"There's no reason to gatekeep with collecting." Right on! You have a sub for the duration because of that attitude. And your videos are fantastic. Take care.
For real, no reason for it at all. We’re all in the hobby together, so I’m open to any and all questions. Thank you for watching and sorry for catching this so late. I appreciate you, Steve! 🙏🏼🔥
Your displays have an extremely classy and professional aesthetic mate. Just superb. I just tend to chuck my figures onto a shelf but you clearly spend a great deal of time perfecting the look and telling a story with each shelf. Phenomenal work my friend! Happy New Year and all the best to you both for 2024 🙏🏻👊🏻
It was a long time coming, that's for sure. I think it's another beauty in collecting that would allow me to view my figures differently. It isn't just the piece, but the piece in the display, under the right lighting, around other figures in a room that I love walking in. That and I do enjoy designing my spaces, lol! Your space is also awesome though! I'm sure at some point you'll change everything up, but in due time. Even if you never do, your room is specific to you and that’s all that matters. Wish I had that 1/4th Boba Fett you have that’s for sure, haha! Thanks for watching man! Here's to an awesome 2024 and looking forward to your content in the New Year!
This collection room tour is a perfect balance between lifestyle and the beloved collectibles we all enjoy. I am amazed by your thought process in how you chronologically display your Star Wars Hot Toys and your other collectibles to tell a story. You have a great eye for style and detail, which really elevates your collection.
And THAT’S exactly how I wanted it! It’s a rough balance sometimes, because it’s so easy to lean into more collectibles. One of the reasons why planning for something like this is good. Thanks man! I find that it keeps it fresh for me and allow me to view my figures differently. Even better if they’re in the same era too. Appreciate you for watching and taking the time out to comment. 🙏🏼🍻
@@BostonCollectors this collection looks great keep going here’s my own collection tour ua-cam.com/video/YtnbnuFyyfA/v-deo.htmlsi=trji323UPjZagxqy if you want to check it out. Great collection man
@BostonCollectors - Jonathan, Happy New Year 🙏🏻👊🏻, bruddah! As always you didn't miss a beat on your latest Collection Tour: '23. I love your technique all around. Simply beautiful, my friend... pure class, indeed! Best Regards, Ben G. / your N.Y. neighbor
Ayyyeeee, Happy New Year Ben! Hopefully we didn't have too many Bostonians out there getting too rowdy in the city. Thank you and thank you watching! If I can manage it this year, the next tour should pretty awesome with the upgrades I have in mind. Thanks again! Johnathan / Your M.A Neighbor
@@BostonCollectors Johnathan, just keep doing what you do, and remember, "Make To Day Your Masterpiece and Than Some 🕊❤️🫡" ~ Ben a.k.a. HAWK 😎 / your NY neighbor 👍🏾
Your collection is epic. Love how you played with the shadows for some pieces. I think if you could have a couple figures with their lightsabers ignited it would take it over the top. I once saw some custom ones that even had light and it looked superb.
Thanks, José! If I could manually change the lighting in the display I would. Spotlights for me would be better, but that’s an undertaking of it's own. Have to make due with what I have. Lightsabers would be cool, but the problem for me is I don't light the ones Hot Toys make. Every once in a while I'll ose a figure with them and it doesn’t sell it for me. I'd love the custom ones, but those are equal to the price of a Hot Toy and I can't make the move because it doesn't make sense to me. Wish I could rig it up myself though, but maybe one day I'll learn. Thanks for watching!
Incredible setup, collection and workspace. Oh man do I miss working from home, but in the era of layoffs gotta do what gotta do to stay creative and pay bills and collect. Your wife is gold too hang on to that one!
Thank you, thank you. 🙏🏼 Yeah, I didn’t realize I was considered lucky since working from home seemed to be the new normal, but if it weren’t, I know I’d have to go out too. 😰 Stay on the safe side of those layoffs man, they’re brutal. She’s definitely a gem, lucky to have her! 😄 Thanks for watching!
Poses really make a difference in how a display stands out and I did not find any flaws in yours! Your office is my goal/dream, congratulations and thanks for sharing.
Appreciate that, Ace! Thank you! Took loads and loads of planning and patience. Still lots to do, but that require money that Sally Mae won't allow me to keep. In due time! Thank you for watching and I appreciate you for taking the time to comment! 🙏🏻😄
You have the absolute finest collection room tour vid. Your voice over detailing why you grouped the figure as you did was outstanding. Your displays are the classiest I've seen and I've seen a great many fine collections on UA-cam. Bravo!
