  • Feinting with the Lead Hook can really throw your opponent off and help you land a big shot. Key points to remember:
    1. Like any other feint, sell the technique that you want to feint with, in this case, the Lead Hook!
    2. Throw lead hooks enough to get your opponent thinking about them.
    3. As they are defending against the lead hook, use this opportunity to blast your opponent with a strong jab or fast right hand!
    4. Change up your speed and rhythm for better results.
    5. Do not forget to add kicks to mix it up!

Realistically, your opponent can counter ANYTHING that you throw at them. This is just a different type of feint to add to your arsenal. Even if this was just a normal feint with the jab, your opponent can still counter you. It is all just a matter of timing and setting things up.

You can feint with anything. However in this particular video the lead hook works well because when you punch to the side it is simulating an actual hook and your able to strike again right away with some pretty good power and speed.

    How about range?
Better if launching low/high kick, knee or elbow strike because of the close(r) range?
