It's so funny to see places you go normally in a UA-cam video.
Samantha MakesUp fr
Samantha MakesUp IKR I love it when movies have like Pikes place market or something too in it. I live 30 mins away from Seattle myself
yeah i noticed that too
Where do you buy your meth?
Uh same
Instead of going on the space needle, go to the Columbia Tower. I realize the Space needle is the touristy thing to do, but hear me out. It's nearly twice the height of the space needle and the views are unbelievable! It honestly makes the SN look small. Views of the cascades and Olympic mountain ranges are amazing. Its also cheaper. I think the space needle costs around $60 to go up, but he Columbia Tower was $20 for students and I think $22 for non students.
The Space Needle and Chihuly combined are $49. I think the Space needle is like $30 by itself. I prefer the Space Needle for the views because it feels closer to the water (both the Sound and Lake Union). I think because it's not surrounded by other tall buildings, it feels more panoramic. And all the improvements they made last year are great (well, it felt like slightly narrower walkways on the outside deck).
@@EricaGamet Thanks for the correction on the price. It definitely is closer to lake Union and the sound. When I was at the top of the Columbia Tower, I honestly didn't notice any other buildings because it's so much taller than the rest. Both are great options though!
Tall Random Guy I went to Smith Tower for a 1/3 of the price and great 360 views from the 44th floor.
There's a Starbucks on the 40-something floor with amazing views. Makes the price of $5 coffee worth it.
Not 360 view. I take friends there since it is faster and cheaper.
Guys, be grateful for what you have never take anything for granted, as a regular visitor to Seattle I am overwhelmed every time by how much there is to see and do, I’m from the uk and believe me you have nothing to complain about, don’t slag the place off if you can’t be bothered to go and explore.
I agree with you. I was stationed there at the Air Force base back in 1986 in Tacoma, and would make drives into Seattle then. Now, almost 35 years later, I want to go back to visit. I remember looking back what a good time I had. And, maybe how I should have stayed? I'm 58 now, and I'm considering going back for a long stay to revisit it. It's more expensive now, things have changed a lot since I was there back in the late 8o's; but still I feel as if I missed something? There are more social problems there now ( there is the homeless problem, that I have learned about, and few other issues, I hope those are resolved some day. Because, Seattle is a beautiful city, and deserves solutions. As with so many other cities ) But, you're right, there are cities in the US that could be made into "wonderful cities" with some work, and smart people tackling the problems.
Wym, the uk is way better
@@stansmith5610 How so? Just curious..

Never entertain the word "bored" in your life. There's always something to look forward in our everyday life. That connotes negativity. Be grateful instead, because others still wanted to live but has already a term in life. As advised by a priest in one Homily, go outside, see less fortunate prople struggling but still optimistic and grateful. Likewise, do charitable work, visit orphanages, home for the aged, assist in Soup Kitchens, you'll realized how lucky and privileged you are with healthy, mobile body.
its always nice when you click on a video and it gets straight to the point
Agreed
1. Stay at home.
Alright have fun guys
The only recommendation WA residents will give.

Pretty easy to do that now lol
this comment didnt age well
oof
Great video as always. One thing that I would recommend is to visit the Cherry Blossom trees at University of Washington in March - April.
Sounds awesome, I have never seen those!
Through My Lens what is the song in the video called? Please tell me.
UW in general is really nice to walk around. My freshman class went on a field trip there last year, we got to see the cherry blossom trees and a bunch of other really cool stuff.
easier to just watch the live stream and not be around a bunch of muggles
The quad!!
Ive lived here my life and now I just watch these videos to remember how life looked before COVID. Lol I actually just got laid off from Starbucks since my store in pioneer square will be permanently closed. Now the neighborhoods a ghost town. I’m not tripping about the job but I do hope the many small businesses in the area can bounce back. When the homeless aren’t harassing you, its a cool place 😂❤️❤️
So tell everyone WHY the store is closing. Drugs, crime, protestors, vandalism, on and on...
@@mr.p9882 that's not necessarily why. Any Starbucks in the downtown or greater Seattle area has to deal with the problems you listed just because the homeless issue is so bad and Starbucks is seen as a "safe place". Which breeds a whole lot of BS that most baristas should not have to deal with, but that's another conversation all together. And the protesting has nothing to do with it. Protesters love Starbucks and Starbucks loves everyone who pays. Lol If you know any about that neighborhood you would know that it's was kept alive by the many offices, tourists, clubs, and stadiums. When those things closed it created a domino effect for an already struggling area. Obviously, you are not from here and are misinformed so I will explain things to you. You're welcome.
@@SheDIDthatWJ Don't mind him. He's just another righty troll using the homeless as a political weapon.
Pikes market ...seafood chowder....fantastic...
Man. The excitement crawls in my skin just looking at what this city has to offer. My dream is to live here.
LOL
Trust me I live in Seattle the highways are just pain
The highways are fine. The drivers…oh dear..,
I live here. I'm just bored as hell
Right there with you my dude

