Where did you buy your wicker bar stools?
@@jillianmikesell7728 we got them on OfferUp!
Don't fucking recommend going to the space needle. That's the most stupidest basic thing you can do there.
Lol! Your so right 😂

POV: you're from seattle and you're watching just to see if u recognize all the areas, lol
It’s not this amazing 😂
Haha I'm from Seattle and that is what I am doing 😅
Yupppp
I live in Lynden Washington but I’ve been there many times to same
Yess 😂😂
I'm a local Seattlite and I agree with almost everything Kelly's recommended in this video. There are a lot more small holes in the wall with incredible food but from a tourist perspective she hit the right notes.
Just moved here! What would you recommend for the small hole in the walls?
I got to know these holes in the wall places
@@luck3971 Anything in China Town / Little Saigon if you want authentic Viet food, go to Columbia City. Paseo's in Freemont. Oasis Boba. Loads of food trucks. List is endless. The best food in Seattle isn't found in bougie locations.
@@stnicgglemploy2794 Been going to China Town a lot. Will derinatly try out Columbia City. Any good spots off the Sound Transit startion?
Ethiopian food.
I live here but I still love watching travel vids like these that remind me how beautiful seattle is
Same
I’ve been living in WA for the past 3 years and I still get exited when I see Mt. Rainier 🥰❤️
Born and raised here and I’m the same way! 😂 it’s so gorgeous!
I was born and raised here as well and I feel the same way. I freak out every time I see it. It’s so beautiful it never gets old!
I was also born and raised here and the view never gets old
Same, but been here for 6 yrs
Same and same!
I’ve moved here 4 months ago and I get mesmerized every time I see Mt Rainier on my way to work when it’s sunny. It just brings a smile to my day seeing so much nature around. I have visited local beaches like Juanita beach, Shoreline, Madrona beach. Volunteer park is just an amazing place to watch the city at sunset. This place is amazing! Walking the city and it’s diversity is at another level.
Got a love no state taxes on the federal.
I do want to note that if you do take the lyft/uber and heading to Seattle from seatac, I highly recommend you to take the light rail. It's $2.50 for a one way trip. Using the lyft/uber will cost about $20+ just to Seattle. Unless you have a lot of things, then you might as well take the lyft/uber
It's closer to $40-45 these days for Uber... since the rates went up in January. The light rail is $3 from the Airport to downtown... still a bargain at any price!
Lyft right now is like 70 up
@@EricaGamet can you access the airport stop if you’re not actually in the airport? Sorry confusing question
@@Melissababy155 Yep! You can enter from the street side at 176th and International Blvd. take the elevator up then over the bridge.
Is it a far walk from the luggage claim to the light rail. We will have two large bags. I don’t mind the walk but with luggage 😮
I have been researching Seattle videos for almost 2 years now trying to understand it the best way I can before moving there. This is by far the most comprehensive, beautifully narrated and shot video I have seen on Seattle! Thank you for sharing!!
You’re gonna love it here . Moved here 3 years ago …. Was only supposed to stay for 2 ….. why can I say. I’m in love
Tip don't live in Seattle live in diffrent city
Agree not to move here. Live elsewhere in Washington. Seattle is a cesspool. Both our cars were broken into within 6 days of moving here in March 2021. Also, if you don’t make at least $5k a month, you can visit just won’t be able to live nice in the state. People hate outsiders too, very unfriendly. We lost $700 with just parking tickets, even with a permit. Moving back to Texas in a few weeks!
@@stacyhoward5464 Damn... That bad? Thank you for your honest comment. I've been trying to decide between Seattle and Denver, because of their proximity to outdoor activities, but I have only visited Denver (and I loved it). I might have to rethink moving to Seattle. If someone breaks into my truck I'm gonna lose it.
@@paulhatzig7084 Seattle is covered in homeless
I went on my first solo trip to Seattle a few weeks ago and it was one of the best experiences despite being so anxious!! Traveling solo is definitely intimidating but its so liberating.
