I love the video man, as always. It takes a load of willpower to reject an item you so desperately want that's right in front of you. But 5 minutes of quick research can save you money, potential disappointment AND frustration. And I noticed the hat! Lake Louise was my old stomping ground, I used to live in kananaskis Alberta (near Lake Louise). And I proposed to my wife on Coronado beach...small world! Keep rockin TPC!!!

That Jabba Dungeon playset for $450👌 nice. That one is perfect for qualified grading 👍 just get a little catalog booklet. I know it's much more thrilling when you find something right in front of you 😆 Happy hunting brother 😉👊

Ever since I decided to upgrade my loose fig collection to graded walking away bas become a staple. Some figs I have held look really nice to the naked eye and would be awesome on a shelf but under a jewelers loupe I just didn't think it would grade well. Learn to walk away folks and save for what you really want.

One notion that I like to keep in mind whether I'm buying vintage Star Wars toys or looking at classic cars, is to purchase the nicest quality piece that you can afford.
When it comes to cars, you can spend a lot of money getting something back to "perfect" condition. On the other hand, when it comes to toys, it's only in original condition once. So I always look for the nicest boxes, as that's something that you really can't do anything about. Settling for a piece that is subpar just because it's in front of you is always going to end in regret in my opinion.
And purchasing it in as complete as possible condition is always a good move as well. If there's pieces missing, you should consider that it can be more costly to find little bits and pieces than just to buy a complete set up front.
I know I've ran into that several times in my collecting history. You would think by now I would know better, but even as recently as this year, I've put myself in that rabbit hole, where I bought a playset that was missing a few bits, and when everything was said and done I ended up spending about $100 more than I should have.
Lastly I'm always happy when you point out that any purchase should be compared to current market values. There are so many sellers out there that are asking way too much for their vintage items just because they're vintage.
I'm already looking forward to your Hoth Ice Planet playset review - this is a set that I've also been quietly hunting for over the last couple years.
Btw- That price on that limited edition Ahsoka Funko Pop was absolutely bonkers. Being that they're only 500 of them though, they probably rarely come up for sale. It might be hard to actually know the market value on something like that. But I know that the price it was being asked was pretty wild, despite its rarity.

Hey Bandicoot. Word. I hear you. There was an Ahsoka prototype that I waaaay overbid for. Lucky a few other people bid higher than me but after that auction I thought to myself, “what the heck got into me?!” Lol. It was like a crazed animal highjacked my system while I was bidding!

I recently got a Crash Bandicoot prototype for an unreleased you line but it cost an arm and a leg. I'm so happy to have it in my collection, but there's an air of guilt!
ALWAYS... Be ready to walk away. Never fall in love with the item to the point where it dictates the decisions.

I bought my Hoth Ice planet for $300….because it was mint and had a Fedcp price sticker on it….to me that sealed the deal. The extra price was worth it to have that sticker on it….shows it started it’s retail life in So Cal.

there are sellers that sells vintage kenner star wars action figures and playsets in steep prices in fb market place but the condition of those said toys are beater or has seen better days
Hey John! Yes it’s often the case that the sellers are misinformed to account for wear and missing items in their prices. All they have to do their research on are other high prices that they see on Facebook and often these prices or data points are old or not true sale prices.

I see a GREAT deal, an affordable price, everything's kosher, but I walk away anyway.

I know these aren't rare, but passing on these is ridiculous.
There's absolutely NO reason to say no on these.
I absolutely HATE that about myself.
