Many Singaporeans criticised him and demanded that he apologise to Malaysia and China. We don't need to step on others to make ourselves feel tall.
We don't need to apologise to anyone for who we are today as long as there's respect on both sides but as a local I will say this only to foreigners...if you don't like Singapore pls don't work nor stay here because others would love to do so and yes I may travel alot but I still will always love my country...as they say don't play with chili padi 🌶️ it's red and small but it's 🔥
There is much to be said about the old Singapore but everyone needs to move ahead and there simply isn’t enough space on the little red dot to carve out space for that. After growing up in the older Singapore though, I’m happier with the here and now and happy to leave the night soil, the mosquito infested, the less-connected public transport memories and move onwards. Nice to keep the nice memories though.
Take about the ventilation at the new hawker centers. The massive fans are constantly blowing the hot air down causing a sauna effect. I think medium fans are better.
I believe our projects are done for us and our future generations. That the investments are made for its citizens current and future. We are not competing with others but to secure our lives. That our neighbours and others around the world have been copying us is comforting to know that we somehow helped them in some way.

The distance between skyscrapers are 30 meters all around it, with trees thriving on concrete cubic boxes of 3 x 3 x 3 meters for each tree, complete with auto watering with vitamins. These concrete cubes for trees are flush on the floor so that people can't see them, only the trees. Hundreds of parks, huge malls, millions of restaurants, thousands of hotels, several thousands of factories using all electric and of course thousands of high tech hospitals. All vehicles will be full electric, non-electric vehicle are not allowed. Many swimming pools, basketball, tennis, football courts, and many sports venues. Hundreds of entertainment arenas. It will have airport for helicopters or any vertical take off planes. Flood will be the thing in the past. This will be finished in 2035.

Most countries are planning to build subway, underground cities, which are more expensive, very difficult to build and very dangerous to maintain. This concept is the solution for coming severe flooding in many cities around the world, such as Metro Manila, Jakarta Indonesia, Venice Italy (already flooded long time ago), Norway cities, and many countries.