@Robert DaMan -- would you have a recommendation for the best area to get a hotel?
It looks a great place to visit - and solo travel is great we agree.
Finally someone made a new Seattle Video. It was good🤙🏽🤙🏽 I’m tired of people making depressing videos. Every city has its pros n cons. Every place has people less fortunate. 10/10 Seattle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for saying this... yes! I have been feeling a little down about the city (because I haven't left Capitol Hill/downtown since lockdown)... and this video was another reminder of what a wonderful city I am fortunate enough to live in has to offer!
@@EricaGamet Ballard Ave with its street seating is even better than ever. COVID hasn't ruined everything. With no disrespect to the businesses that have succumbed to the pandemic, the challenge has brought out the best in other businesses, and what we're returning to is pretty darned amazing.
I just saw one of my old students in your video!!! So cool!! What a small world.
I am visiting Seattle in late June, and this is the first complete video I have watched. Thank you for all the tips and tricks. Greetings from Illinois!
Don't go to Ivars. If you make your way to Alki Beach in West Seattle sunfish has the best fish and chips
@@caitlinburns7467 Thank you!
A lot of these food spots were tourist spots BUT many are still worth it. I thought the dessert list was better than the food list. Bar hopping in Belltown is fun and there's great food there. Bangrak for Thai, Roccos for pizza, and right now on Thursdays Screwdriver Bar has different restaraunt popups serving food. Unicorn Bar is in Capitol Hill and I don't recommend it on a weekend cause of the line/wait for drinks. I'd go to that bar earlier in the day (I think they open at 4?) on a weekday.
@@evelyngoldsmith7140 Thank you for your insight. We loved Seattle and planned to come back. My daughter is a minor and it was hard to get into a brewery. We were impressed with the food. It was so good.
This is probably most ideal way for a travel guide video to be shown. Quick simple and covered a lot and was very informational. I've lived in Seattle several years and this video still helped me locate new places without me having to skip over all the places I've already been to. Thanks! You the real MVP
Oh man we gotta meet up so I can show you the real spots, these are all tourist traps. Try Pho bac, Vivace, Hello Em, A+Hong Kong Kitchen , Haidi Lao, June Baby, Taku, Gan Bei, carnitas Michoacán, fried catfish from beacon hill shell station, the list goes on ! :)
I love this! Thank you!
ahhhh so many good suggestions! ty!! 🤩🤩
I second the catfish from the Shell gas station
Seattle fish guys too!
Beacon Hill Shell catfish was a regular late night thing when I was a teen. Especially if Hong Kong Bistro was packed. Even if most are popular with tourists, I still like a lot of her picks.
I miss my home so much!! 😢 this video made me feel like I was there. Seattle and the PNW just give a sense of peace. Great video!
thank you!! ☺️
Living in pompano beach now . Love the perpetual sun here the ocean is warm like bath water. Love Seattle’s spring blossoms & walking in the autumn leaves /fresh air.
The pier is my favorite day trips.
@@victoriasmith815 it looks beautiful there! Does the humidity bother you after living in wa?
@@jbperez9289 Humidity is actually very low compared to East and Gulf coasts. Often under 50%. Reason being the Japanese Current brings cold Ocean waters all the way down to S.F.Bay area where it collides with Humboldt Current creating the Fogs.
Wow it's like a love letter to Seattle. So glad you're enjoying it!
:3
The Columbia tower is also amazing for a view of the Seattle skyline! It’s cheaper than going up the space needle (plus if you’re looking at the Seattle skyline, you’ll want the space needle in the picture as well!) Awesome video, I’m so excited to move to Seattle soon!
Ah that’s a good one! I still have that on my list of places to visit!!
