I agree with you. I was stationed there at the Air Force base back in 1986 in Tacoma, and would make drives into Seattle then. Now, almost 35 years later, I want to go back to visit. I remember looking back what a good time I had. And, maybe how I should have stayed? I'm 58 now, and I'm considering going back for a long stay to revisit it. It's more expensive now, things have changed a lot since I was there back in the late 8o's; but still I feel as if I missed something? There are more social problems there now ( there is the homeless problem, that I have learned about, and few other issues, I hope those are resolved some day. The Space Needle and Chihuly combined are $49. I think the Space needle is like $30 by itself. I prefer the Space Needle for the views because it feels closer to the water (both the Sound and Lake Union). I think because it's not surrounded by other tall buildings, it feels more panoramic. And all the improvements they made last year are great (well, it felt like slightly narrower walkways on the outside deck).

I think you forgot something very important. If you love museums try going to the museum of flight at Boeing field. They have a Concorde and Air Force One you can walk through as well as hundreds of vintage planes. You can easily spend half a day there.
Also if you’re going on Seafair Weekend, all the planes take off from the runway by the Museum of Flight. Very crowded that weekend with tons of festivities, but amazing to see the Blue Angels and an F-22 or F-35 take off (those things are loud!).

This is a fantastic video for people visiting! The space needle, first Starbucks, and the huge amazing museum of pop culture near the space needle are MUST SEES!
Tup Tim Thai in lower Queen Anne is my favorite when it comes to Thai food. Really cool video, as a Seattle native I still love doing all the tourist stuff.
The view from the top of the Columbia Tower is pretty awesome. You can get a ticket from security on the main floor and ride the elevator up. You are looking right down on the football stadium, train depot, I-5 and Capitol Hill. You are way higher than the Space Needle so have even a better view of all the volcanoes and the Olympic Mts.
This is a very charming city and easy to get to, I hope I can return to visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
You forgot to mention seattles free and friendly tow service. that will tow your car even if there is no sign within 100 yards of it. Happened to me by Captain Blacks, and I can highly recommend. 10/10
None of these places could bring me back to Seattle after living there for almost 6 years! However, this video looks so extremely familiar to me because of the lack of sunshine.
I grew up in a small town two hours outside Seattle and moved to Tacoma an hour outside Seattle after college. I’ve done most of the things on this list and some of my favorite things not listed are walking the three miles around green lake, visiting the Filson flagship store, and getting a scoop of ice cream at salt and straw or Molly moons
I'm from Seattle but I moved to Dallas, I still travel up to Seattle often. It's funny, when I lived here I didn't do much at the touristy stuff, but now that I'm visiting I've been doing more of the touristy stuff. This is a great video, though full of common and uncommon touristy spots! I didn't know UPS started here, I learned a lot of stuff in this video. Also, I'm with you on Top Pot- I LOVE their pink feather boas! They also have locations in Texas, which was a nice surprise for me lol. Great video! (former) Seattleite approved!
I'm surprised you didn't include Green Lake and the Seattle Japanese Garden. Green Lake is an impressive park with a huge lake for boating, long track for bicycling or running, small golf course, soccer fields, tennis courts, softball fields and more.
I have a Neighbor from Green Lake, Washington in Lake Granbury, Tx. He Married his Wife at Snoqualmie Falls. I plan on Marrying my Wife at Snoqualmie Falls too!
I have been all over the United States and just recently went to Seattle and it was the coolest City that I've ever been in. I love cities and I love the outdoors and I found Seattle to be a great combination of both. You can literally take a ferry from Pike's place and be on island like vashon or Bainbridge in 30 min yet you feel like you're world's away. The city is the most futuristic city in America and there are so many cool neighborhoods that have their own unique vibe. The food is incredible also. There's so many different ethnic cultures there and it is fully expressed in the variety of traditional foods that they offer. The only drawbacks are the extremely apparent drug and mental health problems which coincides with the homeless problem in Seattle and the cost of living is the other..
If you should by some chance move to Seattle…your first task, other than investing in a waterproof parka with a hood…would be to note that it is Place, never Pike’s. As a visitor, you are entitled to speak any way you want. But once you are here for good…
