There is mold in the shower grout… most of the staff is dry as hell… the power went out 6 times in one day and when you tell them The photo looks nothing like your room, they say “it’s the angle”. There was plate outside my neighbors door for 2 days despite staff being in and out the rooms…. I’m still in town… I’ll stop there
not my experience at all. what side did you stay on? the property is beautiful. I had a room right on the water & private entrance. my room was nice & food was good & I'm very picky. I went in 2019 right before covid.
Just in case anyone is looking into going here now Oct 2022 and on (like me). They completely renovated all the rooms this year including adding new swim up rooms. Please look up the renovations before making a final decision. 😊

Breathless resort Secrets, saint James. The jewels resort. And reu montego Bay resort. All adults only. Excellent service top to bottom.❤ That's what you're looking for when you're spending hard-earned money.

I would agree the rooms need updating but they are spacious. entertainment could be a little better. overall, I would go back.
Yeah, I was on the Jamaica side. We have a group on LAdy Hamilton side and they also had some major issues. Like someone didnt have AC for the whole week!

I was there for my son's wedding and that was the only thing I enjoyed during my stay; please take my word for it I don't have a reason to lie. By the way I was a little embarrassed because my son had 85 people attend his wedding. 🤬The RIU PALACE IS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!!😊
Makes me feel good about my general choice to not do resorts when traveling. I like it when the hotel does all the hotel stuff right and the nearby restaurants do all the restaurant stuff right, and so on. That being said, if I was to stay in one, I would be like you: stuff needs to be taken care of on time and they better have an extra blanket if I ask for one.

When I went to the Trident Hotel in Hyderabad, although not a resort, the staff there constantly impressed me with their dedication to service. Same with the Marriott in Guangzhou and the Zhongshan Hotel in Nanjing and the Sheraton by Alameda Central in Mexico City. And in the USA, I've been to multiple beachside hotels that should have been better, but they simply did not care. One was bad enough to be like Fawlty Towers.

The owners of this hotel probably gave it little attention with renovation. I'm Jamaican and i believe you. There are other Palladium on other islands, maybe you should try them out and tell us your experience with them. I just read another YT opinion on the hotel and they had a blast there. Go to other hotels in Jamaica.

It’s call air conditioning. Not sure if you have heard of that invention before. My air conditioning was freezing cold. My girlfriend was in sweats hoodie and 2 pairs of socks. I couldn’t adjust it While other rooms air conditioning was broken.
A/C can turn down, dah🤨, If the guest before you leave later than the scheduled time the entire timing will be off track for the day. So unfortunate you check-in was about 3hours late😔. I'm watching another video from another UA-cam an they had the pleasure of checking in 1hour early🙂
We went to Jamaica 3 years ago and stayed in Negril. The airport in Montego Bay is pretty crappy but that driving in Jamaica is absolutely INSANEEEEEE. We were almost in a couple accidents and it was freaking crazy how they drive over there. On our last night we had a little too much fun and the 2 1/2 hour drive from Negril to the airport was miserable lol. Had an absolute blast there tho! Please tell me you had a frozen Bob Marley while you were there?

Oh they were “renovated” when I went and people in those rooms didn’t have working air conditioners. It was awful
I just returned today (Oct 29 2022). The rooms in our building were not updated with missing light fixtures and broken bed spokes.

Best place Ive been in Jamaica. The rooms are better on the Lady Hamilton side of the resort. The jamaica side rooms are basic and cheaper.