Yesss omg my prom was at the Columbia tower and it was the best view I’ve seen of the city
Good advice. Moving there this weekend… well.. to Redmond anyway… but I plan on just walking around town making a slow pace towards my new job. Thanks
how high do you get to go in the columbia tower? is it different from the sky view observatory
Excellent video! A few of my favorite places:
- Fremont troll for photos :)
- Reading room at the Suzzallo library at UW (open to the public, often tourists peek in to take photos)
- Burke Gilman trail (hop on a bike, couple of breweries on the way)
- International District (esp. Uwajimaya and the Kinokuniya book store)
- University Village for a more typical shopping fix
- Olympic Sculpture park (nice area for a walk or run)
+1 on all of these! I have yet to go to the Fremont troll and the Suzzallo library, but they are def on my list! Thank you so much for sharing these spots! 💚💙
Do you have any recommendations for used bookstores? Thank you
As a Seattle native, we are known for our coffee and I promise Starbucks isn't the best place to get coffee here! Try Allegro in U-District, Espresso Vivace in Capitol Hill, or Cafe Ladro by the Convention Center. It makes me sad when I see these videos of people recommending visiting Starbucks when coming to Seattle when we have so many good local small cafe's that have way better coffee :(
Agreed! Would have to say cap hill is the best though. If anyone has a place in downtown I’d like to know I tried 10 but none are as good as the places in cap hill. Vivace, joe bar, ghost note, and post pike bar & cafe are my favorites.
woodland coffee and Venture Coffee in Ballard are as good any place in Seattle
That’s cuz it’s not coffee it’s a sweetened milk shake with a lollipop cake.
I will try these mentioned locations!
I do prefer my coffee black with no fancy additives. Your #1 favorite?
I will travel anywhere in city for this. Thanks! ☕️
Hi. The Amtrak is also a great way of getting there. Took it twice when visiting Seattle from California. You get great views along the way :)
Oh cool! Where is the pick up area?
I did too! I moved from LA to Seattle in 2019 and took the Amtrak. Beaches to prairies to mountains. Such a gorgeous view.
I have family in Colorado so I thought I was pretty familiar with mountains (been up Pike's Peak multiple times), but when I moved to Seattle, nothing prepared me for seeing Mt. Rainier for the first time. That thing is BIG, and so breathtaking!
This is so nice!
As a coffee-addicted person, would Iike to add some of my favorite coffee spots
Victrola / Ladro / Vivace / Elm coffee / KEXP / Anchorhead (plz try their waffle !) / Armistice coffee etc.
Starbucks reserve in Caphill is great to visit but way too hyped and not a good compared with other local coffee brands IMAO.
Thank you, I agree. I can't imagine being a tourist who can get Starbucks in every major city in the world wanting to still drink it in Seattle. It would be like going to San Bernardino to eat at McDonalds. People used to stop me in SLU and ask where the nearest Starbucks was and I'd tell them that they're in Seattle, there's no need to drink that stuff, we have good coffee here. Your list is good. And I'm not Vegan but the Vegan Oat Bar at Ladro is fantastic.
try two kick coffee in queen anne!
I would add Santos Coffee by Green Lake
you should definitely try out coffeeholic!!!
Couldn’t have posted at a better time. I’m moving out there in 4 days! Finally living in my dream place...permanently 🙌🏼
if you live in seattle, or are just visiting, you HAVE to go get teaking. i've never liked boba since it tasted kind of weird but this place sells BOMBBB boba. even my friends who have been drinking boba for years say this is the best place to get boba. they're located around south lake union !
As a former Seattleite and now living in Portland, your video made me miss the Emerald City. It just hits different and really hard to explain to Portlanders. I loved your enthusiasm. Meeting a friend who has nvr been to Seattle next month and sent ur video to get excited. Great post!
I can name it. Portland is statistically the whitest city in the US. Fuck Portland.
Was last there 2 years ago (this week actually) so this video brought up so many happy memories. Fingers crossed we can move there when I'm done with grad school cause no other city has ever felt so much like home before
Ballard! Visit Ballard. Cute shops, cute places to eat and drink. MIGHTY O has tasty donuts too. Gracia for some mexi. Back to Seattle, Frolik downtown has an amazing rooftop bar. Tacos Chukis on cap hill! Ba Bar! Lil woodies burgers are my favorite burgers in town. Paseo omg Paseo Caribbean sandwiches. So many good food places haha
Ballard sucks.