You did a great job with this video! I'm getting ready to move back to Seattle from the East Coast in a few weeks & watching this made me so excited to get back! Very comprehensive list of classic Seattle spots!!!
Dude, I just moved to the Seattle area about 6 months ago. My sister, as well as a couple of friends have been here about 4 years, and between hanging out with the three of them, we have managed to hit most of the spots on this list, and I can say they definitely love up to the hype! I did get a good few more ideas from some that we have yet to go to, so I'm looking forward to that! Thanks! I would like to add, as far as food spots, you need to go to The Boars Nest. It's a small BBQ joint in Ballard with scratch-made slaw, and a killer fried bologna sandwich! They have some pretty cool historical type decor on the walls too! Another food spot that is pretty awesome is Biscuit Bitch! A cafe focusing on breakfast and lunch in downtown Seattle, where you can expect a little fun with back and forth banter if you're willing to not be offended! Be prepared to be greeted by an exuberant, "What's up, bitches?" The staff don't mind if you video your experience, but are definitely not shy calling you out, saying something to the effect of, "I see you recording there, you little bitch!" Loads of fun, and the biscuit based dishes are pretty delicious! 😋 As a last addition, two more non-food ideas are to check out the Ballard Locks, where boats and even somewhat larger commercial transport and fishing vessels get raised up from the level of Puget Sound, to be able to motor through the connecting waterways of Lake Union, and eventually accessing Lake Washington. It is truly fascinating to see how they lift the vessels up with those "water elevators" known as locks. The second idea being Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park on the south eastern shore of Lake Washington, located in Renton, WA. While it doesn't have a fancy relic of an old gassification plant, it does have a fantastic waterfront sunset view, a raised observation platform with a roof over it, and a spectacular view of Renton Municipal Airport directly across Lake Washington, only about 1,000 ft. away! You can see jet aircraft taxi, then turn around at the end of the runway abutting the Waters edge, then spool up those massive jet engines to take-off down the runway throwing a large mist of water behind them from all the thrust!
Nice place to visit and clean too. and I really like how it's not like San Fran, and No CASTRO either that's great and not so dirty like San Fran. Thanks for the upload.
Well that's not the case now. It's as bad or worse than SanFransico. So sad what years of Liberal/ Socialist can do to a beautiful city. Almost nightly "Peaceful Rioting". The homeless, drugs, feces, crime, lack of police, businesses leaving. It's very sad.
@@karamathenia9537 Yeah that's how US cities are in general. Crime rates and poverty increase with population density. It's not correlated to political stances.
Thanks for your video. I'm living the sweet life again seeing some of my old haunts as well as some new. I'm no longer living in Seattle, and miss it SOOO much.
You definitely could have added The Great Wheel, MOHAI, Chinatown International District, Georgetown, Museum of Flight, Aquarium, etc. to round out 25 to 30 total, but not a bad list. However, that Fremont Troll is seriously underwhelming!
It is seriously cool if Seattle history interests you at all. When is the last time you built a giant statue the city government despised but had to allow it because the people supported the artists so much? I know I never have....
I also live here! Of all the places we were stationed with United States Air Force, Seattle WA is our favorite place to live besides Japan and Italy. There is a lot of things to see and do! Seattle is very expensive, but there are plenty of FREE entertainments!
Beautiful city completely overshadowed by a HUGE, aggressive homeless population. It’s hard to recommend visiting. Really enjoyed Pike Place and visiting the mountains around the city.
you used to know all of their names and why they were down on their luck. they were really nice people but they have been mostly replaced by aggressive rioting drug users.
It's sad to see it in this state. I'm pretty young, and I remember a time when seattle wasn't like this. My dad grew up there, and remembers the same thing. Truly saddening.
Excellent comment. It is literally like running a gauntlet of dopeheads, crazies, and the people who prey on them. 99% chance you'll have an interaction with them at any of these places.
I would skip the food places and head to St. James Cathedral in order to feed your soul and savour your quiet time to marvel at the architectural beauty ❤️💪
I will be in Seattle this summer. I personally love the space needle. It's one of my favorite things in Seattle and the Pike Place Market as well. Keep up the great work with these quality videos.
I need to do all these things! I love Seattle so much! I have a spiritual connection to Seattle. It's so artistic and magical. My favorite bands and men like Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley are based there also. I'm a water sign and I'd love to be surrounded by water. I need to live here! 🌊🌘🐬🍉
