From kerala living in Australia I can say Australian bananas are not very tasty. Kerala and Sri Lankan bananas are absolutely delicious. We are from the same hemisphere so understandably shares very similar food and fruits.
i’ve had these bananas before and i just thought all asian countries had these tiny bananas haha. they’re so good and dense!

You know a lot of politicians are in Sri Lanka thieves that’s why country got problems
we have got worst, corrupted politicians in the world. They are the only reason for poor economy of our paradise island .
We are not poor in comparison to many other countries. We were and still are being robbed in day light by greedy politicians.

We Tamils love Sinhalese people- basically good and kind people. We don't like corrupt politicians of Sinhalese and Tamils. Humanism will unite us. Together we will bring up the nation.
I have many Tamil friends- loveliest people I have met. It is the politicians from both communities who divided us😢

In Sri Lanka, tea means tea + milk. Ask for "plain tea" and you will get a regular tea (with no milk)
sri lanka has 32 types of bananas , my fv is red bananas .so I ve removed coconut trees and planted red banana trees in 1 acre in my garden ,its also profitable than coconuts

Great shots you got there Josie going northward of Sri Lanka . . . and pretty much the same countryside scenery and roadside shacks we got here in the Philippines for stop-overs when you travel northward or southward from Manila . . . hmmm, Michael seemed to enjoy his tuk-tuk driving . . . BTW, I'm touched when you said you really love our TURON - the fried sugared banana inside the spring roll wrapper . . . you should have tasted our TURON with LANKA (jackfruit) which is the real treat!! . . . so enjoy the rest of your Sri Lankan adventure and take care you two!!

Seeing these AMAZING AND POSITIVE videos about Sri Lanka makes me miss SRI LANKA so much. I am definitely going to visit and meet up with all my family and friends from Sri Lanka. The whole Tuk- Tuk experience is just amazing, the bumpy roads and the wind on your face. Sri Lanka is amazing! Another tip- use a translator to make it easier to communicate and you will learn new Sinhalese words while doing this.
Thanks for being here and promoting stunning scenery in the paradise island. That tuk-tuk guy in Ella is an opportunist, good that you were smart to dump him, 2k is a ripoff. Otherwise most people are very reasonable, do not try to just grab money like that. Hope you 2 will have a wonderful time in that homely and BEAUTIFUL country. ❤ 😊

There are so many Nomads/remote workers and freelancers now staying in Sri Lanka and more are planning to settle down here.
They have sent all the people to India as refugees .

Nice trip! It is an amazing country. We took thiws trip in the opposite direction from Kandy to Ella. By train it is very nice You will go up the mountains till you reach Kandy!

But you gotta accept, In terms of work wages, Australia is much better as you gets more wages than us for the same amount of work in Australia.
