I’m using this and getting some of the best tone i ever had direct. The trick is you have to use the gain very carefully a little bit at a time. Also you need to set it live or you wont think it sounds good. Took me a while to figure this but this is one valuable pedal, worth way more than the price suggest

Have you considered swapping out the preamp tube to a lower gain? This amp sounds amazing with a 12ay7 tube and the Weber speaker.

This amp already has 12AY7 tube and Weber ceramic speaker. I'm just wonder how could be sounds with Weber alnico?

@@rychubil I really like the Alnico. I’ll see if I can find a video comparison

Tim shows the Alnico here. It really opens up the bottom end response without being muddy. I run that setup with the Joyo, I think YT compression is why it sounds like it’s more distorted than it is. I love this combo.

@@norfolknwhey4787 Yes, difference here is huge. I'm wonder how is difference between Weber ceramic vs Weber alnico on harp? I can't find any example.

@@rychubil I have heard the 2 of them side by side, the Ceramic seems to lend itself towards a more modern tone, whereas the Alnico has that sorta belltone warmth and lofi sound reminiscent of the blues classics, if that makes sense. The ceramic has more clean headroom, the Alnico is easier to add nice breakup via hand cupping. I actually like the Ceramic as a guitar speaker, and the Alnico has a harp speaker. That being said, you really can’t go wrong with a Weber. The owner is very responsive, so you should shoot him a message and ask for a comparison or an explanation better than mine lol.