Phuck Bhunny nevertheless Dick's is an icon of Seattle. Many people prefer Dick's and I know a lot of Californians prefer Dick's over in-n-out. It's at least worth a mention
Im glad you like Seattle. Unfortunately, it’s become a toxic business environment of inflation, regulation, homelessness, taxation and crime. Nice place though. You can keep it.
@@mryusuf6086 what. The Seattle government has poured tons of money into the homeless problem. The issue is that most of the homeless population do not want to be saved they just want to keep using drugs or not paying any taxes and living free in a tent. Pouring more money into the homeless problem wont fix anything.
@@mryusuf6086 Why should the government invest in people who don't contribute anything to society, only leach off of it. If I had my way we would gas them.
I still think Magnolia is the best place to live in Seattle. It's close to Ballard, Queen Anne, Fremont and Downtown. Yet it is it's own quiet (no traffic) community with Discovery Park as your own huge playground connected to it. I don't really care for Capitol Hill like many visitors and natives. Also, it is very respectful/customary to Seattle to visit the gravesites of Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee. Many Seattleites will even find it disrespectful that those sites weren't mentioned. Nice video
Just visited Seattle - thanks for this video, it gave me lots of ideas and I visited most of these! One place you didn't mention that I thought was amazing was the museum of flight. They have an exhibition until September 2nd about space travel featuring the actual command module from Apollo 11, plus Buzz Aldrin's gloves/visor! It's pricey though, not sure it would be worth it at full price if that exhibition wasn't there
Excellent list. I just moved out of Seattle to Denver. Most of these places I've been to, and some of them were my favorite haunts. I'd add Add-a-Ball to this list in Fremont, also the Fremont Sunday market as a couple of items for future consideration.
If you're down by Pike Place Market, one can go to the Pike Brewery, but the best brewery in Downtown Seattle is a little north of there and it's called "Cloudburst". Cloudburst was started by the brewer from Elysian, after they sold out to AB&Bev. They don't bottle, it's a true Microbrewery.
I think the I 90 bridge over Lake Washington (the longest floating bridge in the world, is fun to walk or bike across on. I live in Seattle and every morning I look around and feel so lucky to live in a city in this part of the country. I don't think any other city can claim to have 2 natural lakes in it. Anywhere you go there's a beautiful view of something - the Cascade mountains to the east, the Olympic mountains to the west, Mount Rainier to the south and Mt Baker to the north, view of the Puget Sound, Lake Washington, or Lake Union.
We have lots of lakes out here Minneapolis-St Paul but our city feels tiny compared to Seattle. Seattle looks so amazing and I hope to live there and enjoy it too one day.
Awesome Video! I've lived here my whole life, and here are a few things you may have left out Ballard Locks Pier 57 Seattle Underground Pacific Science Center Smith Tower Boeing Factory Museum of Flight
The last decade hasn't been kind to Seattle. Tents and squalor are everywhere. Car windows smashed at almost all parks, stabbings, shootings, assaults, are common now.
Lived in Seattle my whole life, these are great suggestions! (except amazon, its not worth it, and the corporation is evil) Here are some more recommendations: Dick's Burgers U-District including the University of Washington campus, Burke Museum, and the area around it for food and bookstores Friday Afternoon Tea or Miro Tea for casual tea places you can hang out at or work on your computer Seattle/Ballard Coffeeworks, Herkimer, and Storyville for good coffee shops Cupcake Royale (cupcakes, coffee, and ice cream) Sunset Hill Park in Ballard, great view of the Olympics across the water Than Brothers Pho is delicious and comes with a cream puff Speaking of cream puffs, Beard Papa's in the International District has the best Also, the ID in general is great to check out In the summer, the University Street Fair, Seafood Fest, Pride, and Greenwood Car Show are all great yearly outdoor festivals to check out if you're visiting at the right time I could go on, but that the jist.
go to sporting games if you can, the crowd is amazing and it's a vibe with all the UW students. I don't like baseball but witnessed the Mariners hitting a grand slam and there was a kid who kept getting on the jumbotron for dancing and every time he was up there, the stadium got so loud cheering for him that the stadium was visibly shaking. I got goosebumps and it was one of the best experiences in my life.
Currently ending a week stay in Seattle. Been here many times, but this video pointed me toward several places I had never been. Snoqualmie Falls, was well worth the drive. Beecher's and Top Pot were great recommendations. New favorite donut stop for future trips.

