Hope you have the best day, and I'll see you in my next video, where do you think it will be?! 😉
Hi Josie I wish I had the chance to meet you two...to thank you for such wonderful content I'm sure the entire srilankans are grateful for your lovely comments.... Wish you two all the very best god bless.....
Hi Josie, It was breadfruit what you saw at the street vendor. It's not really consumed as a fruit but rather cooked and consumed and it has a unique texture and a lovely taste to it. We Islanders love it.
@@danusams Did you even watch the whole video? I literally didn’t want comfort and relaxation. That’s literally the opposite of what I was upset about. I ended up on a train with less selfish tourists and loved it. If you can’t watch a video properly, please refrain from embarrassing yourself. If you’re going to copy and paste your rude comment over and over on my channel I’ll copy and paste my answer.
noooo waaayyyyy !!!! Is this the last ?? Why,, i was expecting more. Well, i must say i love your videos about our country and how you presented it. Both you and your lovely hubby are amazing. Hope you enjoed your stay in sri lanka. And so when you guys hoping to come back ?
I traveled from Ella to Kandy 3 weeks ago in the second class. It was really fun and wonderful. It was a one of the best journeys I ever had. My compartment was a very funny place. Many people were singing and dancing & also they were very friendly. They always shared some of their different types of food which they brought from home. Honestly this journey is very very fun.
3 weeks ago we did the train ride from Kandy to Ella and (I thought it was third class but maybe 2nd) but it was a great ride, we found seats and the windows opened, passengers were singing, it was great. Definitely a lot to be said for 2nd or 3rd class but it does depend on the luck of getting seats. I did first class between Galle and Colombo and it was so sealed off, I couldn't experience it like I did in third class years before.
I was last in Sri Lanka 30 years ago. Believe me, there was no air con in 1st class and the trains were not that modern. It was definitely a very different experience from the age of the trains to the number of tourists. I was typically the only American or Westerner everywhere I went other than Colombo. I am glad I travelled there before Western tourism grew so much. But it is a gorgeous country and the people are so friendly.
32:48 That's a really cute piece of chat ❤ PS: This is one of the best endings for a video series. It's truly heartwarming to hear such great and positive things about Sri Lanka and its people from you. And you are always welcome to visit Sri Lanka again and again. Goodbye, guys...
31:29 That’s Bread Fruit in Sinhalese called “Dhel” which is cooked in my ways. Looks like the jackfruit without the obvious spiked skin. Makes very nice curry that the bread fruit chunks melts in your mouth. Actually you can find them fresh here in Australia as well. Usually bought by us Sri Lankans and other islanders in Australia. People in Sri Lanka might struggle coming up with the name but you should give it a good if you are ever served a “Dhel” dish.
If you come again, I wanna make some suggestions, 1. Kitulgala water rafting and adventures 2. Panama(පානම) beach - the area I visited literally have zero tourists so you'll need a local who know about the area but the sea is so beautiful and clean 3. For a beautiful sun set I would recommend Rajanganaya dam - I went there April last year, coincidentally. And it was the day before full moon So I got to see the most beautiful sunset and the moonrise I've seen in my whole life. That was SO mesmerizing that I felt like I was in a pinterest wallpaper there's a lot more but I think this is enough😅 Be safe where ever you go next❤ LOVE FROM SRI LANKA🇱🇰❤
Hi Josie, Ive been watching since your first Thailand videos. I went back and watched some of your old Thai vid's recently and noticed how much your production and editing has improved. No wonder you're closing in on a million subs. Hope you're coming back to Thailand soon
every time you said no to eating/cutting open the coconut on this trip i cried a little bit inside that's the best part there's like fruit/jelly inside
The green fruit is called bread fruit. In srilanka we call it "dhel". We cook it as a curry to have with rice or u can fry it and toss it with srilankan treacle (honey) and have it as a sweet to snack on
Hi Josie The blue train have charger plug in sockets under the seats. The train route from Kandy to Ella is a single track form and that means two trains going opposite direction can only cross each other in stations that are with loop line. The king coconut taste varies.Younger ones are with little bit salty taste and more matured ones are on more sweeter side.Enjoy your Sri Lankan tour and please visit again
Sri Lanka is a beautiful country! Enjoy it, explore, get lost in the adventures! Try doing a cooking culinary experience at one of the famous hotels in Sri Lanka, Cinnamon Lodge Habarana
some tips for your next visit: if you want to get a tuk tuk there are ones that says taxi with like LED lights they have a fixed price and more affordable than the normal ones there are usually charging ports on the train in first class idk abt others though and if you ask the staff on the train they will open the doors for you. if you want good quality coffee i reccomend java lounge or barista but they are hard to find in rural areas (they are a bit pricey compared to other places though but its worth the price) keep change with you all the time cus its more convenient and people will try to scam you if you gave them like Rs.1000 for a Rs.120 thing hope you enjoyed your stay thank you for visiting ☺💗
The way you approach people is really impressive and you enjoy every bit of second in your journey it's wonderful to watch keep up the good work. Stay happy and safe travel in Sri Lanka❤🇱🇰
you did the right thing to book first class. we only booked 2nd class from ella to Haputale onlt 40 min drive. But it was a disaster in 2nd class. fully packed no space to stand either. our kids did not enjoy at all.
Thanks for visiting my most BEAUTIFUL county Sri Lanka with mostly good and warm people anywhere. It's worth the money you spend there for such a wonderful experience. For Ella train trip your main focus should be the breathtaking views and safety which is ticked ✔ ✔. It may be a bit uncomfortable bcs of the winding, adventurous and uneven nature of the track which is no one's fault. Seats may be bit small bcs Sri Lankans are bit smaller in size 😂. Also because it's so much in demand lot of local and foreign passengers rock up for that trip. It's great that you enjoyed everything in Sri Lanka. All the best for your next adventure.😊
