Muay Thai - How to Throw a Overhand Right

Overhands may not be the prettiest punch in the world, but man do they pack some power! Key points to remember:
1. Do not step straight toward your opponent. You will step on a 45 degree angle, similar to throwing a leg kick.
2. Your back foot WILL NOT come off the ground at all! Do not throw your weight forward!
3. Your rear foot will slide forward and you will come up on the ball of your foot as your punch is extended.
3. When you throw your punch, your elbow should come above your wrist.
4. Your knuckles will come downward at an angle into your target.

My favorite punch. Can be setup so many ways..and works great against taller fighters. Jab/overhand right/left kick or left knee to liver head/neck. Plus if your even closer make it an elbow!!!