Thank you! It adds a different level of play to the collection for me and I enjoy creating storylines with them. That usually come at a time when I want a new figure, so I head in the room and start mapping out ideas. 😅 Thank you again, Rodney! 🙏🏻
I can easily say this is the best and the most thorough room tour I’ve seen. The attention to detail going over not only the figures but the room itself it outstanding. The attention to detail shows how thought out this presentation was and it shows. Superb work and the final project is nothing short of flawless. Amazing job 🤙🫡
That means a lot, thank you! It’s a great feeling when people understand the work that goes into it. Makes it feel like it was worth it! Over 250GBs of footage too, talk about hell on the computer, haha! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for taking the time out to watch. 40 minutes is a tough ask, but thank you. Looking forward to yours in the next couple of days! 🎉🙏🏼
What up doe! Now that's how you present a phenomenal room tour!! From the computer setup to all the wall candy! Then, there's the absolutely brilliant figure displays. Bro, that's one impressive tour!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
What up doe! 🙏🏼🔥 I was just talking to my step father recently about how I miss the random interactions from Detroit. You don’t get that out this way in Boston. I appreciate that man, thank you! Took a lot of preplanning and allowing myself to have as much wiggle room as possible later on. If you’re ever planning, drop me a line if you need assistance! Thanks for watching brother! 🙏🏼🍻🔥
Out of all the collection tours I have loathed and fawned over, this one has got to be my most beloved. I love a good action pose as much as the next guy, but it’s incredibly difficult to deny the class of simplistic poses and your ability to display the features of these figures. Your attention to detail is truly spectacular and those customs are quite impressive as well. Truly an amazing video and collection, congrats.
Thank you! Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things if we can. I do miss it from to time. 😅 Thank you for taking the time out to watch! 🙏🏼🍻
Appreciate you, Dan & Dre, that means a lot! 🙏🏼🔥 Happy New Year to you both and your loved ones. Keep it up with the awesome content too, you’re killin’ it! 🔥🔥🔥
Been waiting for this one for a year! Absolutely loved the video. Great way to end the year. May 2024 bring you both a lot of positivity, love and health!🍾🥂
Thank you so much! I’ve already made several changes, so I already can’t wait for the next one. Just need a break after all the editing, lol! 😭 Appreciate you for watching! 🙏🏼🔥
Wonderful collection! Glad to be a part of this community, the pose with Tarkin in front of the Coruscant Guards was a great posing idea, didn’t even think of that. Love how you are able to meld the multiple eras of Star Wars together! Thanks a bunch!
Thank you, Gerg! It’s awesome having you part of the community. 😄 The Tarkin pose might not work for sticklers because of his age and rank, but you can fudge the line and make it work for sure. That’s where the fun is in the collection anyway, right? We get to make our own stories and keep it interesting. 😄🙏🏼 Thank you for taking the time out to watch. Pushing out a 40 minute video was a tough ask for people to get through, so thank you again! 🍻🙏🏼🙏🏼
If I weren’t so burned out it would’ve been a lot different, but I’m not 100%. Thank you though man, I really appreciate it! 🙏🏼 Thanks for watching my dude! Hopefully they drop that N-1 you’ve been praying for. 😂
Wow !!! Very nice, incredible setup bro !! Always nice to see Awsome content like yours !! Can’t wait for new videos and posing from you !! Happy new year buddy and keep your awesome work 👌🏻👊🏻
I appreciate that, thank you! Still quite a bit to, but we’ll get there. Doors, room lighting, possible radiator swap out… have to see what I’m able to do for this year 😅 Thanks for watching and we’ll try to get back to creating content for you all! 🙏🏼🔥🔥
@@etiennemorrissette5500 I was, but something about them make me think otherwise. The back part and the shelving being enclosed makes it feel more like a dungeon of toys to me. If I did, I’d have to modify them with glass. I’m a bit particular in that respect, lol!
An inspiring setup.Superbly done.I'm in transition with my collection and looking for a way to display the figures I have. This video has given me some great ideas. Why have you not used the lightsaber blades on the figures. Is it for space reasons?
