Yes, this is what they do to people. Not wanting to give all credits to Floor (because she indeed is a stage general, the very best singer in the world and attracts a lot of attention by her nature). All members of Nightwish are on a lonely epic level. Together they rule. And the strange thing is: even after listening 2000 times to this song my tears run down my cheeks. I've been a fan of Nightwish since Tarja was their singer. Ghost Love Score I feel is their most masterful creation. Vocally it's a masterpiece by itself not to mention every member who contributes to it with their instruments making it what it is. That part at the end, you know which one. When I heard that for the first time in this live version I got chills and teared up. Her voice is powerful and it commands AND demands respect. It pulls from you. Tarja and Annete were incredible in their own ways with Nightwish but I feel Floor is by far the best match for this band.
It's probably just because I grew up with Tarja initially, I still prefer her studio versions of tracks. from what I vaguely remember, she just wasn't a good fit for the band though, and didn't enjoy tour life much. I think you're right Floor is the best fit for the band for sure, and definitely their best live singer.
I love the comment and the replies. It is not a good talent vs bad talent thing as some NW "fans" insist on framing it. Annette and Tarja are extremely talented singers/artists and are big parts of who Nightwish is, but the way the Tuomas's music fits Floor's skill set is magical...as witnessed by all the reactions,
MASTERFULLY edited together...especially the use of King KTF's repeating of "The Note" in order to get all the reactors in for that section! His "Heaven felt that shit!" was so ON POINT! Well Done!!!!
Floor’s voice is one of the very few in metal that brings me to tears from joy when she sings absolutely one of the best voices in metal history. Nightwish has their fair share of incredible vocalist but floor is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I love her voice and she’s such a wonderful person too. I love that she reacts to her own performances
Its absolutely freakin fantastic. Im fomer guitar teacher, musician for 35 years, listening to every genre, its fantastic. Unreal voice and stage presence absolely incredible. unreal.
I probably watched all these reaction videos over the years. These videos never get old. I love watching people's reaction to Nightwish and Floor. The world is a better place with Floor singing in it.
I keep coming back to this video like everyday! The great thing about reaction videos (real ones) is that they make you enjoy the song like it's the first time you hear it! Not only that, most of these guys are saying what you've been telling yourself ever since you first heard that song. Thank you for this video and everyone in it ❤
Editing Floor into this is pure genius. Yes, a lot of the "Big" reactors are not included, but this video is absolutly very well made and i think so far the best GLS reaction summary i seen till now. And again ... editing Floor into this is genius!
Having been a nightwish fan since the early 2000s, sometimes it's hard to tell whether your own awe over the band is totally objective. And then something like this happens, when you see your own raw emotion that's beyond words written all over strangers' faces, and it's this, it's a wow. Goosebumps every single time. To quite someone here heaven feels that shit, and he likes it.
This. I can ALMOST listen to the song without tearing up...but watching everyone ELSE react to it...amplified how it makes me feel, and the tears are still coming 5 minutes after the end, reading the comments.
I was a hard-core Nightwish fan when that album came out in 2004, and back then there was another vocalist, the band even more opera meets metal than now - believe it or not. I know this song in and out, every note and beat. To this day I am Floored by Floor Jansen's version and talent. I have lost count of all the reactions I've watched (and all the times I've listened to the CD and this new version), and I still get goosebumps and tears in my eyes. Especially seeing people hearing the magic of Tuomas Holopainen, the writer and composer of Nightwish, and Floor and the band just being in perfect sync and being awesome
I still think this was the greatest live performance I have ever seen in person or on video. That includes Rush, Satriani, Dream Theater, Steve Vai, and other elite musicians.
Dude! The time and care taken to weave all these reactors AND FLOOR into this masterpiece is brilliant! The song itself is genius! The reactors, the music, the performance and the band are all next level shit! I've probably watched at least half these reactors because I love the song and so richly enjoy seeing others fall in love with the song and the band. My favorite, because it was the first time I heard Nightwish, is Sistah and Wolfkain! The pure emotion the two share is EXACTLY how I felt when I heard it for the first time. AND I WAS 60 WHEN I FIRST HEARD Nightwish!! I'd been around the block, for sure, but this was Different. And the most impactful component of the reaction was that Wolfkain grew up w Nightwish and had stopped following them when the first singer left the band. He had an emotional attachment and that had been broken by the change of singers. He thought he knew Nightwish. He had never heard Floor. Watching him break, was so powerful! Watching Sistah completely lose her shit was equally powerful! And I felt it, ALL!