@@media696 lol I think I'll try something else
I think everyone should watch a cool video about their city, there is so much to and its so easy to forget how cool it is out there
Here is another video about Seattle. ua-cam.com/video/bpAi70WWBlw/v-deo.html
@@Klaatu2Too it's a damn good special. Idc how you try to paint Seattle in this video, truth is there are druggies and homeless people all over, there's so many they're spilling over into Renton, Tukwilla, Burien, and other surrounding areas in King County.
@@AFellowDoktuh I've lived in south King County since the late 1950s. We're seeing homeless folks down here but nothing like what's in Seattle.
i live in a farming town of 8400 i know what there is to do here. nothing haha
I love living close to a beautiful beach with sugar white sand and great places to eat and party. That well kept secret place is Pensacola Beach, Florida. 😎
Actually the Amazon Spheres are open to the public on the first and third Saturday of each month, but you have to make a reservation. They are very cool, filled with amazing plants, and absolutely worth checking out if you have a chance.
Food spots we loved last time in Seattle: Biscuit Bitch and Serious Pie Downtown (pizza and a dark stout ice cream float = bliss)
On my first trip to Seattle, my friends thought it would be a good idea to walk around Pioneer Square after midnight. Obviously, my time on Earth was not complete because here I am.
😂😂😂
You’re sexy
Pioneer square is the equivalent of east side Detroit
lmao i had to snort when he said pioneer square. Yeah, don't go there alone, even during the day
Is it ghetto?
Check out the tent cities.. fastest growing thing in Seattle...
That and the rents.
LOL
@BKTA YES!! It's disgusting!!
Jajaja I’m so glad I read your comment because it’s so funny and true it made my wife and I laugh so hard............
@BKTA they need to be shot that's what
i love how exciting you make seattle seem. i've lived here my whole life and there's literally nothing to do
Yes... i vacationed in Seattle for a week and its a pretty city but also pretty boring.
Tina Le what??? There’s so much to do you couldn’t cover it all in a lifetime!! Get real!!! 🙄
That goes for any city that you live in. After a few years , you have done it all and seen all of it.

This is a fantastic video for people visiting! The space needle, first Starbucks, and the huge amazing museum of pop culture near the space needle are MUST SEES!
Add Ravenna Park, UW campus, SAM, Benaroya Hall, Museum of Flight, Lake Washington - so much to do !
Susie Taylor museum of flight is in Renton!
True campus in spring with blooming trees!
Elliot Bay Park is very pretty on sunny day you can see Mt Rainier and Sound ❤
I think you forgot something very important.
If you love museums try going to the museum of flight at Boeing field. They have a Concorde and Air Force One you can walk through as well as hundreds of vintage planes. You can easily spend half a day there.
michael tipton
This should be number one to visit
Agreed. MOF is worth a full day in itself.
Also if you’re going on Seafair Weekend, all the planes take off from the runway by the Museum of Flight. Very crowded that weekend with tons of festivities, but amazing to see the Blue Angels and an F-22 or F-35 take off (those things are loud!).
michael tipton I go to aviation I get free access
@@therealsurge5233 I go on Veterans Day to get free access.
Excellent video man. Seattle looks like an Interesting city to go visit for several days. Good job by the way for being detailed oriented. You're one of the few individuals that takes the time to do that, and I appreciate it.
I think that troll under the bridge is just the cutest thing! I can't wait to move to Seattle by the end of the year!
I also recommend Green Lake. It's a nice walk/run/bike/whatever and there are a few places you can grab breakfast/lunch there, too.
I live here and these are definitely the most touristy places you could go. But still fun lol
Same
Where would you recommend instead :)
We will definitely check out most of the places you've mentioned! Thanks for the informational video on Seattle :)
Thank you! 😍 Can't wait to visit those waterfalls.
Should've added the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop, the ferris wheel, and aquarium on the pier! Such fun places!
Yeah dude. Awesome video, but you gotta add International District
For real, I could spend a whole day and all my money at Uwajimaya 😍
Brooklyn H i’m going to seattle to visit, what is that?
Brooklyn H what is uwajimaua
Also Fremont Redhook brewery and the locks.