Thank you and I'm happy to be of some inspiration. If I were to add one minute change, I think I would've tried walnut art frames to tie back to the walnut desk and accents. Having black frames on a black wall was probably the worst decision I made, but it's hard to say. To answer your question, it depends on the mood and the pose for me. Using the Ahsoka, Luke and Mando shelf (34:35) as an example, I feel Luke and Ahsoka are a bit more poised than Mando. Having them in a ready stance with unlit hilts felt more akin to the calm levelheaded behavior of their training versus Mando armed and ready with a knife because of his bounty hunter past. It's also due to space, being 100% honest. But my explanation allow me to pose my figures in a way where I can use the lit blades depending on the poses.
I was just thinking about moving the Transport Troopers along, but after posing them I figured they can stay longer, lol! The Purge Troopers are awesome, I almost wish I had 2 more. Just weird how loose some of the parts are is all. 🤔 Thanks! And thanks for watching! 🫡
@@BostonCollectors i need another purge trooper bad, and yea the armor is really loose, i think it’s because they tried putting the thicker fbfx armor on one of their regular clone bodies, funny enough the reasons the thigh plates aren’t loose is because they’re from the original clone, weird since the 501st has new thighs
I was completely wowed through the whole video. 😮 Amazing work as always! Your attention to detail whether through each figure, camera angle, or effects always manages to blow me away. Loved how you added the graphics with sound when discussing a figure. Really helped the mood and kept me engaged. Reminded me of the Spider-Man Miles Morales game with the text bubbles. Great job!!! 👏🏼🤘🏼
This means a lot, thank you! 😭😭😭 I could've saved time and cut a lot of corners, but it doesn't speak to my near perfectionist trait (which i've tried hard to suppress over the years) and my need to up the bar each time. It's extremely rare for people to catch all of those subtle details and share them. For some reason I find enjoyment when all of them are caught, and you did! As you mentioned, each time something popped up I wanted it to have purpose and add to the tour rather than distract. I had to reel in a few ideas because it could've been a bit of a sensory overload and a longer workflow. Here's to next year though! Thank you for watching and thank you for making my morning, Docta! 😄🍻
Dude your videos are 2nd to NONE!! I love the style of your videos, and the way you explain things as you go. Your set up is absolutely peak. I got myself a camera and a laptop and I'm going to try and make videos myself. Your style and type of videos inspired me more than any others.
Thank you, Kevin! I try my best. I also like narrative driven content and hearing how people come up with things, so I try to tie that into what I'm doing as best I can. I can get a little long winded, which is why I have to take the extra step and write out a script, lol! Good luck with the content! Lighting is your best friend, so I'd say grab at least 2-3 travel sized lights (I personally use Elgato Keylight Minis). Don't stress too much about lenses just yet. A kit lens will get you through for a while until you can get something really good! Excuse the unsolicited advice if you don't care for it. I'm happy to hear I inspire anyone to do something cool, and I'm sure you'll do something HELLA cool! Thanks for watching! 😄🙏🏻
I cant express how much I love your whole display! Everything is so perfectly arranged and posed. All of it is so elegant! I'm an OT guy primarily so I've passed on quite a bit of those figures you have due to feeling "meh" about them. I have to admit that I envy every single shelf you've shown due to your tasteful creativity in presentation! Great stuff!!!
Thank you, that's great to hear! I still go back every once in a while to change up posing and adjust things, but I think that's a good problem to have. Keeps it fresh! 😄 I feel that way about some of the OT figures, but not all of them. Just hard to squeeze into my collection at the moment, but I'd love Hoth Leia for example! Maybe one day though... Thanks for watching! 😄🙏
Absolutely stunning collection. So many amazing displays here. I’m tempted to pick up a chrome helmet for my durasteel mando too, or at least the one that came with the re-release. The thing stopping me is genuinely that I’d have to break his pose to switch the head out lol
Thank you! Looks like I’ll need a bigger room after Hot Toys teaser more Star Wars pieces though, haha! The Chrome helmet is a great change, but I feel the armor require a different paint application to tie it together sometimes. I get not wanting to do it because of the pose though, I’m guilty of that too. 😭 Thanks for watching, Norsky! 😄🙏🏼🍻
Thank you! Slow and steady wins the race. It takes a while to get a space the way you want it, but I find planning it out while saving up helps tremendously. Here's to your future space! Thank you for taking the time out to watch, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Happy New Year to you! 🙏🏻
Thank you, Noah! I'd like to spend more time on the desk area and talk about why I use what I use, but our niche audience skips it HARD, lol! Appreciate you for watching and thanks for subscribing! 🍻🙌🏼
Thank you! If you'd like to see more, I put a video together showing the lighting installation here: ua-cam.com/video/dw8gmMR_ixc/v-deo.htmlsi=mm9nEV2HzduxuY6K
Exquisite taste on your setup and the fantastic poses/curation of figures. The only thing I would recommend is trying to get a longer pair of robes for the Tusken Raiders. The robe length Hot Toys provided us with just didn't sit right with me personally so before I ever bought the figure I bought robes that were a more accurate length and weathered. Congrats again on such a clean configuration for your office/collection room.
