- Hey guys, my daughter and I celebrated our birthday at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa, located in Lucea, Hanover. This was our first visit to the resort and we wanted to share our journey with you. We do hope you enjoy this hotel vlog.

I stayed here twice the other side (resort) shower was larger.. WOW I keep forgetting there's a PANDEMIC that place looks like a ghost town 👀. Can't wait to visit again.. I love Jamaica!

This review came up on my feed as i visited December 2019 came home and Covid took hold a couple of months later.I watched this very detailed reveiw today;the only thing i would say they can't be knocked for not having much entertainment and things to do because obviously with covid restrictions in place not many people are travelling.The food was fantastic with all restaurants open so various choices.For me it was a holiday of a lifetime, there was nothing i wasn't happy with.I have mobility issues too but it was easy to call a buggy to take me wherever i wanted to go.I am of Jamaican heritage but born in England so it was kinda home from home for me.I still keep in touch with some staff members on a regular basis.Things will be back to normal soon and i promise you when they are you will have the time of your life there.

Those golf buddies are cool to take guest to their room. They also have regular service to pick up guest at each block of apartments
I found this out after I reached home.

To my knowledge there are three different sections. Jamaica, Lady Hamilton and another which is an adult section. However, if really doesn't matter where you stay because you have access to all section. I was at Lady Hamilton which is in the middle and I walked from there to the Jamaica side and then over to the adult section.
So the side where you saw the stores are the Jamaica side and the section with the Spa is closer to the adult section.
So hence why I was so tired because I actually walked the entire property. You will have a lot if walking to do. Lol.

The resort is wonderful though and the issues may be due to covid. I will revisit them after the pandemic to see if there are any changes.😊

Thanks for watching .y video and commenting. I plan in doing a video to indicate which hotel I love the best but all gas their own unique thing I like.
So far, Ocean Coral Spring is my top choice regarding food and entertainment and them Iberostar Suite would be second.
As it relates tonlocatiin near the hotel, they all are on one strip. The two I mentioned may be around 30 to 45 minutes from the airport.
I have been to Holiday Inn but that's was before doing my UA-cam channel. I like their food and entertainment but it's more kids friendly. That is closer to the hotel.

Thanks for the prompt response so me and the hubby want something all inclusive and adults only with a great room and balcony we booked the riu reggae but heard rumors it is closed down so we are now looking to book something else for the end of April 2021

Amazing video!! We're going for family vacation in December. I have sooo many questions just because of Covid and the website is vague on some things.
How old is your daughter? I'm traveling with a 15 and 8 yr old. Did your daughter use the kids club that's advertised? Did she have fun? How was the watersports?

My daughter had just turned 13 years old. To be honest, just as I mentioned in the review, we didn't have much fun.
Majority of the places and activities weren't available but I am of the view that these issues are due to covid.
For now, I would not recommend this resort for the kids. Hopefully by December all things everything changes.
I would recommend Ocean Coral Springs and Royalton Blue Waters for the kids. You may check those videos out if you want to on my UA-cam page.

I traveled to Grand Palladium on the 6th of February 2021. I didn't do any test on my visit, only temperature tests. May be this is due to the fact that I wasn't traveling from overseas. They may or may not have testing for overseas persons.
The Grand Palladium that I visited was Lady Hamilton.

When I was there they didn't have any site for covid testing, just the regular temperature check and stations to sanitized.

Toya, my hubby & I are going in two weeks for a good amount of days so I wanted to know if you had any advice/comments on masks requirements, the heat (clothing) and if there are any activities. Also, did they fill up your fridge after you spoke with them. We're going for my bday but also to get away from the everyday tasks as adults we deal with.