I love this! Thank you. Denver native but living here for 5yrs... always exploring!
Thank you so much for this very fun discovery of Seattle. I'd love to go there soon.
You did a fantastic job! I've lived here for 41 years and have been to most, not all your recommendations. The only one you should add for sure though is the Ye Olde Curiosity shop at the Seattle Pier 54. It is a MUST! It was featured on the Smithsonian TV show for the mummies that they have. Again you did a really good job, I do applaud you for your hard work on this video. :)
Chriselda Landon .. great 👍🏻 addition to this message board ... I reside in New York .. this place is wayyyyy to over priced ... noisy ... and very expensive with no real amenities... and the public transportation is a waste... I can’t wait can’t wait!!! To leave New York , born and raised .. but it’s time to go !! Love to hear more about the living situation in Seattle .. Take care !! ☺️
That's still there?! I was there in 80s, love it! Glad it is.😁
You just made me homesick for 2.38 seconds...😂. Love my city...💙💚
Love the fact that you mentioned different places for the outdoorsy or the artisty ones among us! Love it and subscribed
Very well presented. I've always wanted to visit Seattle, and your video proves why. Awesome job.
I’ve lived in Seattle all my life and I’m watching this to test myself. Turns out there’s quite a few items on this list I’ve never even heard of! Who knew? Gotta check ‘me out!
This was great! I have lived here 20 months and a couple of these I didn't even know about. Your shots were beautifully done and really showed the essence of the city. Thanks!
I miss Seattle so much! I am from there, and you made me reminisce on the good times.
Excellent video Josh! Well done and detailed. Thank you for the tips!
I love Seattle and Washington. It’s such a feel good state 🤗
Me to I love it🎉
I just gotta say that your channel is one of the BEST travel vlog channels on UA-cam. The first one of yours I saw was “22 things to do in downtown LA” and you did an awesome job capturing the best parts of the city. Keep up the great work brah
Thanks for the tips. I look forward to checking the city out!
This is a very charming city and easy to get to, I hope I can return to visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
I love all these places in Seattle. It’s the best place and has the best of all worlds
You definitely could have added The Great Wheel, MOHAI, Chinatown International District, Georgetown, Museum of Flight, Aquarium, etc. to round out 25 to 30 total, but not a bad list. However, that Fremont Troll is seriously underwhelming!
I agree. I've driven past the troll 100 times and have never even considered stopping for it.
It is seriously cool if Seattle history interests you at all. When is the last time you built a giant statue the city government despised but had to allow it because the people supported the artists so much? I know I never have....
My uncle works at MOF! It's hecking awesome! I agree!
The aquarium is trash tho
If you want a biscuit, you go to Biscuit B**** (sorry I can't actually type the rest out)
Thanks for your video. I'm living the sweet life again seeing some of my old haunts as well as some new. I'm no longer living in Seattle, and miss it SOOO much.
Awesome. Very good recommendation. Thanks
Dude, I just moved to the Seattle area about 6 months ago. My sister, as well as a couple of friends have been here about 4 years, and between hanging out with the three of them, we have managed to hit most of the spots on this list, and I can say they definitely love up to the hype! I did get a good few more ideas from some that we have yet to go to, so I'm looking forward to that! Thanks!
I would like to add, as far as food spots, you need to go to The Boars Nest. It's a small BBQ joint in Ballard with scratch-made slaw, and a killer fried bologna sandwich! They have some pretty cool historical type decor on the walls too!
Another food spot that is pretty awesome is Biscuit Bitch! A cafe focusing on breakfast and lunch in downtown Seattle, where you can expect a little fun with back and forth banter if you're willing to not be offended! Be prepared to be greeted by an exuberant, "What's up, bitches?" The staff don't mind if you video your experience, but are definitely not shy calling you out, saying something to the effect of, "I see you recording there, you little bitch!" Loads of fun, and the biscuit based dishes are pretty delicious! 😋
As a last addition, two more non-food ideas are to check out the Ballard Locks, where boats and even somewhat larger commercial transport and fishing vessels get raised up from the level of Puget Sound, to be able to motor through the connecting waterways of Lake Union, and eventually accessing Lake Washington. It is truly fascinating to see how they lift the vessels up with those "water elevators" known as locks. The second idea being Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park on the south eastern shore of Lake Washington, located in Renton, WA. While it doesn't have a fancy relic of an old gassification plant, it does have a fantastic waterfront sunset view, a raised observation platform with a roof over it, and a spectacular view of Renton Municipal Airport directly across Lake Washington, only about 1,000 ft. away! You can see jet aircraft taxi, then turn around at the end of the runway abutting the Waters edge, then spool up those massive jet engines to take-off down the runway throwing a large mist of water behind them from all the thrust!
Where did you live before?
Thank you!
Beautiful city completely overshadowed by a HUGE, aggressive homeless population. It’s hard to recommend visiting. Really enjoyed Pike Place and visiting the mountains around the city.
you used to know all of their names and why they were down on their luck. they were really nice people but they have been mostly replaced by aggressive rioting drug users.
It's sad to see it in this state. I'm pretty young, and I remember a time when seattle wasn't like this.
My dad grew up there, and remembers the same thing.
Truly saddening.
Excellent comment. It is literally like running a gauntlet of dopeheads, crazies, and the people who prey on them. 99% chance you'll have an interaction with them at any of these places.