Thank you, thank you. 🙏🏼 Yeah, I can see the robe annoying collectors. I have my gripes with some of the pieces too like that, but it doesn’t bug me too much to buy new ones. I’ve seen them upgraded though and they really nice. 🔥 Appreciate you for taking the time out to watch and comment, thanks! 🙏🏼🔥
Fantastic collection! May I ask, what print is the image of Anakin that you feature on the poster at the beginning and as your phone Lock Screen? The one with the dark side eyes and hood up. Thanks.
I absolutely love the aesthetics's of your collection! I love that each Detolf tellstells a story! I really want to try the no stand approach because of how clean it makes the display look, but I'm to chicken not to have the stability of the stands. I'm looking to upgrading mine to custom stands
Thank you so much, Kirbaybey! It's a delicate balance that I try not to disrupt. Can't have too much black or overdo it with the walnut colors. That'll end up being the death of the room if I do. 😭 That's what I enjoy about Detolf units so much! Each cube can act as a story, memory or moment in Star Wars versus a long wide open moducase. No offense to those collectors, I've seen it work for a lot of them. I just don't know if I can make something like that work for me. They're extremely dark and they feel hollow and claustrophobic whereas Detolfs allow for the space to feel open due to the glass. Both have their pros and cons, but I love the Detolfs more, haha! I've seen some really cool custom stands recently by an artist. The stand is hidden behind the leg while the crotch holder is in place but out of sight. Custom stands would be a good call though regardless if you like a uniform look! Excuse the long drawn out response. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year! 😄
Your setup is real crispy buddy. I'm not really a Star wars fan but I can appreciate your attention to detail of tying it all together with your figures. I think I've asked you this before, how did you get rid of your accent? If I didn't know your name was Boston collectors I would never know that you're from Massachusetts 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Go ahead and watch any one of my videos and I'm not even from the city of Boston. Just north of Boston. But I have a thick Bostonian accent 💯💯🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing your awesome setup 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏻🙌🏻🍻🍻
Thank you, thank you. 🙏🏼 Ah, so I’m not from this way. I was born and raised in Detroit, but wife was born and raised out here in the city. So when I met my wife I came out this way to be with her. We both collect and we’re both in Boston, so the name kind of came up that way. 😅 What’s interesting though is I only find the accent in pockets of Boston. I thought everyone had it! 😭 My wife doesn’t even have the accent which I thought was strange, but the second I head out to Chelsea… it’s eeeeeverywhere! Appreciate you for taking time out to watch, Mike! 🙏🏼😄🍻
My first Hot Toy that i bought from my local Collectors shop that did in fact bought them from Side Show just to make a little profit i decided out of 15 different hot toys that displayed i decided to go for none other than Jango Fett Himself.
Jango is a great pick! The wife talked me into getting that one because I loved the clones so much. He came with a lot pf accessories too, which made it fun. Congrats on getting him!
Thank you. You gave me alot to think about showing your collection. I might buy Boba in his Empire Version and have them stand side by side back to back. Kinda like with you having boba on his thrown and Jango behind him. But other than that. I love the video keep up the good work and May The Force Be With You.
Thank you! There’s still quite a bit to do, but the economy is whack-a-dick’n me right now. Best thing we can do is have fun with what we got. 😎 Thanks for watching and Happy New Year to you and your peoples! 🔥🙏🏼🍻
So Sick!! Im not a huge SW fan, but once I started to watch Mandalorian i was HOOKED!! But for me its LOTR, and i saw they made some figures, one of these days ill buckle down lol.
Thank you, thank you! Yeah, I ended up getting burnt out due to work mainly. I stretched myself a bit too thin and just needed to take a break. We'll try to get back into it though. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! And yeah, it takes quite a while and no other hobbies, that’s for sure. 😭 I’m lucky enough to say it’s my main hobby with a few art prints here and there. 4 will turn to 40 before you know it. 😂 Thanks for watching!