Ballard is so much fun. Especially Ballard Ave at night. Lively and young. Very happening but still fun for oldies like me. Just park and walk. You can find places like Little Tin Apothecary (stupidly creative cocktails) and Rachel's (equally stupidly good small plates). And if you walk around a bit more, you'll find breweries poking out of walls, high end steak joints like Asadero's. It's just a ridiculously good evening.
I love that she called out Dick’s Burgers 😊 I grew up in the valley just outside of Seattle, but my high school would almost always have prom and homecoming dances in Seattle, and getting Dick’s all dressed up in your prom gear was The Thing To Do before a dance, so it’s got a special place in my heart 😊
A nice little bar located near the Space Needle is the 5 Point Cafe....great happy hour!
The central is one of the first bars in Seattle and it’s still around
As a born and raised Washingtonian, you did such a good job with this video!!!
Hi! it's good I bumped into your vlog, I found it very nice. I was there last year (2023) and seeing your vlog makes me want to go back bec.there are still many places I want to see and experience. Thank you for sharing. BTW, I am watching from the Philippines.
I live two hours away and I’m still here watching the beautiful Seattle that I miss all the time
You can't leave out Temple Pastries, and Raised Doughnuts for pastries. Don't forget about Milstead & Co for Coffee, The many amazing Ethiopian Restaurants in the Central District (Ras Dashen being my personal fav). Seattle Fish Guys for really solid Poke. Senor Moose & Fonda La Catrina for amazing Mexican brunch. And finally Canon for some amazing cocktails.
fonda la catrina is SO GOOD, love the georgetown neighborhood
Haha, I miss the Papas con Rajas at Senor Moose.
Thanks girl! You’re video just helped me plan my 4 day trip to Seattle in one video. I appreciate you taking the time to do this!
Thanks, Kelly! I'm Seattle born and raised, but it's refreshing to see someone who loves it as much as me! Be sure to check out Lincoln Park in West Seattle. In the summer, there's a saltwater pool on the beach (Coleman). You can only get there by walking thru the park. Makes for a nice afternoon swim and picnic!
It feels weird watching this sorta stuff when U have been living in the city since u were a kid lol, I’m a teen and I’ve been here ALMOST my whole life
You deserve AWARDS for this video! SO thorough and helpful, seriously. I live in Bend (down in Oregon) but I'm coming up to Seattle this weekend and this just 1) gave me so many new ideas, 2) reminded me of a few spots I've been to before that I'd forgotten about, and 3) gave me a FRESH desire to move to Seattle. hahaha! Thank you so much! Subscribed!
It’s like UA-cam knew I was going to Seattle! Glad to see this while I’m still planning! 😄
Thank you for your video, born/raised in Seattle truly a special , artsy , natural place to live & raise a family…🌷🌷🌷
I'm an LA native and after graduating college during covid, i decided i wanted to move out of state. It was between Seattle or Chicago and I chose Chicago for my career. However, I've always been attracted to Seattle so it was not an easy decision. I hope one day, I make my way back to the west coast and experience living in Seattle. Keep making amazing content Kelly!
No mention of MoPop in the Seattle Center? We love going there and seeing all the neat exhibits.
I love washington state so much , I went there 4 years ago for my birthday and fell in love, I'm planning on ( hopefully ) moving there next year
Planning to visit for the first time this fall and you laid this out extremely well and explained everything in detail. You go girl-needed this video!
This was so wonderfully detailed and lovely, thank you so much for all the time that you put into this video, can’t wait to visit Seattle someday because of this!
Thank you so much for this guide! I have been planning on driving up to Seattle and I'll keep this in mind 😊
This is a wonderful guide/video! Thank you, Kelly!
Great video Kelly. Glad you are having fun.
