These are so beautiful! I am a Native American and when I was little the old timers, including my grandfather, made wikyut, where you get the word wigwam. Those twig and leaf houses were so cozy! He also made twig and moss houses for birds and bats, which eat biting insects. These are a little different, but they remind me of home. Thank you.
Would love to see some of them.

It's nice to see people still enjoying nature. My generation seems too detached from it, but I love the outdoors. I have no experience with building sculptures and structures out of sticks, side from dream catchers, but I'm thinking I'm going to give it a shot today on my favorite trail that I visit every day or so. It's such a magical place, others go there as well, so I'm trying very hard to think of something that the other locals will enjoy as well. Can't decide if I want to make something as simple as a bench, or maybe even archways somewhere along the trail? A bench would be easy, but a giant archway, a hut, or even a deer sculpture would probably be more apt to put a smile on someone's face when they see it! One day, I will build a bench, because aside from me, it's mostly older folks that walk their dogs down here, and one of them put this little tractor seat on the ground on top of this tiny hill that looks down upon the stream. I bet they''d rather have a nice bench there. I want to think outside of the box, though! Perhaps a bench with an arch/roof overhead?
Anywho, I strongly recommend all of those whom are interested in this sort of thing, particularly the arts and crafts category, to work with willow! It's very, very simple to make a nice loop for a dream catcher, baskets, and you could even make chairs and any type of sculpture! Lovely plant for crafting.
If anyone has any ideas of what I should try, please do comment here! I need to keep busy and I like to create things out of nature, I just need an idea! I was a landscaper for quite a few years, I always loved the feeling of completing a long project and seeing the land look healthier and more beautiful than before.
