I honestly think having dual monitors is so worth it in terms of productivity. The keyboard/display combo seems like a cool idea but you might as well get another display for that price.
Yep, but that is part of these guides - something not obvious.
I think at $250, if you don't already have a nice mechanical keyboard and you don't want to add a ton of space to your desk it makes sense. With its normal MSRP and/or if you've already got a good board, I agree.
He's recommending great gadgets that are the type of "niche but great" things. I can tell he put a lot of effort into the selection, especially since there's such a wide range of options. People know a second monitor is an option, he would add no value by saying "get a second monitor". (and he wouldn't because he doesn't like them)
There's someone out there that will benefit from being made aware of that device. No value would be added if he recommended another monitor.
Desk space is the main limiting factor for me, so this is a really great alternative!
It also looks like something that with a screen protector, could make sense for luggage / big backpacks. If you have some extra desk space while out and a 2-in-1, I can see myself using the laptop in tent mode as the side screen with info lookup and the KB screen in center for the word processor. Much nicer KB than any laptop, and less desk space than laptop + portable screen _+ keyboard._
I love the Playdate.
It lets me crank it wherever I am!
Yea!!!...... no wait
But with a PSP you can play nut outside...
Great for on the toilet..
I love playing with toys in the bathroom
literally the worst one. you can buy a surface pro for 50 dollars and its a full computer
Quinn you are a Master. Excellent gift guide. Can not say whether or not I’ll get these as “gifts” but I want 90% of the loot. That flashlight looks great.
If I could only have one thing, it'd be the flashlight. It's so great.
Quin’s quest for clean floors is the stuff legends are made from.
He's so dedicated!
Don’t be fooled, it’s just him parroting for sponsorship money.
@@iVolkswagenYou do not know me and my true affinity for vacuum cleaners. I’ve loved them since I was a kid lol
$1200 is insanity tho
@@snazzy and everyone here should watch John Wilson's show. Great episode on Vancum's in the most recent season.
Great video! There are a lot of ideas here. As someone who has run a gift shop, I can tell you that the best gift a man can receive is either a good wallet or a good massage.
Actually, that makes sense do you have any recommendations for a high quality wallet? I need to replace my BF wallet it's so old and torn..
Vionentus smart wallet PERIOD. about 90% of the wallets that claim to be genuine leather are made of bonded leather, they are the only brand I encountered that offer full grain leather for such a low $
Found them! They also have a slot for AirTag and RFID blocking so cool. Which design do you think is better?
I own their VN100 for few months already, looks like new
A good massage of my wallet, I’m in.
wow, Quinn, a gift guide with actual brilliant gift ideas and top notch comedic writing? Thank you for your work. You are alright in my book for an audiophile
"with out all the sponsored expensive crap" - go to minute 3...
I always get so excited when you publish a new video because you bring a level of care and thoroughness to your content, not to mention wit and humor, that simply cannot be found in many other places (if any). You can always tell that you're genuinely not only interested but passionate and just geeky about the things you talk about and its truly refreshing.
Cheers to all other Germans watching this Channel, as there is apparently quite a few of us ✌️
And great video Quinn, I already planned on gifting two of the items on your list anyways but found a another good idea :)
Lots of Germans! In fact, my 5th largest demographic after USA, UK, Canada and India!
No, wait! Germany is now the 3rd largest!!!
@@snazzy We Germans are quite concise consumers. We like things that are build the right way but we also want to know their weaknesses. It aligns well with your channel culture and I guess that’s why so many watch your channel. It’s one off the most balanced, honest and entertaining tech channel I know of.
Keep up the good work Quinn and let us know if you need more German tool tips. For your Christmas check out the knipex mini wrench, same size but I prefer this type as it can double as full set of wrenches.
@@snazzyHoly crap! I didn't expect that haha (hello from Germany!!)
@@snazzyYou summoned us, by mentioning us. This is the way.
Wow this is a really wonderfully put together list! It’s a rare for me to find a Black Friday deal guide like this where it’s filled with a ton of items I’ve never heard of before and they’re all within a reasonable price range for what they are! Thanks Quinn for putting together such a great list that’s filled with actually interesting items🤓
Thanks for watching!
Really appreciate a product guide that isn’t sponsored and/or the same 10 lame items everyone else does. Thanks and happy thanksgiving!
And a happy thanksgiving to you!
the variety and nicheness of these products is insane... and i'm sold on almost all of them. keep making these videos quinn!
