WOW how did I not connect the dots before?? I associated hyper empathy with my deep emotions with anything/everything or sympathetic crying seeing others cry. But the throwing away the hairbrush, stuffed animals being mistreated, and the chocolate animals! Lol I have so many emotions and connections to objects that most people I know don't think twice about. Yet I never realized that was part of the same hyper empathy
Didn't know this had a name! Yesss! Gummy bears, stuffed animals, beloved objects or even normal objects... I once encouraged a printer... The good side is that it helps me be empathetic to real animals! And people in need.
Probably this is the reason why we tend to hoard things (instead of due to OCD or OCPD) Alternative: Probably this is one of the reasons why we tend to hoard things (besides OCD or OCPD)

The thing you said about stuffed animals. Yes!!
OMG YESSS!!! CHOCOLATE BUNNIES. HOW DO YOU EAT THOSE?!?! I used to started with their bottom and saved the head for later. The horror.
I used to do the same thing 😋
I think I probably still have a ten year old chocolate bunny lying around somewhere...

Oooh could be!
I think that could be, yes, but I suspect I also have OCD, so I might not be the best judge of that...
@@jontje5537 My claim indeed sounds a bit extreme, since the potential causes of hoarding are not mutually exclusive. Alternative statement is added.
Oh my god yes! I couldn’t relate more to this!
i relate a lot