Love the fact that you mentioned different places for the outdoorsy or the artisty ones among us! Love it and subscribed
Tup Tim Thai in lower Queen Anne is my favorite when it comes to Thai food. Really cool video, as a Seattle native I still love doing all the tourist stuff.
Before I left Seattle about 12 years ago, I went there a lot. One of the best Thai restaurants in the city. Nice to know it still is going strong.
Good morning😊
You just made me homesick for 2.38 seconds...😂. Love my city...💙💚
Good morning 😘
How are you doing😊
The view from the top of the Columbia Tower is pretty awesome. You can get a ticket from security on the main floor and ride the elevator up. You are looking right down on the football stadium, train depot, I-5 and Capitol Hill. You are way higher than the Space Needle so have even a better view of all the volcanoes and the Olympic Mts.
i loved watching this as a tourist and resident in my own city!! woooooo
Yeah dude. Awesome video, but you gotta add International District
For real, I could spend a whole day and all my money at Uwajimaya 😍
Brooklyn H i’m going to seattle to visit, what is that?
Brooklyn H what is uwajimaua
Also Fremont Redhook brewery and the locks.

None of these places could bring me back to Seattle after living there for almost 6 years! However, this video looks so extremely familiar to me because of the lack of sunshine.
What do you not like about Seattle?
I grew up in a small town two hours outside Seattle and moved to Tacoma an hour outside Seattle after college. I’ve done most of the things on this list and some of my favorite things not listed are walking the three miles around green lake, visiting the Filson flagship store, and getting a scoop of ice cream at salt and straw or Molly moons
Wow, thank you! Can’t wait to see these spots. I’ve been dreaming of living in Seattle!
Trust me you do not want to live in Seattle
I love Seattle and Washington. It’s such a feel good state 🤗
Me to I love it🎉
I'm from Seattle but I moved to Dallas, I still travel up to Seattle often.
Few more places I would add:
1. Columbia Center
2. Morsel
3. Rocky Moutain Chocolate Factory
Overall, great video! Go Huskies!
Cafe Nordo.
The best dinner theater I've ever been to, combining unique shows, gourmet food, drinks, and live music into an incredible experience.
Thank you! 😍 Can't wait to visit those waterfalls.
Are you back here yet? What would you have to say about Seattle now?
If you're coming back get ready for an astronomical cost of living and a LOT of homeless people.
Made me homesick. Been away from Seattle for 20 years now. Good video. Great spots.
It looks a fascinating city.
Dude, you did it. Your list covered the things that are worth seeing and did not disappoint.
I’m going to Seattle first time ever from Hawaii tomorrow mornings so this was very helpful!
As a last addition, two more non-food ideas are to check out the Ballard Locks, where boats and even somewhat larger commercial transport and fishing vessels get raised up from the level of Puget Sound, to be able to motor through the connecting waterways of Lake Union, and eventually accessing Lake Washington.
Where did you live before?
Thank you!
The zoo the Japanese garden always something to do
Nice place to visit and clean too. and I really like how it's not like San Fran, and No CASTRO either that's great and not so dirty like San Fran.

Hi there, I was born and raised here in Seattle. You did a great job on this video. Thank you =)

Excellent video Josh! Well done and detailed. Thank you for the tips!
I agree. I've driven past the troll 100 times and have never even considered stopping for it.
It is seriously cool if Seattle history interests you at all. When is the last time you built a giant statue the city government despised but had to allow it because the people supported the artists so much? I know I never have....
My uncle works at MOF! It's hecking awesome! I agree!
The aquarium is trash tho
If you want a biscuit, you go to Biscuit B**** (sorry I can't actually type the rest out)
I also live here!