Kudos to the editor! What a compilation,, so in synch, and really picking up the best momento of what all these people experienced for the first time. I've listened to this song hundreds of times, and watched lots of these reactions, but this video was something else. 👏👏👏
Derek, I have to thank you, I haven't had the voice of a singer get me in the gut like hers did in a very long time, and thank you for introducing me to Nightwish, I will be adding them to the rotation...
Just for your information, Floor Jansen is their third lead singer: first was Tarja Turunen (full operatic voice, dark timbre), then Anette Olzon (pop/rock voice, light timbre), then comes Floor (from growls to angelic, her voice is just something else). If you are interested just about her, check her YT channel where she made covers of other artists during the pandemic plus some solo project songs, or check also the Dutch program Beste Zangers (on UA-cam too) where she displays a bunch of awesome interpretations of different songs and genres. If you like Nightwish too, they have a HUGE catalogue of songs, but keep in mind that Floor sings in the later two albums (a third incoming, maybe?) so you'll probably find lot of material with the previous singers (def WORTH listening both of them, except some live performances from Anette: she is and was a good singer but... coming inbetween Tarja and Floor, you might know the saying: stuck between a Rock and a hard place!😅). Anyways, welcome to the Nightwish rabbit hole! It may be dark, but it's full of wonders!💥🤘😆🤘💥 Greetings from Italy! 👋🇮🇹🖖
I'm sooo glad that most of them complimented and acknowledged the band too, not just the singer. And to point out the obvious- Floor Jensen is a powerhouse, a real life f-kin' Valkyrie, and the guys behind her are a bunch of straight up killers, each one of them!
The moment I've been waiting for ever since I discovered your channel, Floor is the best definition of an Angel's Voice on stage on this one, on this entire show really, her version of Ever Dream is also amazing.
These compilation reaction videos are, without a doubt, amazing content. First heard this song 18 years ago. Thank you for showing that even today it's breaking down misconceptions on metal and letting everyone know the amazing music this genre has to offer.

Right I joined just after once and got most of they discog but loved all the singers
Total agreement. Derek made more art from Nightwish's art. Beautifully done.
Amazing work. One of the most cathartic videos on UA-cam.
Best live performance I have ever heard! Floor Jansen is amazing!
The best reaction video yet. Night wish army is here.
Its absolutely freakin fantastic. Im fomer guitar teacher, musician for 35 years, listening to every genre, its fantastic. Unreal voice and stage presence absolely incredible. unreal.
I love how everyones reaction to Floors voice is all smiles and love. She really is something special.
If you haven't seen Nightwish live you are missing out they are amazing
Nightwish is one of the most beautiful things that humanity has created.
Pop music is like " we have a army." (Beyonce, Taylor, Ariana, exc) Metal fans: "We have a hulk." (Floor)
Very true!!!
Floor is not from this world. She is a gift from the gods.
"An absurd amount of talent" - such a beautiful understatement :)
Opera and Rock what a combination!
This is not a rock concert or opera! This is an almost transcendental symphonic experience!
Thank you for this video and everyone in it ❤
FLOOR'S Voice could almost raise the dead! She's incredible--my new favorite female singer.
Your editing is perfection, as usual.
Absolutely the best video I’ve ever seen. Major props!!!!
That was magnificent! The best compilation by far. Bravo, take a bow 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 thank you 😃🤘🏻
What a fantastic collage of reactions... really well done!
I've seen this performance hundreds of times and it still drops my jaw. It's unbelievable just absolutely ridiculous
Repeating the ending was briliant, man !!
The Voice Love Co, man she is gorgeous! BTW, this is epic editing!
Perfect editing job here
I still think this was the greatest live performance I have ever seen in person or on video. That includes Rush, Satriani, Dream Theater, Steve Vai, and other elite musicians.
That was awesome! The rewind moment was genius!
this is why i was so happy to experience this performance live at Wacken... this is the greatest performance ever recorded...
It may be dark, but it's full of wonders!💥🤘😆🤘💥
Greetings from Italy!
What beautiful music Nightwish makes! So powerful and enjoyble. Metal symphony is epic.
Amazing comp. Absolutely 10/10. The fact that you added in Floor in there is crazy. Best reaction video ever. Game over.
One of the things I like about Nightwish are the smiles they bring to viewers and listeners. They lift you up every time. Amazing band
Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! Excellent video !!
These compilation reaction videos are, without a doubt, amazing content.
First heard this song 18 years ago. Thank you for showing that even today it's breaking down misconceptions on metal and letting everyone know the amazing music this genre has to offer.
A lot of work went into this and I appreciate it, thank you
Adding Floor to this was perfect. Well done!
10/10 compilation! That editing was phenomenal!
This was beyond awesome, absolutely love how you made Floor look like she was spying on them. Too cute!!!! ❤️🤘🔥
The GODDESS was looking down on her subjects from above.
