Oh dear....How ever will they do it? Sounds like an insurmountable task!! Especially considering that in addition to all the impossible challenges they've created, it's all UPSIDE DOWN too!!
If shanghai bejjing built 1000 km metro rail tokyo total rail network 3500 km seoul also has 1000 km network nothing is impossible though East Asian countries are crazy subway makers Australia will do just fine
As construction projects go, this one is pretty ballsy! So many obstacles to work out. Extremely tight spaces, endless safety concerns. Next generation train tech. This one has it all and then some. Good effort by all to get it done though and ensure Sydney is fit for the future.
Very, very interesting. A project that will transform Sydney for the next 200 years. Bigger and more grand than London's ambitious and difficult Crossrail or one American city's transport system that I forget the location of. I just wish my adopted country of Portugal had such vision whilst trying to decide where to site its new Lisbon airport.
Wonderful is only here you gonna see mamath projects like this, only Europe, but we dream of this in Africa one-day.. love u this channels watching from Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Africa has mega projects, not as many sure but look at the Ethiopian Dam project, or even Nigerias plan to turn their coastal area into a whole new city, built from out of the water up.
If you didn't know it: but they are facing huge time pressure all the time and everything needs to be done ultra precisely with zero error or margin of tolerance and if only one guy misses a drop taking a piss - the whole thing will collapse and the world will come to an end :-)
Why would you load excavation material in trucks and sent them true traffic in the city, if you are excavating right next to a train track. Wouldn’t it be less disruptive for the city traffic to use rail to shunt your material in and out, in stead of road 🤷♂️
26 mins in to episode 1 and I'm seeing one clear difference with uk construction projects. No mention of delays No mention of over budget No mention of safety failings No mention of brexit or covid How sadly refreshing
As fascinating as this project is, I've stopped watching simply because of the endless suggestions of what might go wrong. Guys, these are professionals, they know what they're doing. Whoever thought presenting like this draws extra viewers? There is so much more interesting info that could've been talked about. Shame....
The good think about the Chinese is that they finish their profects ahead of time so the prize doesn't skyrocket unlike the uk when making a project like the new high speed line from London to Manchester that cost 40 billion pounds but because we add incompetent leader its now about double digits and they add to cut cost like some infrastructure projects was abolished because government doesn't have any money
Great Video, but Gloria, needs to go back and do her health and saftery course again, look at her long locks of hair swaying around in a building site, a disaster waiting to happen.... 9:45
What does the first man say ????Nobody ever embarked on the scala of what we're doing here? The canal, the Gothart and Istanbul???? Nothing special about it.
It's an interesting engineering program but the narration! THE NARRATION CAN ONLY BE DESCRIBED AS OVERACTING! AT ITS FINEST!!! IN THE WORLD! EVER! (DRAMATIC MUSIC WORTHY OF A HORROR FILM). I wish I could turn off the narrator and watch thru subtitled or else have this dubbed by someone who isn't overacting
Love episodes like these
Love from Zimbabwe
Brilliant. Looking forward to ep 2!
My first time in the channel, and what do I find, an amazing documentary series. Awesome 👍
I love this documentary

At 49:00 when Isabelle enters the wall it's video montage it's fake. Adjust the playback speed to 0.25 and zoom at the letters RT
I am truly facinated by this amount of work that it is coordinated like and carried out like a puzzle. 🫣😬🤩🤩
Cool
Lots of work for people
Oh great, drama documentary. No need for the sound effects this is interesting enough by it's self.
I didn't even know Australia had trains, I figured everyone rode around on kangaroos or in Maloos. /s
I thought they were all in four by fours on 37 inch tires

At times like these that working men are in their element and are truly appreciated. No matter what the feminist will have you believe.
❤🇱🇨!!! #brilliant
Wondered why they didn’t remove tunnel spoil by rail instead of trucks? This must have been considered.

👍👍
top notch presentation - really enjoyed it
Interesting documentary but would be more enjoyable without all the unnecessary dramatic effects
It's near perfect mate. I bet you're single.
@@tristanpatterson3843you should have added an emoji....for dramatic effect😅
It is an interesting documentary but the narrator is a little over dramatic at times.

Same thing happened in Cincinnati for basically the same reasons as for the abandoned subway

Still the UK
Silly, shouty, over-machismo VO -- "tough, getting things done agains the odds etc. etc." too much for a documentary, it sounds like a movie promo.

That would be shameful because that is what the Chinese would have done😂😂❤
To much false jeopardy.
Chinese troll

lose the endless background music, just tell the story
By the time the tunnel is done Hawaii is still building there rail 😂😂😂😂
When the $$$ are not a problem....
12 building destroyed when the is a huge park over the road
No one from Norway on this project??

Stop making it sound impossible! This is this big or this is this difficult bla bla! Stop!
Continued Sea level rise......below sea level train station....very very optimistic....hmmm
😂😂😂 Thanks,China for TBMs ! ! !

You're lucky that Dan's not in charge.
I love how they all think a metro will end traffic congestion. So naive.
Don’t you guys have a rat problem. Not a good idea your just adding more rats nest
First person
nice
"First" comments are stupid.
@@jdbrady1977Look at me look at me, I'm first 🙄 but nothing about the actual video to say.
I wants to relocate from Ghana to Australia and seek asylum there. Any help?
Yes. You could apply for an adviser job to the Snowy 2 boring mess up 😂😂❤
So UK, US, France, Germany and Italy are around the world? Just 5 countries? 😂😂😂
Geographically speaking those countries are around the world. So…….
