Do you think Singapore has a big impact to the world?
Singapore is a big country ofcourse it will enter G20 soon
@@CatErpillar618no, Singapore is so small , nobody cares, and there's no Singaporean person in real life.
Yes, a fine example of good governance for other countries to see and learn. China learned from Singapore and has progressed to a world's economic power.
No
Yes. As a Malaysian Chinese, I have witnessed the brain drain of my nations' many under appreciated commie comrades move to socialist Singapura!
Professor Albert Winsemius, Dutch and UN economist, who guided and planned modern Singapore's economic growth from 1961-1984 should be congratulated also. His lessons and foresights were taken to heart and acted on by PM Lee Kuan Yew and Goh Keng Swee, minister for Finance.
SG is better of after 2000 - No Goh Keng Swee around.
Yes.. Singapore is always indebted to Albert Winsemius.

The first two countries in the list of GDP per capital, Norway and Qatar, are oil producing countries.
america, canada, Mexico, brazil and china are all top 10 oil producing nations
And Singapore is an Oil proccessing country.
Singapore is nothing more than a mediocre middleman between China and the West, just like Hong Kong and Macau. Their so-called economic success is nothing but a facade.
Clear example that you don't know what you're talking about
Qatar is not known for oil
@@noorulhasan4904 known for oil and gas. not a big difference
Singapore's economic strategy is indeed fascinating. Their focus on regional investments and stability rather than the volatile US market makes a lot of sense. It's like playing chess, not checkers, with long-term gains in mind. 🇸🇬💼
Singapore GDP per capita - 84k USD. Japan/Taiwan/S Korea - 33k USD.
Well...Singapore was USA biggest Investor before. Imagine a tiny country were many countries biggest investors. Incredible.
China, India, Indonesia and Vietnam.
Indians are learning.
They go to Singapore 😂
They sure are.. learning about the sheer corruption and mismanagement of the modi regime, and leaving for greener pastures like Canada and Singapore
Even the Grab food delivery, goods delivery, pte hire vehicles people make sgd5-10k per mth!.
That's not accurate. You make it sound that every grab driver earns that amount. Its the outliers that make that amount.
Stop lying bruh that's not true at all

Also a police state like China
@@kstephenson9465oh puhleeeze. It’s not North Korea. If people don’t like it, they can leave. Singaporeans travel a lot. They know what life is in other countries. Good education gives many Singaporeans the chance to migrate. Not so many choose to leave. So not as much of a police state as you think
@@lamdao1242it still is a police state but not too bad i guess i mean public gathering are pretty much illegal

Asia's people very hardworking
Not the Filipinos. If they are hardworking, today they will be like Singapore.
That is how US companies and investors exert their influences to capture the market in Asia, go through Singapore. Japan, a country that has 10 times GDP of Singapore, 25 times the population, only creates 500,000 jobs in America via investment. Singapore created 250,000 jobs in America via investment. One order to Boeing in first Trump administration is 15 billion and during 08 crisis, our two sovereign funds spent 500 billion to support BOA and Citi Bank but US broke her promise of TPP and withdrew.
Typical self serving sinkies. 😅
Actually it is good for other TPP countries that trump withdrew from the TPP.
Is there a need to have 5 decimal places for that percentage GDP graph? Looks so dumb
The reason Singapore does not invest in the U.S. is that of concerns about market volatility and geopolitical risks, as well as a preference for opportunities within the region that align with its long-term economic strategy. Thank me later 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Singapore is the largest Asian investor in the United States
Singapore buys a ton of treasuries. Which it wouldn’t if they are really that concerned with the geopolitical situation.
Thank you for the incorrect information!
Singapore is the funder for the F-15EX engine
How much of the DFI is laundry money?
You're obviously not an economist
When will The Philippine GDP overtake Singapore?
Never, Philippines too corrupt and no discipline
2500
When the Philippines gets rid of corruption.
@astakonaaves8029 probably NEVER.
When their biggest export isn’t their people as domestic helpers in other countries, they can be successful if they invest in their people to become highly skilled, in demand workforce, this is what Singapore did
Please do not by misled and fooled by GDP and GDP per capita. GDP can be manipulated by overstating/understating the prices of products/services. Cost of living is the real representation of living standards, NOT GDP per capita.

If you calculate the money they have poured into Vietnam since 2010 till now you will be impressed. They are so rich they need to spend or invest their money fast because one day of delay is a day of loss interest.
SG is slowly evolving to an elitist nation whereby the low income single elderlies work till death and most often die alone in their small rented flats.

You dun need a car in Singapore

From the data shows, 574 billion over 2.6 trillion.
Does it mean US own 22‰ of Singapore asset.???
You can also check Singapore's investment to US and China. Does that mean Singapore own US and China?
@Nick-pc9tf that is the same question i Wonder.
Frankly speaking, i really don't know.
And the foreigners there is favourite among bosses than locals
singapore like middleman doing bussiness
Well, the cost of living in Sg is insanely high.. We look rich on paper only..
Like if you want to own a car , go frequent holidays and essentially live beyond your means ? I make 3.2k a month.. Live very very well cos I dun own a car , buy overpriced branded goods and services, live and paid off a humble 4 room hdb flat ... Healthcare n education are affordable... So BB what's expensive for you ?

Also the pressure faced by the Opposition Parties in wanting to obtain a better life for all Singaporeans.
Thank you very much for reading my prompt !

Bear in mind that it was Narendra Modi, touted as the "most popular leader/Prime Minister of the World" by Indians (India), that proclaimed to the entire world that:
*"The 21st century belongs to India"*
*"India has become a space superpower"*
*“India is today the fastest growing major economy in the world"*
*"India is the voice/leader of the global south"*

You should go and see Taiwan's financial strength measure in terms of freedom of speech and Malaysia's growth and you will know how much stronger than Singapore they are.
malaysias growth? go and see videos on anwar performance. How much debt he is piling on the economy. And also take note the recent studies on how very few malaysians can afford to retire...
