- First proper drive in the Stage 2 GTI with a Cobra Turbo Back exhaust and Revo cold air intake. Tuned by R-Tech Performance - it's got 5 different maps in can run at. Here we didn't have it in full power due to the wet conditions.

This is the best sounding exhaust setup for the Mk5 I've found on UA-cam! Wanted something slightly louder and deeper than stock but not obnoxious, so I ended up ordering the resonated catback (I have no plans for a downpipe/stage 2) from Cobra after watching this and your previous video. No issues with droning at all on the resonated system?
Haha thanks man. I really wanted to try and get this out there to show other people because I was watching loads of videos for similar systems before I got it. It literally is perfect to me, not overpowering when you're just cruising around, but when you hammer it, sounds epic especially in tunnels. No drone at all for me, and no crazy asbo loud pops and bangs. Just a really subtle burble on the gear changes, and nice little overrun on deceleration occasionally 👍🏼

Hi mate, is it ok to run your stage 2 with standard intercooler & clutch? No problems with it?
Standard clutch is doing ok, I've seen people run this power or maybe even slightly more with it. The intercooler I think might suffer a bit in summer when it gets warmer. I've heard of heatsoak being an issue so probably the next thing I'll have to look at. The S3 intercooler is usually an easy replacement, fits the same fittings 👍🏼

How do you change what map your using on the car, like multiple maps ?
Before starting the car, if you just turn the ignition on. Left foot on the break and then tap the accelerator, it changes between the 5 maps. Hard to describe but very easy to show 😅

When you put in your GFB dv+ did the intake noises increase or decrease ? Mine decreased only flutters on high gears with low rpm acceleration
I'm not sure tbh because I did all of the work around the same time, so not sure if the gdb actually made it louder or not. Overall I was happy with the sound after it though.
What’s the mileage on your gti? And can I order the cobra exhaust even if I’m from the United States?
It's on 118,000 miles roughly, and yes I'm sure you can. I know cobra operate in the US, just need to find a dealer near you that stocks them 👍🏼

how did you get that turbo chatter? my cars stage 2 from rtech 270bhp 435nm of torque, decat direnza catback exhaust intake r8 coil packs etc, but i need that turbo chatter in my life😂
Haha gotta have the chatter! 😅 Ermm what intake have you got? I think it's Revo intake that makes that sound for me. Maybe also GFB DV+?

Hmm maybe that intake is different, because I'm pretty sure it's the Revo that made most the difference with bringing that sound out
@@DanTheFourWheelerMines flutters pretty lound since I have a high-flow cat 3" dp and CAI upgrade, it turns heads. New oem turbo also.
What's the millege on and how's it fuel economy wise bro
120k miles approx. Fuel economy wasn't actually too bad, maybe around 30mpg

Is the turbo back exhaust resonated or non resonated?
Resonated, it's just too much if it's non resonated in my eyes. Will do your head in with the boominess of the sound, especially on dual carriage ways or motorways

Not changed the intercooler yet, probably next thing on the list. Was just the turbo back exhaust and Revo Intake and somehow managed to get that much out of it 🤷🏻♂️ I usually run it in map 4 though which is around 270bhp roughly.