I loved this video so much. I already love Seattle and you made me appreciate and love it so much more
This is so so so helpful! I moved here last May and after a year staying I still feel like a visitor, and thanks to this video I know how to make the upcoming days count! Thanks a ton :)
Excellent tuor guidance. Thank
Definitely gonna use this for our family vacation this summer! Thank you so much!!!
This was such a wholesome video, watching this made me so grateful I was born and raised here!
Love this. Golden Age Collectibles (oldest comics store in north America?); Freya Bakery and Cafe is a hidden gem off the market and Geraldine's Counter Restaurant was AMAZING! Also, don't forget the underground tour of Seattle.
The lemonade DJ set show is a great vibe! Great video!
Thank you so much for making this video, it was comprehensive and fun to watch!!! You rock!
this was so informative! thanks girl! 🧡
This was an awesome video!!! Thank you so much!!
Amazing video Kelly! Your videos inspire me so much 💕
Thank you so much for this video! Just went this week and tried doing everything you mentioned. It was a blast and can’t wait to visit again!
This video has it all! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for making this video. I went to Seattle during summer'18 and have wanted to go back ever since. I have some new places to add to my list now.
This is the PERFECT travel guide that I was looking for! I'm visiting Seattle during the 4th of July weekend and will be moving there for grad school in the fall. I've been binging your videos for a while now and it just makes me more excited for my move :) Always looking forward to your future videos Kelly!
how exciting!!! best of luck to you with your move! hoping for a sunny Seattle 4th of July weekend for you (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Going to Seattle in July and this video brought back so many memories from the last time I went! So excited visit again !
Really interesting and informative video. Thank you!
I loved your video! This was so helpful-I'm hoping to visit Seattle soon!
You covered all things great about Seattle! Love it!
This is a delightful video! This September will mark 10 years since I got to visit the US. Between that and the lack of recent travel due to covid I am very much in the mood to reminisce. Seattle was definitely a highlight of that trip. For a place with a reputation for rain we lucked out and had beautiful sunshine all the days we were there. Just a super cool city. I will definitely return one day! 😄
Hi Kelly! Your video was super informative. Thank you for helping me add a bunch of places onto my Seattle yelp bookmarks. I am moving into Seattle for the first time this coming fall, so I really appreciate the help (:
I miss Seattle so much.
You should try Shugs Soda Fountain ! It’s in pikes place market. All sorts of fun ice cream sundaes and normal ice cream stuff as well as Ice Cream Cocktails!
Heading there next weekend, great tips!
Kelly - what a terrific job you did! Haven't been to Seattle in a few years but getting there end of August and you have me enthused! Plus, how many "tour guides" give you the "driving in" perspective. Well done!
super helpful! thanks for making this!
An amazing and thorough video I truly love your content ❤️👏🏾
I loved this video! So helpful for planning my upcoming trip - thanks Kelly!
Wow this video is perfect! Extremely informative and hits everything you need! Thank you!!
Thank you for putting this video together. I can't wait to go next summer.
This video was so awesome and so detailed that I watched it twice! I have been to so many places in Seattle but it is so cool to discover new places to visit as well as new restaurants to eat.
I'm going to Seattle just to look for you and say hi...🤗
Thank you so much for sharing this video! My husband and I are visiting in August and I'm super stoked and cannot wait.
This is the BEST video for those who are about to visit Seattle for the next couple of years!! Can't wait to explore them ALL!! Thank you so much for this thoughtful list. I love it!!!!!

Wonderful video, love love love love your editing
Thank you! Very helpful 😊
I’ve been binge watching all of your Seattle/WA videos since like January of this year - literally watched all of them a handful of times. I’m currently in the PNW now exploring dog friendly national park hikes, the city parks, going to see San Juan Islands this weekend… thank you for the amazing content! Send good vibes that we see Mt. Rainier before we leave! 🤞🏼 xoxo Madi & Ham
Great video! Thank you!
I love the way you promote our city. That would help prospect travelers feel like home when they choose their future destination to spend the fun time
Love this video Kelly! ❤️
