@@trailrunning7773 thanks. Yes it is. I can’t leave it to part with my Race. In a perfect world, they could come up with the battery of the Vertical, the processor and hr of the race s and screen of the race. Suunto, are you listening?😆
You gained a subscriber, amazing work.. just a small question , In canada, you can get a Forerunner 955 with the same price in sales , which one you prefer more, Forerunner 955 or suunto race s ?
@@farulkalra thank you! I have never owned the 955 but if I were choosing, I would take the race s. For that price it’s really hard to beat. Thanks for watching.
Nice video. Unfortunately you confirm my worries about the Gorilla Glass, I don't like scratches on a screen 😅. Do you think a screen protector would be sufficient or will there be a Race S with Sapphire glass?
Thank you. If you are worried about Gorilla Glass, I’d go for a screen protector. TBH, I can’t see them releasing a sapphire model anytime soon, especially at that price. Thanks for watching!
@@christianafrica I had the 965 last year and if it were me, I’d go with this as it’s a lot less expensive. That’s just me. Some are big Garmin fan people.
To me the raceS is much better in: screen, app, build quality, ethic of finland made and the look ! The gadget "functions" of garmin are often half useless half bullshit so beside the price the RaceS is better to me.
My pleasure. I believe I am 182mm. The Race S fits well, but I did send it back for 2 reasons (and not because of anything wrong). 1. I like a larger device for my old eyes :) 2. i don’t trust myself without sapphire so I am still rocking my Race. Hope this helps!
@@fabii85 I honestly don’t think the titanium makes that much of a difference. Yes, it is stronger overall but for the price, I don’t think it’s needed. That’s just my opinion.
@@smnwlsh I saw that on the Suunto website. I’m not sure if they expected the demand to be so good right now or they have a limited supply. It’s priced to go for sure.
Very nice video Dave the Suunto race s it's really good 👍👍

@@Dogwalkerdave i agree, it's a real steal and no wonder they're sold out.
If you don't like the stock strap on the Race S what alternates would you suggest? Thanks for the review.
@@garretths I picked up a $15 one off Amazon for my race and it has worked well. My pleasure and thank you for watching. Appreciate the support!
How do you compare this with garmin fr 965? Torn between the two. I know this is way cheaper than the 965.

Great video Dave ❤
Thank you!
It looks like the bezel is silver/gold and looks different then the birch suunto race or is it the video?
It is stainless with a slight gold look (or tint) to it. I believe the birch Race is straight up stainless.
