreal!
Loving these videos. These are exactly the things I would never in a million years have heard about. You gotta do us a Windows version of this some day for those of us that love Mac but have to use Windows machines for work or other reasons. We dying out here without this stuff.
Man!!! How have I been living without you!!!!
Thanks for all the great recomnendations! I downloaded 3 so far. Have you seen "One Thing"? It is one of my new favorites for putting a quick to-do or piece of inspriation in the menu bar?
Love your channel!, you inspired me to make my own! cheers 😀
Bro I love these videos thank you for making these :)
Thanks for another great video and recommendations. Being a Mac user all my life I am amazed at the gems that you discuss. Quick question: What are the best base apps to be using on your Mac right now, email client, browser, video chat, calendar app etc etc? Perhaps an idea for a future video? Keep up the good work
I've been using Arc Browser its neat and beautifully made ,and Spark for email stuff it allows you to integrate all your emails even gmail.
Super useful like always. Thank you
Awesome video, these videos are becoming my go to place to learn about new free apps! Very very useful, thank you so much for putting these together? Could you please also do one with amazing paid apps? Thanks a ton!
Very helpful and super good apps to use!
I did enjoy it and I’ll download at least 2 of them.
Keep uploading gems as these apps please!
I’m installing Temp Box, Latest and Diffusion Bee. Thanks a lot! 👌🏼
Hi, your content is extremely valuable... thanks!
Can I suggest you might review Default Folder X which I've used for years and find indispensable. The name doesn't really describe how useful it is to conveniently access favorite and recently used files and folders with a minimum of fuss.
Oh man, I love this series
Another great list, thanks a mil! Let's see that Mac on the skyscaper
Thanks for hourly couldn't find it without your link
Love this series!
the default lg clock app on Android has the scrubber too, it's a great feature and the only reason I use it over the Google clock app
Luv it Pippo…! Thanks for recommending it
Great to learn about "Latest". I used to use an updater on my old 12" PowerBook and never found one I liked since then.
Genuine useful apps 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Great video as always! 👍🏻
Excellent vid man!
Hey! Thanks for the great recommendations! One question, how were you able to add Hovrly to your menu bar? I am trying on my Mac and I am unable to add it.
same here, did you figure it out?
Do you know of any drawing/sketching app which I can control via my iPhone? Would be amazing to use the iPhone as a drawing tablet instead of using the mouse on my iMac. Maybe also with the Magic Trackpad without using pressure?
Thx in advance, love your app videos!
Many "Thank Yous" - I am grateful for this. Keep up the awesome work.
menubar x was the thing i needed all my life. I instantly purchased it. I use it for google web apps like keep, calendar and tasks. Since there are no real weab apps for it. I could finally uninstall chrome web apps like whatsapp and shady cross platform todo apps. half of my mac user experience is only as as great as it is because of you snazzy, thanks!!!
Hmm Whatsapp has an app. It's an Electron app but still better than opening the full web version.
An improvement on last time, more actually still work on Mojave - thanks Snazzy !
Hi Quinn would you happen to have a replacement for Tempbox, it doesn´t open on Sonoma
Pure Paste ... just downloaded it and gave it a go. It's awesome, thanks for the tip.
Omg This helps So much Thank You!
Quinn you mention HotKey. I love the concept of this application, but have you found a way to setup a shortcut for ScreenShot? I know you can Shift-Command-5, but I'd like it to be even simpler if possible! Thanks!
Can you please suggest a versatile image viewer for mac?
I use Scroll Reverser and it is absolutely great. It automatically changes the scroll direction when you are switching from touchpad to mouse or vice versa.
But... that's something you can set on Preferences. What am I missing?
@@AlejandroLZuvic not for an external mouse separately. The preferences menu treats the trackpad and external mice the same way
Ooh, I desperately need this! Thank you for mentioning it.
@@mrparker_lol you're right, my Logitech software reverses the scroll, but in macOS there's no way to set it up individually.
Every one of these videos are amazing!
I'd like to recommend Drafts as an alternative to Notes SE, I use it like you use Notes SE.
Is there a version of Mediakeyforwarder for Apple silicon?
Pure paste is super clutch as a student, thanks bro.
Fantastic channel, thanks
Amazing video as usual, I installed Lates app, Pippo, TempBox and pure paste immediately
I am getting blocked by Apple when installing TempBox. Its saying Can't open it coz Apple can't verify it. Did you face it by any chance? Thanks.
@@anandsharma0809 Just right click the app in finder and choose "open anyways"
These are always my favorite videos you make
I was wondering, is that a weather app in your menu bar (the sun icon)?
