    Thank you for that Will I’ve been learning from your videos a little over a year I had a fracture on my jaw not visible to the eye but my mouth shape is not the same I’ve been struggling with the air flow broke about 8 harmonicas and always felt like my air direction want right and I held the harmonica like you do. And I could hear a big difference y tone is louder use less air even my double stops are way clearer now I’m just figuring out the mic part and this video answers my question THANK YOU!

    I love the fact you are self-taught. I'm self-taught as well. You and a couple others I have recently started watching instructional videos. That being said, for many years I've always used my green bullet 520D. Two years ago I switched to the Bulletini by Blows Me Away with the Heumann Element. I had to relearn the way I hold the mic being it's so small. I absolutely love it now. I don't think I could go back. Although their custom wood mics are so beautiful I might get one someday. They are a lot lighter than they look. I was hanging out with West Side Andy and I got to check his mic out. cheers. Thanks

    I'm just starting out with amplified harmonica.. I bought a Fender Blues IV tweed amp.. 15 watts with valves..but it's too loud!! If I turn it up to overdrive the valves it'll blast your eardrums out!
    I bought a Shure Green bullet that does have a volume on it.. do you you recommend cranking the volume on the amp and turning down the volume on the mic?
    Also when jamming with a band with this setup, I notice that the harps go way out of tune and much more noticeable than when jamming acoustically and running the harps through a solid state PA... Why is that?

    I'm not a fan of a harmonica's plain sound, it's too piercing in a bad way. But this old blues sound through an amplifier to warm it up is exactly what I like to hear!

    Hi will great video ta! I see your mic has an xlr connection but the chump has a standard Jack input how are you connecting the two on this video please Will? Is it a cable with different connections on each end or are you going through a di box or something else please. Regards. Vin

    Nice Vid Will thanks, have you got any other pedals or anything ie reverb or delay that you are using there.Ive been trying to use a bullet mic but cant really turn up the amp at home cos its tooo loud cheers Ian

      @giuliocosani2841 9 років тому

      Yeah ! A very common problem. I use a fender champion 600 with the hohner blues blaster at home and even if it's only 5 watt it's very loud!

      Hi Ian, I'm not using any pedals here but live I use a Kinder AntiFeedback+ to eliminate feedback.

      Hey Michael, your comment is 2 years old however I had to stop and let you know that I have the same setup I have the super Lux microphone and one step further I have a cheap chinese-made valve amp 5 Watts and the two of those together make a spectacular Chicago Blues sound. The super looks is a fantastic microphone for harmonica.