Your gift guide/cool gadget videos are honestly some of the best. All of the other ones are sponsored bs or just crappy tools they though together to make a video and get add revenue. Yours is stuff I actually kinda want to buy 😂 and I have! And I’ve always loved the products! Keep doing what you’re doing!
I can personally testify to the excellence of the Aurora A8. I wish the design was less cylindrical, and I could wish for a different button setup, but it definitely packs a powerful punch light-wise. I have bought 2 of these and can highly recommend.
19:45 ". . .or 28 millimeters, if you're scared of fractions and freedom" LMAO
🦅
Lol
Or 2.8cm lol
Your gift guides are hands down the best and I look forward to them every year. I have added half a dozen of these goodies to my Amazon list already.
I always enjoy your gift guide videos, legitimately well put together list of fun stuff. Bought flipside as a gift and am eyeing the flashlight for myself.
That little "Dankeschön" at the mention of Germans watching made go "aww" out loud lmao! As we say in Germany: GaLiGrü! :)
I am _fascinated_ by the fact that Quinn is so obsessed with vacuum cleaners. Well I don't know if obsessed is the right word, maybe he's more of a vacuum afficionado, a connoisseur even. Not that there's anything wrong with that, many of them have tons of interesting tech. It's just kind of unusual, more quirky than weird. You do you!
I am certainly a weirdo. Extends to upright and canister vacs too. I have 4. And I want more. It’s a problem 😂
check out Vacuum Wars while you’re at it
@@snazzy its why we love you Quinn!!😂🫶
Some of what sucks the most is the best of tech@@snazzy
Wera makes amazing tools, so much engineering in such small packages. Also getting the 711 Ratchet and the Knipex for sure
The Playdate is such a nice console. I'm glad to see the joy is being shared!
Greetings from Germany, had to listen to the WERA Kraftform TURBO several times.
Jokes aside, i really like the list with quite some affordable options
Thanks so much for watching! Appreciate your support! Tschüss Tschüss.
you already know this video is gonna be a banger before watching it
This was genuinely useful! Please make more of these videos!
Glad I watched this. That ravyvon torch looks amazing and Its small enough to put in the toolkit under my motorbike seat. Great if I ever need roadside repairs!
This list is so dope.
Especially the torches and tools
Thank you for these great videos! Always so informative and staight to the point! Much love!❤
Can confirm, the RovyVon A8 is phenomenal. Have multiple of their flashlights.
What a fun list, above and beyond the usual USB based / shovel ware accessories.
Bought the game and the flashlight. Pondered a few others but they're already unavailable or pricier than I'd feel like an impulse buy. The Pinecil soldering kit is awesome, but we've got a very nice Hakken one so I figured that's probably fine. The Knipex looks nice as well (love their stuff) may go hunting for that.
Thanks Quinn and team! Happy Holidays!
I always love your tech roundups because you actually show me something I've never seen before AND isn't just china shovelware.
Since the iPhone 15 Pro Max has USB-C, I’ve actually thought about connecting the Kwumsy Keyboard to it. I am mobile all the time as an Uber eats DoorDash GrubHub and Amazon Flex driver and sometimes sometimes it would just be really nice to have both extra screen space, and a keyboard to be able to communicate with customers on the road a lot easier than typing into the phone all day
Although you can also get an iPad 9 on sale now and a keyboard case for almost the same price all considered.
As a regular amazon driver idk how you do it with your own vehicle then again were I'm located at every town is super spaced out
It would be cool to watch these in a row from a certain year and see the changes in tech over time
This was one of the best tech gift lists Ive ever seen, I was genuinely interested in almost every item
Forget ads, I hate how much this video series makes me want to buy everything in it. Love your work Quinn, keep it up 😉.
Wow, this is the first video I've ever watched that back-to-back recommends me products that Im interested in getting or at least think are cool. Great job dude!
Just used your link to buy the RovyVon 4th Aurora A8 flashlight. Looking forward to using it in the future!
The Playdate screen is the same as the old B&W Macs from back in the day.
I wish I actually had uses for these things. 🤪 They are so cool!
just ordered the Pinecil! its exactly hat I was serching for for a long time :)) thank you !
It's great, you're gonna love it.
Fun fact: Both the Wera screwdriver and the Knipex pliers are from my hometown Wuppertal, which is basically the capital of tool making in Germany. Greetings from a German viewer!
So cool! Thanks for watching, freund.
One of the one unique and useful lists I've seen out there. Nice work Quinn.
I have the smaller version of the Unicorn pepper grinder (I think it's big enough) and it is truly a huge addition if you're a home cook. Cannot recommend enough.
It's not the size that counts it's how you use it!
