What's the standard to grade any toy? With all the companies that do it you'll get a different grade for the same toy from each one. I'm convinced that grading is a scam.
@ChesterNutter It's silly when you stop to think about it. The original intent of toys was to be played with, not displayed like a museum piece (same goes for video games and most other "collectibles" unless we're talking about baseball cards, coins or stamps). People want carded figures so that they can display them as if they're walking into an eighties-era Kaybee or Toys 'R' Us, and there's something infantile and overtly consumerist/materialist about that.
@ChesterNutter I think guys like Froggy have a genuine passion for vintage toys, yet at the end of the day I think that purchasing/flipping channels are less hobbyist channels and more small business channels. They could be buying/flipping just about anything. Not opening and playing with toys is almost just as absurd as video game channels where all they do is purchase/sell/collect/showcase their games but never actually show themselves playing them. I want to see an adult toy channel where a grown man vigorously plays with his vintage toys, setting up intricate action scenarios as if he were a child again 😄

it's just sad to see an owner departed with their collection
I’m happy for the gentleman selling his horror collection off. He only expected $1200-$1500, what he had and got half of what he could of gotten, you did him good! I’m sure he was content with your #
Can anyone please advise what would be a good website / app for tracking graded toy prices? Like with comics you have GPA for example. Thanks!
that finger sucks lol
The $300 is most likely the meet and greet price (pic and 1 autograph). Autograph alone is maybe $100. Its important to remember that your paying partly for the experience which does not always transfer full value you paid to the item. Love the 25 minute episodes - Perfect for breakfast and coffee!
Exactly! Was thinking this. The autograph is most def not worth $300. That guy was overpricing everything.
What's the standard to grade any toy? With all the companies that do it you'll get a different grade for the same toy from each one. I'm convinced that grading is a scam.
The owner dude in this reminds me a lot of actor Jason Marsden. I am going to think of him as his cousin. Great stuff.
I played Spitz in Halloween 5 - lemme know if I can auto any of those items for you guys! 🎃
same
The best thing about Saturday mornings- Toy Federation videos and coffee. And The Cure was on tv in the background!
Any hobby/collector where the packaging is more valued and coveted than what's inside is a hobby/collector which has lost its grip.
I watched this randomly and I have so much respect for the owner. I can't watch pawnstars because it angers me too much. "Thinking about $1200." Rick or whoever replies with "Weeeeeeell the best I can do is the lent in my pocket and I get to go fool around with your old lady sitting in the car. I mean I got to sell it for 3000% what I pay you so." Lol Literally offers them 18% of what it's worth. Even after their expert appraises it.
We're the M.A.S.K. vehicles new in box or just complete? Do you have any extra boxes for the vehicles? How much are the vehicles?
Star wars will not stop producing, I would’ve kept those horror or at least some
I love peer pressure trying to get him to collect Joe's again. 👍👍