The Underground tour was gross! I was sorry to have taken a friend. Lame and creepy. Unless of course you're into old plumbing.
@@MarkHolman it was very creepy- I went there for a school trip and me and my friends were pretty creeped out
The view from the top of the Columbia Tower is pretty awesome. You can get a ticket from security on the main floor and ride the elevator up. You are looking right down on the football stadium, train depot, I-5 and Capitol Hill. You are way higher than the Space Needle so have even a better view of all the volcanoes and the Olympic Mts.
Dude, you did it. Your list covered the things that are worth seeing and did not disappoint.
Awesome video for traveling to Seattle! Thank you!
I'm from Seattle but I moved to Dallas, I still travel up to Seattle often. It's funny, when I lived here I didn't do much at the touristy stuff, but now that I'm visiting I've been doing more of the touristy stuff. This is a great video, though full of common and uncommon touristy spots! I didn't know UPS started here, I learned a lot of stuff in this video. Also, I'm with you on Top Pot- I LOVE their pink feather boas! They also have locations in Texas, which was a nice surprise for me lol. Great video! (former) Seattleite approved!
Dude...seriously?! Not one mention of Dick's Burgers?!
He also missed the Last XXX root beer in Issaquah (its stuck in the 50’s)
Ikr Dick's drive-in is a Seattle icon
Come to think of it he also missed Ivar's & Ezell's too
Phuck Bhunny nevertheless Dick's is an icon of Seattle. Many people prefer Dick's and I know a lot of Californians prefer Dick's over in-n-out. It's at least worth a mention
ladyjackettekristen and our sports teams. U can't fit all of Seattle in 22 points, we are just so interesting. 😎

