  • A very simple trick to save you time when creating one part molds. Instead of building an elaborate box with a clay bottom, I will often use double sided tape and hot glue together a foam core box. This is a very quick way to create one part molds for objects with flat bottoms!

Thanks for the video. Quick and easy, but super helpful! Would you make any videos on what your silicon molding process is like? What kind of pouring silicon do you prefer, what resin do you use. Interested in what your overall process is.

Thanks Aurthur! If you search my channel, you can see a few other molding and casting videos.
I tend to use a lot of Smooth On Mold Max 30, 29NV for smaller things like this. For helmet sized things I will use Mold Max 30 with Thivex thickener or Stroke and layer on the silicone.
I tend to use a lot of 65D for props as its more resilent than 300 or 325. If you drop a prop weapon the 65D has some give, the 300 or 325 is lighter but will tend to shatter or chip. I also use Onyx for black items and sometimes Task 13 which is a black rubbery urethane resin for stunt props etc.
      Hope that helps!

Hello, I was just wondering if you could possibly make a custom Regan MacNeil prop from The Exorcist, With movable head and eyes if you know what I'm talking about. Thank you!
