This is why I subscribed. As a Bengals fan I cheered for the Jets because of Rich and the other Jets fans. I identify with "This is why we can't have nice things" when Pacman Jones and Vontez Burfict vomited up the best chance at success we had in a decade. I can understand his frustration and will cheer along with all the Jets fans as they get better because I think they will.
Y'all got the number 1pick in a year with a generational talent at qb. I go to Clemson and could've told anybody that burrow is a thousand times better than Trevor. Dude is Brady 2.0. I can't remember the last qb that looked as good as burrow when he played.

Once Mike White went down, you could tell the team was demoralized for awhile.
Near the end of the 3rd and most of the 4th, I saw Josh Johnson with an urgency that no one else had. He was trying to pump the team up in the huddle. He tried to get them to the line quickly after a gain, and when that last play was tipped and intercepted he was distraught. Josh really believed they could pull that out. He tried willing that team towards a win. I liked seeing that.
Josh Johnson would throw a pass in the middle of the field to a double covered griffin/WR instead of doing a chuck down to a wide open michael Carter 7-10yards out. Michael Carter was open so many times I lost count. Not just barely open, open by 10+ yards. At one point he stared at michael Carter wide open for about 3 seconds and took a sack instead of throwing it to him. He's garbage. There's a reason he's been in the league 7 years and you've never heard of him.
The cut to TJ holding the "How 'bout them Cowboys" sign, had me spitting my coffee in laughter lol.

To show you your problem was not the quarterback position we created an opportunity for the backup's backup to shine, and he did too! Didst the football gods give up a 78 yard touchdown run to Jonathan Taylor? Didst the football gods allow four straight touchdown drives in the first half to Indy? The offense scored 30 points, that should be enough to win. Nay, when thy defense gives up 45 points the loss is squarely thine own. The football gods are without blame.

I just had a meeting with the football gods Rich, apparently, the issue is your team's owner. They say as long as he owns the team, they're not gonna let them win. Furthermore, they're gonna hex any player who angers the football gods by playing winning football.

It's obvious that Zach Wilson is not a starting quarterback in the NFL. Its also obvious that Salah is not the defensive wizard the media made him out to be. The defense have regressed badly under his tutelage. The numbers prove both points.

Honestly, as rough as last night was, I felt there were still some positive takeaways from the game. They still have quite some ways to go, but at least we're seeing the pieces come together. Every game last season it felt like they were getting worse, this year, not so much.

Your most well thought out reasonable rant Rich... Good that you see it. My view is the football Gods have already blessed the Jets with this staff and players that are slowly trickling in. Saleh said it best. Some days these young players will look like contenders and some days they'll look like a high school team. A winning streak may be hard to come by but it's brewing.

I think the offensive coaching while Zach was playing was not there. I think Lafleur finally found his footing and that is what we are seeing now with the offense performing better.

Saleh is intelligent, articulate, high-energy, and likable. He was unsuccessful as a DC over 4 years at SF especially in the areas of player development and scheme adjustments. The 49ers were better with him as DC than the current debacle, but head coach? Not yet
It’s rough now but I definitely see potential in the Jets moving forward. They need to build around Wilson and get him a decent line with some weapons.
Do you know how many Quarterbacks have been in this same position with the jets only to have the team fail to provide him with the weapons or protection of any kind? There is a list of walking wounded who's carriers ended early because of jets GM's and their draft day insanity.