I lived there when kid .it's most beautiful place I have been. I hope back to visit.
Tup Tim Thai in lower Queen Anne is my favorite when it comes to Thai food. Really cool video, as a Seattle native I still love doing all the tourist stuff.
Before I left Seattle about 12 years ago, I went there a lot. One of the best Thai restaurants in the city. Nice to know it still is going strong.
Im surprised driving around looking for a place to park didn't make it to the top of the list.
This was the best review. Thanks!
Amazing, thanks for the video.
None of these places could bring me back to Seattle after living there for almost 6 years! However, this video looks so extremely familiar to me because of the lack of sunshine.
What do you not like about Seattle?
You forgot to mention seattles free and friendly tow service. that will tow your car even if there is no sign within 100 yards of it.
Happened to me by Captain Blacks, and I can highly recommend. 10/10
Thanks for the recommendations!
great vid! I've missed quite a few spots. thx for posting
I need to do all these things! I love Seattle so much! I have a spiritual connection to Seattle. It's so artistic and magical. My favorite bands and men like Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley are based there also. I'm a water sign and I'd love to be surrounded by water. I need to live here! 🌊🌘🐬🍉
I'm surprised you didn't include Green Lake and the Seattle Japanese Garden. Green Lake is an impressive park with a huge lake for boating, long track for bicycling or running, small golf course, soccer fields, tennis courts, softball fields and more.
I have a Neighbor from Green Lake, Washington in Lake Granbury, Tx. He Married his Wife at Snoqualmie Falls. I plan on Marrying my Wife at Snoqualmie Falls too!
Hey, this was super helpful and a great list. Like I believe you when you tell me these things.
It’s funny to watch this as someone whos lived here whole life and walked these streets countless times
Woodland Park Zoo and Seattle Aquarium :)
Few more places I would add:
1. Columbia Center
2. Morsel
3. Rocky Moutain Chocolate Factory
Overall, great video! Go Huskies!
Thank you for the info on places to visit and also those food recommendations were 10/10!!! That pizza looks so good. Keep up the content my dude!
visiting Seattle soon. Thanks great video, overview.
I still think Magnolia is the best place to live in Seattle. It's close to Ballard, Queen Anne, Fremont and Downtown. Yet it is it's own quiet (no traffic) community with Discovery Park as your own huge playground connected to it. I don't really care for Capitol Hill like many visitors and natives. Also, it is very respectful/customary to Seattle to visit the gravesites of Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee. Many Seattleites will even find it disrespectful that those sites weren't mentioned. Nice video
bruce lee and jimi gravesite should not be on tourist plan.
Spent 8 months there for school.
Leaving that damn city was always the most exciting part

Flying out from Madison wi this Friday. Super excited. Thanks for this video
Wow, thank you! Can’t wait to see these spots. I’ve been dreaming of living in Seattle!

You did a great job with this video! I'm getting ready to move back to Seattle from the East Coast in a few weeks & watching this made me so excited to get back! Very comprehensive list of classic Seattle spots!!!
Are you back here yet? What would you have to say about Seattle now?
If you're coming back get ready for an astronomical cost of living and a LOT of homeless people.
The locks at Ballard are my favorite.
What is tjat
Great content. Thanks !!!!!
Just found this today. Great video as always.
I have been all over the United States and just recently went to Seattle and it was the coolest City that I've ever been in. I love cities and I love the outdoors and I found Seattle to be a great combination of both. You can literally take a ferry from Pike's place and be on island like vashon or Bainbridge in 30 min yet you feel like you're world's away. The city is the most futuristic city in America and there are so many cool neighborhoods that have their own unique vibe. The food is incredible also. There's so many different ethnic cultures there and it is fully expressed in the variety of traditional foods that they offer. The only drawbacks are the extremely apparent drug and mental health problems which coincides with the homeless problem in Seattle and the cost of living is the other..
If you should by some chance move to Seattle…your first task, other than investing in a waterproof parka with a hood…would be to note that it is Place, never Pike’s. As a visitor, you are entitled to speak any way you want. But once you are here for good…
These comments are so negative. I live in the Seattle area and am always looking for things to do. Although I’ve done most of these it was still helpful and wonderfully made. You can tell how much time and work you put into this vid. Thank you!
Marie Fenske these comments are very Seattle like
I think people tend to complain a lot about their home because they take it for granted
Love the video I’m going to sculpture park plus marination station got my taste buds dancing
Thanks man! Great video!
Just visited Seattle - thanks for this video, it gave me lots of ideas and I visited most of these! One place you didn't mention that I thought was amazing was the museum of flight. They have an exhibition until September 2nd about space travel featuring the actual command module from Apollo 11, plus Buzz Aldrin's gloves/visor! It's pricey though, not sure it would be worth it at full price if that exhibition wasn't there
Wings over Washington, The Great Wheel, Seattle Aquarium, Ivar’s, and Westlake Center’s Nordstrom.
Good mentions. A ferry ride to Tillicum village is fun too.
Great video. Well presented and will now hunt for more videos
love Seattle. you are a great tour guide. thank you!
Being bored is like being active it's a choice you make. Be active it's more exciting!
Dude not a brewery on your list !? Seattle got great beer scene and us best coffee shops !
Things to do not places to drink beer or coffee.
@@blainelee8021 he literally mentioned two Starbucks stores, I'm a local and my favorite brewery around Seattle is Big Block Brewing, so good!
If you're down by Pike Place Market, one can go to the Pike Brewery, but the best brewery in Downtown Seattle is a little north of there and it's called "Cloudburst". Cloudburst was started by the brewer from Elysian, after they sold out to AB&Bev. They don't bottle, it's a true Microbrewery.
