You’re right that it is your collection so to each their own but if I had all those figures I would focus on trimming the fat (weaker less desirable figures) which is about 40% for me and then concentrate on your poses and positioning. Your collection could be amazing (which I’m sure you think is) but when I say amazing I mean one of the best on UA-cam. Please don’t take any offence.

I love watching big collection videos like these. I would definitely be more minimalistic if I collected Hot Toys, but like you said, this is your collection and it’s how you want it to be

Is there a way you can mitigate mold if you're storing your boxes on top of the shelf? I don't have enough space in my house to store those beautiful collection boxes. I don't want to trash them either, I would rather keep them, but I'm afraid it will get mold anytime soon, any suggestion would help

What got you into collecting. How do you keep your collection dust free I’m a New York giants collector so the only toys I have in my collection are funko pops of giants players and I have some starting lineup figures of New York giants players from the 80’s. I keep all my funkos and starting lineup figures in the box.
I've collected since I was around 5 ... but Hot Toys was from doing Photography. They were a lot of fun to play with. My cabinets are fairly dust proofed so that works for me
Not in it to sell and make money. But I think it’s highly unrealistic to expect to get what you paid for it-depending on the figure and the make. Mezco’s and Mafex’s you can sell close to retail but Hot Toys not so much. They are already too expensive. But again it depends on the character.
Where does collecting specific characters/series end, and, collecting everything just to have a huge collection start? Where’s the line between collecting what you love and collecting to impress? You’re a content creator, so you’re under different circumstances. But for the layman collector?
Fair question - and perhaps i can explain better in a video. As I've stated before , I've collected something since I was 5 and I always had a "completionist" mindset and have always wanted full lines. Even if I stopped making videos, I'd still collect and have a lot of them. But that's just me -- for the "average" person though, it really comes down to personal taste I think. Some people like clean, well posed displays - others like a large group. So whatever YOU like, decide and STICK TO IT. I def am going to need to explain further in a video lol. How are the acrylic pieces mounted? Are they magnetic? Did your acrylics provider add magnets? Is it pretty dust proof? I have a Moducase but I need to add more and I’m not confident in being able to make these look as good as yours turned out.
It's magnetic tape applied around the acrylic. I added vinyl borders around the piece (hardest part honestly) and then added the magnet tape. And yes, it's about 90% dust proof. Pop Culture Living Room and Posing with Peter are the tutorials I followed
Well I wasn’t sure about the change as you had one of the best remaining detolf collections in the community but it’s time to move forward. The finished look is amazing much more crisp and clean looking than I anticipated. Great work keco !!!

I have purchased almost 1/3 of my entire collection off eBay. If you can get a good deal, the seller is always the beneficiary. If you are stateside, DO NOT buy from overseas. You will regret it. Try local comic shops and see if they ship (or visit them)

Great collection update Keco! I’m actually surprised you don’t have a Wonder Woman or Superman in your collection! But it looks like you’re just sticking with Batman when it comes do DC which I can respect. I mostly have Batman figures (for my DC collection that is) and only have the WB100 Wonder Woman as the other DC hero at the moment. But I do have the Superman from InArt on preorder, and The Flash from the new film. That’s as far as I’m going into other DC properties. Can’t wait to see how your collection evolves!

I actually don't mind the density so long as it's enjoyed. Good mixture of vehicles, scales and posing. Ghostbusters is still fantastic but the Back to the Future and Batman (Tumble, Batpod, Armory, Signal; all great) displays look great to me with the vehicles being available for viewing as well.
Bro, why is the Solo Patrol Trooper in your bottom shelf with "less desirable" figures? That's a grail and one of the best trooper designs on screen ever!

Awesome video though, I've just ordered myself a couple of moducases. I have a real dilemma though as I already have a few PO I'm waiting on. But also some figures I still want and need 😬. A Thanos is a must for me, I was thinking the endgame battle damaged, would you recommend otherwise?
@@danjames4606 there are some that don't like it, but I really like the BD endgame version. I wish I could find just the headsculpt from that one. The best version is probably infinity war, but endgame is pretty cool.

Happy New Year Keco! It looks amazing! There's something appealing to the eye with the "cube" spaces of detolf cause it looks curated in a way. BUT the space you get by using a makeshift moducase is what I absolutely love. Especially if you want to do teams like you said.

I actually went from 6 inch to Hot Toys back to 6 inch because I missed the hunt and now I’ve swung back to Hot Toys haha. Don’t know if I want to sell the 6 inch or try to find a way to make both work. Very tough to collect both, so I will most likely lock into Sixth Scale since they are my favorite.

Dehumidifier I suppose? Unless you have a humid environment and moisture gettin in them, I don't see it being a problem

I actually don't mind the density so long as it's enjoyed. Good mixture of vehicles, scales and posing. Ghostbusters is still fantastic but the Back to the Future and Batman (Tumble, Batpod, Armory, Signal; all great) displays look great to me with the vehicles being available for viewing as well.

Bro, why is the Solo Patrol Trooper in your bottom shelf with "less desirable" figures? That's a grail and one of the best trooper designs on screen ever!

Love all the figures man. Sure some cases look a little cluttered but nonetheless this is an awesome collection. Basically all my favorite shows and movies. I wish I could afford this kind of collection really looks awesome ! Happy new year brother !

Awesome video though, I've just ordered myself a couple of moducases. I have a real dilemma though as I already have a few PO I'm waiting on. But also some figures I still want and need 😬. A Thanos is a must for me, I was thinking the endgame battle damaged, would you recommend otherwise?
@@danjames4606 there are some that don't like it, but I really like the BD endgame version. I wish I could find just the headsculpt from that one. The best version is probably infinity war, but endgame is pretty cool.
@@KeCoCollects you're right the headsculpt is the seller for EG BD. The only reason I don't like the clean endgame one is the inaccurate gauntlet. So think it's either infinity war or EG BD for me. What's your top 3 Marvel figures?

I followed Pop Culture Living Room and Posing with Peter tutorials. But I'm happy to provide what I used -- most came from Amazon, including the lights. Shelves were from Lowe's
Happy New Year Keco! It looks amazing! There's something appealing to the eye with the "cube" spaces of detolf cause it looks curated in a way. BUT the space you get by using a makeshift moducase is what I absolutely love. Especially if you want to do teams like you said.
That was my goal- and I think we got there :)

Love it brother! Looks 🔥 and so much more space. I’m a fan of your Detolf display, but with how large your collection got this is the only logical evolution. I think we all go from book cases to detolfs to custom displays eventually 😂
I actually went from 6 inch to Hot Toys back to 6 inch because I missed the hunt and now I’ve swung back to Hot Toys haha. Don’t know if I want to sell the 6 inch or try to find a way to make both work. Very tough to collect both, so I will most likely lock into Sixth Scale since they are my favorite.
I remember the hunt... it used to be fun lol. Then I got mad that I'd miss some - so I went to 1/6 and started missing those exclusives 😂
