Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 бер 2021
- I bought a new shop! It's 30x50 (my previous shop was 16x20). It is kind of in a sad state when I bought it. In this series, I'll walk you through the steps I take to update the inside from drab to showroom. We're talking insulation, paint, epoxy floors, air, conditioning, doors, windows, the works!
This will be a multi part series, so subscribe to watch the transformation happen!

Nice. That small room with now power is a great spot for a finishing room.
That's a great idea! Perhaps cut a hole in the wall to add a venting fan out?
@@MyersWoodshop maybe run an air hose as well for spray capability.
We move into our new 1250 sq ft shop next weekend. We are super excited!
What a dream! You are so lucky to have so much space. I am very jelly.
It’s been a long road to this! I am blessed!
I had cellulose insulation sprayed in my garage walls without them being opened up. just a small 1 inch hole at the top of each 16 inch span. Works well and would save alot of time! That is if you are not rewiring......
Congratulations. I can't wait to see what you do with the space.
Thank you! I can’t wait to start moving in!
Really awesome. Curious what the room in the corner will become. Needs a window to be an office but maybe too cramped anyways. Spray booth not necessary because it becomes wasted space when not spraying often enough. Deciding what goes in the two halves is interesting too. High ceilings versus cozy area low ceilings.
I know the feeling of not having space! 30 x 50 is huge!
I'm certainly blessed!
You guy's over the pond have so much more space in your yards than a lot of us in UK - supper jealous - Wishing you the very best with setting things up and look forward to seeing your progress and future projects you do.. :)
Well that's two Brits who's mind think the same way 🤔.
Then again our houses are the size of shoe boxes compared to the houses they have !!!
Two jealous 😫 😩 Brit's it's starting to sound like a sitcom!!!
Awesome. Congrats!
What a great space Ben. Congrats
Cool man - congrats on the new digs
Congrats! That looks like a great space to make your own!
Congrats! That's so exciting!
Thanks Cory!
amazing!!! congrats
Nice! Look forward to this series.
Hope you enjoy it!
Can’t wait to see part 2!!
Tune in next Sunday! Make sure you're subscribed!
What a great space, looking forward to the build.
Me too! Still LOTS to do!
I am looking forward to the series.
Thanks Sam! I can't wait till it all comes together!
The wife and I are doing the exact same thing you guys are. Good luck.
It’s a lot of work and very stressful, but we’re finally beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel!
Awesome!!. That New Shop is going to be insane. More power to you brother 🙌🏻 Good luck
Appreciate it!!
Very exciting! Congratulations! I'm subscribing now...
Looking forward to seeing your progress. We are about to break ground on my dream shop and wife's dream house here in Memphis area.
I’m in the same situation. I was renting a building, but it felt like I was going to work and I didn’t enjoy it as much. I moved my equipment back to my house and instantly blew the walls out from lack of space. And my back yard isn’t big enough to build a big shop.
Exactly!! I never want to be more than a few steps away from the shop, lol. I don't want a commute to 'work'!
The first thing I’d do is take care of the doors. Get rid of the windows...you don’t want thieves being able to see all your equipment 🤣 Next, put some openers on the doors. Add a keypad to the door frame so you don’t have to carry a remote. You will be so happy with all that extra space!!!
Part of the series will be: add garage door openers with keypad (and most likely replace the garage doors if $$ permits), replace shop door, replace shop windows, add blinds, and a whole lot more!
Are you also going to insulate the attic as well? That's the most important if you want to keep heat / cool the shop during the summer.
Very jealous from my 20x18 shop!
Wow that's what you call a lot more ridiculous space in comparison to your old workshop, but I have to say why didn't we get to see the loft area? The first part had a loft ladder there wanting you to go up and the extension had a window in the loft space for some daylight 🤔!!! Good luck fella and as always 💯% 👍🇬🇧.
P.s I'm in the process of digging out the foundations for a workshop and it's the same size as the one you have just left behind!!!
Congrats on the new house & workshop. I could tell you were cramped, specially doing CNC videos. The camera behind you & you had to keep turning round to talk to cam & make eye contact. Hope you get better in the new place.
Have fun!!
Does the new shop have a good amount of outlets? Are any of them 220v? You showed us that closet and I got to thinking. Would that be a good spot for the cnc tools you have that need dust free?
Hey Ben. You got me sold on the Onefinity. I currently have an old DaVinci 1.0 abs 3d printer. What do you think the best pla/abs printer for $500 and under to do large items with fine detail. Thanks, Vince.
I always tell people then ender 3...but for around 500 you can go big with the ender 5 plus: amzn.to/3fTcuYG
@@MyersWoodshop Thank you Ben...Vince
Now that you have more ROOM you will NEED NEW EQUIPMENT, IE new CNC, 3D printers, TABLES, and other fine stuff. HEHE
If you decide to sell your stove, let me know!
No way! That suckers staying!