This video is the standard for what every gift guide on UA-cam should be
Honestly amazing video absolutely very useful, love the work you and your team do.
Definitely getting the flashlight for my dad. He works in dark spaces often and outside, all those settings will do wonders for him
What fantastic recommendations for Christmas! Thank you so much!
Thank you for hosting this amazing segment of As Seen On TV!
The graject is really an amazing kitchen gadget. I've tried a lot of garlic presses, this is the best by far.
Would love to see your take on an EDC video or a “What’s in my travel bag” video.
You’ve always had some of the most unique recommendations.
Man this is such an awesome list of things I never knew existed in the niche ways that they do. I’ve ordered the Pinecil after procrastinating on fixing some stuff for a year or two, and I’m actually exited to work on those projects after it arrives. Thanks Quinn :)
I can vouch for the pinecil! It’s great! ❤
You might not be allowed to enter Germany again after using the ungodly unit "Pound-Feet" to describe a German screw driver 😉
Hahaha touche
One of the best tech recommendation videos I´ve ever seen! Thank you, keep it up! ✌
Thanks, will do!
It's actually insane how on point this video is, I literally want to buy most of these!
Thanks for watching! 🎉
What, that screwdriver that spins 4 times for every rotation sounds friggen awesome. Neat tech all around; thanks for sharing!
Yes, super list. That keyboard+display (the adjustable angle is a must), the pen oscilloscope and smaller multimeter are my favourite. Just need another gig job to pay for all this cool gadgets
Glad to see you enjoyed my recommendation! Definitely is a super useful "chungus" of a charger, and I think you convinced me I need to pick up another!
It's so good!
That Dyad wet/dry vacuum sounds absolutely amazing. I am truly an adult. I've never gotten so excited about a cleaning device. lol
Cleaning tech is so much fun lol
Even when i know almost all of these stuff i wouldn’t be able to buy in my country, i’m still love watching these videos to see neat tech that are underated
"if your scared of fractions and freedom" 😂😂😂😂
First time seeing your video, really enjoyed the products, editing and sarcasm. Subbed!
What I always like about your cool tech vids is that they are unique and not always tech.
I have a pinecil soldering iron and I can confirm that it is amazing, I would actually take it over literally any other soldering iron and its $26!! Its insane how fast it heats and the auto cooldown is super nice because I always forget to turn stuff off
You're the next Billy Mays
This is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me.
Love the idea of the keyboard being a dock. More mech keyboards should have that option.
Finally a video that recommends some techs that I’ll actually buy. Thanks!
Always absolutely loved the Snazzy Xmas shopping list video :D Great !!
compared to other UA-camrs doing the same black friday/christmas products video, yours actually has cool and interesting products! thanks!
Yo you did that LTT Stubby Screwdriver DIRTY at 13:47 xD If anyone has a suggestion for a good adjustable desktop power supply like the one at 17:10 on the top left? As a Canadian, I LOLed hard at 19:50 .... "if you're scared of fractions AND FREEDOM". Metric FTW! Except for human weight and height, also the 1 mile per minute rule of thumb is kinda neat, also for oven temperatures... It's hard to be Canadian.
This was an absolute pleasure to watch. Subscribed. Happy holidays to all. Love from Saudi Arabia. PS I bought the playdate and I hate myself because the price is outrageous but hey YOLO.
i absolutely love these types of videos
The tiny pliers are a good idea but they just aren't tiny enough nor thin enough. Also need to have needle nose, 45, 90, 135, and 180 degree angle versions of them. I'm thinking of tiny tools for technology repair kits (e.g. iFixIt) where torque is NOT a critical component but you might also want to grip flat to the surface (hence the 135 and 180 options). Currently, tweezers are about the only tool available in tech repair kits and those are useless for gripping. Being able to firmly grip tiny bits to hold onto them but not necessarily apply a bunch of torque is a major missing component of tech repair kits. Tiny tech bits require tiny, thin tools.
This was a really groovy list, and I put several of these on my wishlist, thanks!
Always love the content, happy holidays to you and your family!
Yeah, Knipex and Wera are both based in my home city Wuppertal. Wuppertal is actually - with Remscheid and Solingen as it's neighbours - a very important industry triangle. Many important automotive parts come from here too. Like the Veyron Engine for example. Bilstein(dampers like in the Dodge Ram TRX) ist actually also based right next to us in Ennepetal.
I have a S8 Pro Ultra and I love it, on a house with 2 cat's is great to keep everything neat and is a HUGE plus the smell of clean floors. Basic maintenance is easy, the app works really well. Can't complain. I've justified the price by thinking of how much it would cost to hire someone to do the job of cleaning the floors and it already paid it self.