I've been saving this to watch on the big tv instead of my phone or the laptop. Great office and display. Hoping to take a few cues from it one day. Couple things: Did you mention the desk riser for the monitor? May have been in your previous tour. Also, I did custom "What If" Finn. In a different universe (a better one IMO), he's an Imperial Stormtrooper. I gave his helmet the signature bloody hand streaks. #justiceforfinn Killer set up Jonathan!!
Hahaha, that's when you know a video's worth it. 😭 Always a huge compliment for some reason. I just hope I didn't miss anything while editing since a lot of these TV screens are so massive these days. The Modular desk riser is from a company called Balolo. The only reason I didn't mention them was because my last run in with them wasn't so great. an "in-stock" item wasn't actually in stock and I had to wait a few weeks. They claimed they would ship my items express due to the wait and they didn't. Great products 100% (apart from the desk mat), but I didn't feel right promoting them in case that happened to someone else. Not to mention, a lot of people skipped the desk presentation in the last room tour, so I kept it brief this time. Niiiiiice! That What If Finn sounds awesome! We can only hope his character gets the respect he deserves later on because.... 😐 Appreciate you for taking the time out to watch such a long video and read a long ass comment. Thank you, Blitz!
@BostonCollectors The fact that you left a long reply is an honor for me! Also thanks for the info, as well as the heads up on their issues. I agree with you on Finn. I felt like his entire arc took a nosedive after starting out so promising. Had to create my own version and head Canon.
I’m not usually one to comment on videos but this is absolutely sensational! You should be really proud of what you’ve created. It’s brilliant! I understand if it’s not a route you’d like to go down but I’d love to see some original trilogy characters added in the future. Great job again😃
I’m the same way some times. Even worse if I’m watching on the TV while I work, lol! Thank you for taking the time out to comment though. It means a lot. 🙏🏼 There are very few pieces from the Original Trilogy that I’d like to have, but would make it harder to move around in the display. Hoth Leia is one I’d LOVE To have. Maybe one day. 😭 Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼🍻
Love this channel, your displays are next level. I have a question for you. Where's Lando brother?? Hope you and yours have a wonderful New Year and I'm looking forward to your 2024 content. Bless.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙏🏼 Lando’s a decent looking figure, but doesn’t fit into the collection for me unfortunately. I have to be selective with the space I have. 😄 Appreciate you for taking the time to watch and Happy New Year to you and yours too!
Awesome video dude, love the idea and story telling behind your display! Im curious as to why you have decided to not have any lightsabers ignited, would love to hear that thought
Thank you, thank you! Curating the display that way takes times, but it's fun and allow me to appreciate what I have even more. I have them ignited and changed up almost every other month before I decide to take them away. One of the reasons being I wish they actually appeared as sabers. Another reason being able to save space in the Detolfs. Actually, I have Lightside Anakin and Count Dooku with theirs ignited at the moment, but that may change. When the Super Battle Droids come in, I may or may not be able to keep Dooku that way, although I would like to. Thanks for watching man! 🙏🏻🍻
Thank you, Edward! So I did a video showing a quick overview of how I apply dust-proofing through weatherproof strips here: ua-cam.com/video/dw8gmMR_ixc/v-deo.html However I went into deeper detail a year ago showing how I do it here: ua-cam.com/video/n-O26coKYxo/v-deo.html The only time I'm really cleaning is if I open my cabinets too much to pose a figure, swapping figures around, or I notice a super thin coat of dusting that bothers me. When that happens I break out a handheld Swiffer Duster to clean the cabinets inside and out. Hope that helps!
Love your display and the way Every Part has a Story behind it i would really love to own the 501st Deluxe Figure but i really cant Aufford it i just started collecting 😁
Thank you! Its next level of fun after owning a figure for me. 😅 Telling a story and having it match the next display or shelf is a good bit of fun! The 501sts are good figures, but man I dislike the bodies for them. Hopefully you can find one at a good price later on. Thanks for watching!
Thank you, Paolo! It did take quite a bit of time, but it makes it that much better to watch. Rough to edit, but the payoff is hearing how much you all enjoyed the upload! 😄🙏🏻 I had to pick up 3 packs for my wall, but I grabbed them from Amazon: a.co/d/a6T1L47
Thank you, Israel! 😄🙌🏼 It's hard to say how I feel about the Pilots since they aren't specific to a battalion I have. I'd like one, but for the wrong reasons. It would be just say I have him. As for Snow Speeder Luke, its a pass for me. The wife's got him in her display though! 🔥 Thanks for taking the time out to watch!