Mask is a must, well not in the pool. Lol. But they do encourage persons to wear their mask, especially when entering close spaces. (Restaurants..etc.) Take along sunscreen also and extra bath soup as the ones provided weren't enough me. Take shower cap too and flat slippers.
You should definitely take along nice restaurants attire and swim wear. You can also check their site to see what type of parties they will have during your stay. ' when I was there, they had an all white party that I didn't know about but I still went and saw ppl I'm different colour cloths'
They came and restocked my fridge within 10 minutes, so that was a plus for me.
The property is really big as they have different sections, so be prepared for a lot of walking of you wan to view the place.
The entertainment during the day wasn't much for me and I felt bored at some point but may be all this is due to covid and the little number of ppl.

There are many restaurants there, however, due to covid and limited and persons visiting at ther time, there were only 3 opened.

Can you tell me which room type did you select.? Are their couple jacuzzi tubs in all the bathrooms or just the romance suites?
We stayed in the junior suite and that had the jacuzzi tub. Not sure what the others have but I'm assuming that if the junior has it, the other rooms should be have too.

For now, my favorite hotel stay since covid are; Ocean Coral Spring and Iberstar Suites.

The prices will fluctuate now due to covid. It was affor6atvthe time I went to these resorts but the prices may increase now, since more persons are now booking resorts more often than before.
Out of the 5 hotels I've been to during this pandemic, my top picks for an anniversary that is affordable would be,
Ocean CORAL springs, Iberostrat Suite and then Grand Palladium.

I would recommend Jewel Grande Montego Bay & Spa, Ocean Coral Springs and then Iberostar Rosehall Suites.
I have heard however that Ocean Coral spring is not doing well now re. customer service but I know they have good entertainment for teens.
Iberostar has good food and the environment smells really nice but the entertainment even though good, is limited
Jewel Grande has good food and entertainment for sure. So that resort is my top pic.

The most they may do is offer one (1) night stay.

Informative video. But that looks like the smallest beach I've ever seen at a resort, lol. Were there enough chairs and shaded umbrellas for people? That's holding me back from booking, I'll admit.

The property is really big and as such. You have a wide stretch of beach. I specifically looked at the Corak. Each which is a section by the adult property. I think you may be mistaken that to be the while beach itself.
I didn't see much shaded umbrellas at the time and this may due to the fact that I went there during covid time.
In all, I didn't find my stay an entertaining one but you may go and have a different experience. I wouldn't want to go. back there.

This resort is also overpriced. Even some of the cheapest ones in Mexico offer much better beaches (and food also, from what I read). I hope they do the jerk chicken justice here!

This video I did is actually three different sections of Grand Palladium. They also have carts that will take you to different places.
As it related to the age of your child though, I wouldn't recommend this resort for her to have fun.
I would consider Rui Ocho and Ocean Coral Springs as they have slides and adults are also entertained. Ocean Coral food is better though.
Royalton Blue Water has slides too but I was not impressed with their service and food.

So based on the resorts I've visited, I would say Ocean Coral Springs and Royalton Blues. However, I wouldn't go back to Royalton because of poor customer service and the food was horrible. Both resorts have slids that I think kids would love.
My top hotel for good all around entertainment and food are: Iberostar Suite, Ocean Coral Springs and Jewel Grande.
I somewhat like Holiday Inn but nit many ppl gravitate to it.

The Airport is roughly 40-50 minutes away from the hotel. Take into consideration traffic and other unforeseen obstacles.

Unfortunately, I didn't visit the beach much. At the time, it looked lonely and this may be due to the low number of visitors at the time as a result of covid.
In addition, the water looked shallow. I realized that many ppl asks about the beaches at the resort, so I'm going to make it mybpoint of duty to vlog the beaches.

Hi Tanilia, I believe that there are 3 on the entire property. The biggest at Lady Hamilton, the other near the Spa and the other at the adult section.

Yes, they offered room service but at a cost. I think the price varies based on the time you want the service. Eg. Breakfast, lunch and/ or dinner.

No, I didn't pay any refundable incidental fee. I heard that is a thing now for most hotels but I have never been asked to pay any since I have been visiting hotels.

I am sorry but I cannot comment much on the beach.
In my visit, it rained the while weekend and as such, no one went near the beach as the water was rough. Not to mention the lightenings and thunders.