Some great sights of the city indeed.
Im surprised driving around looking for a place to park didn't make it to the top of the list.
I need to do all these things! I love Seattle so much! I have a spiritual connection to Seattle. It's so artistic and magical. My favorite bands and men like Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley are based there also. I'm a water sign and I'd love to be surrounded by water. I need to live here! 🌊🌘🐬🍉
Dude...seriously?! Not one mention of Dick's Burgers?!
He also missed the Last XXX root beer in Issaquah (its stuck in the 50’s)
Ikr Dick's drive-in is a Seattle icon
Come to think of it he also missed Ivar's & Ezell's too
Phuck Bhunny nevertheless Dick's is an icon of Seattle. Many people prefer Dick's and I know a lot of Californians prefer Dick's over in-n-out. It's at least worth a mention
ladyjackettekristen and our sports teams. U can't fit all of Seattle in 22 points, we are just so interesting. 😎
This is the best video I've seen so far for recommendations! Great editing, great pics, wonderfully consolidated & to the point! Bravo!!!
Very well presented. I've always wanted to visit Seattle, and your video proves why. Awesome job.
Im glad you like Seattle. Unfortunately, it’s become a toxic business environment of inflation, regulation, homelessness, taxation and crime. Nice place though. You can keep it.
Poor homeless rich goverment doesnt invest in them
@@mryusuf6086 what.
@@dh2392 you're a psychopath, your opinion doesn't count
I still think Magnolia is the best place to live in Seattle. It's close to Ballard, Queen Anne, Fremont and Downtown. Yet it is it's own quiet (no traffic) community with Discovery Park as your own huge playground connected to it. I don't really care for Capitol Hill like many visitors and natives. Also, it is very respectful/customary to Seattle to visit the gravesites of Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee. Many Seattleites will even find it disrespectful that those sites weren't mentioned. Nice video
bruce lee and jimi gravesite should not be on tourist plan.
Woodland Park Zoo and Seattle Aquarium :)
hello; kaid s. here...longtime Seattle Resident...enjoy your videos; thank you

It's pricey though, not sure it would be worth it at full price if that exhibition wasn't there
Being bored is like being active it's a choice you make. Be active it's more exciting!
Good morning😊
How are you doing 😘
Excellent list. I just moved out of Seattle to Denver. Most of these places I've been to, and some of them were my favorite haunts. I'd add Add-a-Ball to this list in Fremont, also the Fremont Sunday market as a couple of items for future consideration.
We will definitely check out most of the places you've mentioned! Thanks for the informational video on Seattle :)

Dude not a brewery on your list !? Seattle got great beer scene and us best coffee shops !
Things to do not places to drink beer or coffee.
@@blainelee8021 he literally mentioned two Starbucks stores, I'm a local and my favorite brewery around Seattle is Big Block Brewing, so good!
Cannot wait to go to check those places out!! I will be going to seattle next week, pretty excited!!
Seattle looks an exciting place to visit.
Living here i just love to see all these places I’ve grown up near in a video.
Awesome Video! I've lived here my whole life, and here are a few things you may have left out
Ballard Locks
Pier 57
Seattle Underground
Pacific Science Center
Smith Tower
Boeing Factory
Museum of Flight
The last decade hasn't been kind to Seattle. Tents and squalor are everywhere. Car windows smashed at almost all parks, stabbings, shootings, assaults, are common now.
Christopher Smith Seattle used to be safe but some things are just becoming normal like shootings!! Although there haven’t been any in a while
Lived in Seattle my whole life, these are great suggestions! (except amazon, its not worth it, and the corporation is evil)
Here are some more recommendations:
Dick's Burgers
U-District including the University of Washington campus, Burke Museum, and the area around it for food and bookstores
Friday Afternoon Tea or Miro Tea for casual tea places you can hang out at or work on your computer
Seattle/Ballard Coffeeworks, Herkimer, and Storyville for good coffee shops
Cupcake Royale (cupcakes, coffee, and ice cream)
Sunset Hill Park in Ballard, great view of the Olympics across the water
Than Brothers Pho is delicious and comes with a cream puff
Speaking of cream puffs, Beard Papa's in the International District has the best
Also, the ID in general is great to check out
In the summer, the University Street Fair, Seafood Fest, Pride, and Greenwood Car Show are all great yearly outdoor festivals to check out if you're visiting at the right time
I could go on, but that the jist.
go to sporting games if you can, the crowd is amazing and it's a vibe with all the UW students.
