Beautiful autumn colors! Here in Finland the winter came early, suddenly in the beginning of November. Almost all trees froze, dropping no leaf to the ground. We still have snow covered appletrees with all the leaves still on them.
It’s always so interesting to see you work! You are a great inspiration to many people.
    Great Cedar forest!❤

Here in the US the Blue Atlas cedar (from Morocco originally) is very popular. Lovely tree.

I have not seen anything like this before and I am so intrigued. So unusual and wonderful to look at. This forest is so wonderful.

I've seen bamboo staves used for shaping garden trees in China and Japan but I had not seen it used in miniature for bonsai before. Interesting idea.

Your way for mesh is cool. What works for you is what you go by. Everyone has their own way of doing mesh. Sometimes I just use un-milled sphagnum moss on the bottom after wetting it good. Also works.

I love this channel. Peter has a great way of talking about bonsai, incredible depth of knowledge but also straightforward.

    Good evening Peter,
Beautiful concept of choosing the different size of the tree to give it some dimension.
Wanted to wish you and your family a Blessed Christmas Season.
    God bless.

Thank you Peter and Josh. A very timely video. I've just managed to find a Blue Atlantic Cedar seedling to start as a bonsai. About 2 years old and about 9 inches high so its got a way to go yet. Have a good Christmas Hols and all the best for the New Year.

I have a larch forest, but I would like to try my hand at a blue cedar forest. I just need to get a few zones farther south to locate them. Spring trip. Happy Christmas

I love this idea and I'm so surprised you can do this in a shallow pot. Are there other types of trees you could do this with too? Love your videos!