It really does pay for itself sooner than most think it will. Thanks for watching :)
I have had my Time Capsule collecting dust for years and have a Silicon M1 Mac Mini and other desktop Macs as well including my 2006 Mac Mini which I am playing Diablo 2 on.
Thank you for showing how you can bring an old device back to life.
I will buy the 2tb ssd and the flashlight when I have the money.
Then I have to FIND the Time Capsule somewhere in my bedroom and I can use it to make the continually nagging backup requests that Apple is obsessed with.
Have a great Thanksgiving and I love your videos and your beard is fine.
I am 71 and have grown a beard but I break out in acne so I cannot have one for long.
Thanks so much for your comment, George! Time to break out the time capsule indeed! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. :D
Glad to see two products from the neighbourhood i grew up in, Wuppertal-Cronenberg. The Knipex and Wera products.
I’ve had a whole WERA driver set for years, and I can’t speak highly enough on them. Best I’ve ever used!
wow i actually bought several of the iteams you showed
great video!
The flashlight is something I didn't realize I needed. Thanks Quinn! Just purchased it and I hope it helps.
Thanks!! It’s awesome-you’ll love it.
I love last years and I love this video. It made buy some of them last year and now I have a new set of things to buy :)
Cheers!
Great use for an old Time Capsule. Thanks for the tip! Making it wireless will actually get my wife's MacBook connected to Time Machine. Be careful though. I'm new to Apple and didn't realize and AirPort and Time Capsule were different things. I bought an Airport Extreme, but it is a version that Apple doesn't support using a shared USB drive as a Time Machine drive on. So, now I have an outdated router and no Time Machine backup. :( I'm wondering if getting an old Mac Mini and dropping a new SSD drive into it would be a better option. Support on these AirPort and Time Capsules seems like it could go away any moment since they stopped making them about 5 years ago.
being new here, based on the recommendations I have a feeling that you either cook or do diy projects in your garage
Such a cool list of cool stuff. I have your older similar video saved up and once I have enough disposable income, I plan to purchase at least a few of them. Please keep making these videos. ❤
Awesome! Thank you!
"or 28mm if you're scared of fractions and freedom" had me cracking up! As someone from the Netherlands (thats in Europe) i solute you!
I bought one of the 65W Slim Nomad chargers because of this video, it's great!
Theres's some cool stuff here. I may pick up that itty bitty flashlight. I've been eyeing the playdate for a while but...Well, no stock, and too expensive for what it is.
Concerning pepper and salt mills, I like the classic, wooden ones from Peugeot (yes, the car company. It's a big industrial family in France. They started in the XIXth century making saw blades!)
omg i love these stuff please do more things
Is it Christmas already? Oh boy. Better get going, Thank you for these wonderful tips
Am German. You're welcome. And regarding pepper mills I absolutely adore my cheap hand cranked coffee grinder. I grind a ton of spices for Indian food, bbq rubs and whatever else and it is a beautiful black anodized beast. The handle makes it extra easy to crank too. No more cramps trying to grip that slippery wooden mill that costs double the price and mills a fifth in the same time.
Geez, that was a lot of emotional outbreak for a spice grinder. I need to lay down for a while.
I've been watching your videos on and off for so long that it feels like you're seasoned, old hand TV presenter.
Picked up the screw driver and pliers. Can't wait...Great video as usual. Much Love
❤️
THOSE LITTLE PLIERS HAVE ME HOOKED, haha thanks for another awesome and engaging video. you definatly had some unique and fun gift ideas. LOVE IT
10:49 thanks for this! Just treated my long forgotten Time Capsule to an SSD ssd upgrade. Time Machine up and running again.
Works great! (Though the vertical version is trickier to update)
Excellent list and thanks for this!
Pinecil is great. I have TS100 (the more expensive version of the iron the Pinecil is based on) and it's the best portable iron I've used.
I got a Pinecil for its compact size and fast heating, and hadn't realized you could actually update its firmware from a GitHub repo. So the first thing I did with my new soldering iron was to fetch the flashing tool with a git checkout… 🤯
Happy thanksgiving my man... you always post great gadgets that i never even knew existed
And to you!! Thanks :)
I also got one of the K3 keyboards, there is a button on the left side of the hinge you depress to unlock the screen from its locked position.
The airport recommendation was 10/10, never thought about it, thank you!
I really like when you do videos like this. Neat not-super popular gadgets are so fun
when a curated list is done well, you buy. great video!