We received a few requests for this, so I might just go ahead and do a video on how how I did it. I'll also add the parts and prices similar to how I did Plo Koon's. Stay tuned!
You would think those might have a baseline price, but I guess everything going up is the trend. I'd love to have more troopers, but the last best deal we've had in my opinion was the 501st Deluxe and standard 501st releases. Now? A clone can cost more with less accessories. 😵💫 Thanks for watching! 🙏
Thank you! Glad to be ranked higher up for displays. Feels great to have other collectors enjoy the space too. The frames are made from a company called "Frame-It-Easy". Here's a link to learn more: www.frameiteasy.com/r/nYWx You don't send in the print though, they ship you the frame you designed and you place it yourself.
Amazing! Tell me how did you make your Anakin CW custom? Is this the TMS020 body, with the Anakin ROTS clothes? But I tell you that the boots are the TMS020 too? Correct? Can you give me the details?
You’re pretty much right on the target! The TMS020 Body & Portrait are a must. No other body from previous Anakin releases will work in unison with the TCW portrait, unfortunately. All of the clothes are from the ROTS Anakin apart from the belt, boots and the left arm gauntlet. There’s no padding used on the body either. For better posing though on that left arm, I’d probably consider tailoring the shirt so that it poses better. It works, but dynamic poses are rough since the shirt sleeve is packed in. Could be slimmer in design. But that’s all! At that point it’s gathering all of the gloved hands you can since he kept a glove on his left hand. Thanks for watching! 😄🙏🏼
@@BostonCollectors ok thank you for all these details! So the belt is the TMS020 I guess? And you removed the padding on the torso of the TMS020 bodysuit, is that right? Or in clothes? I did not understand very well.
Not a problem! Correct! The belt, left gauntlet, boots, body and portrait are all TMS020. Yes, I also removed the torso padding on the TMS020 body. Far too bulky and it isn’t needed. 😄
Would you recommend the regular clone or the 501st (non deluxe version tho)? Got a choice between the 2 but really like being able to change the helmets with the regular plain one… are they the exact same apart from the paint job? I only have jango right now, so was thinking the reg with p1 helmet would be the most appropriate to get to make a nice ep2 display Thanks:)
Hands down the reg. The 501st is cool and all, but the posing is what limit them most. The ratcheted joints force you to play within boundaries whereas with the regular clones you don’t have to. Also, the reg feels great in hand! Whatever they did with the application, it works! 😄 Body, paint application and the backpack are the main differences between them (if compared to the standard 501st release). Regs also don’t have magnets in their back plate. Hope this helps! 🙏🏼🔥
I am stuck between Jango Fett and the Chrome clone for my first figure… jango is my favourite armour design but the clone is so cool. Do you have any recommendation?
Believe it or not, my wife talked me into picking up Jango Fett because of my love for the clones. I’m not a fan of Jango, but he is the reason why we have them, so I made the jump. As for the Chrome Clone, the value for what’s included in the box doesn’t match the expense of the figure. Those were also manually painted and came with varying defects per customer. Mine had debris under the armor and the sealant coat wasn’t applied correctly on the thigh piece. I was lucky enough to have that and the damaged helmet replaced. The chrome clone is a BEAUTIFUL figure though, and I absolutely love them. However, compared to Jango, they aren’t in the same race. You’ll have far more fun with Jango Fett because he comes with so many different accessories, a portrait/helmet swap out, and not to mention a canon character as well. Apologies for the long winded answer, but I hope it helps.
@@BostonCollectors thank you very much for your quick answer. I appreciate that your answer is long! I think for now I’m going to get jango, by the way, your collection is super cool!
All of my cabinets are called Detolfs, and they were produced by IKEA. They stopped making them though, unfortunately. Thank you so much, and I appreciate you watching! 🙏🏼🔥
Dang that's tough. He's the father of clones although he was on the Separatists side. He fought alongside the B1's... I'd vote the B1's personally. At least if you decide to get the Super Battle Droid later they might be sticking around a while. Hope this helps!
Fairly new to collecting, any other sites other than Sideshow, Pop collectibles and Toys wonderland to purchase legit 1/6 Scale figures? Any suggestions is welcomed, thanks !!!!!
Hey! Welcome to the hobby! PopCultcha is a great site to order from, although they’re based in Australia. Great folks over there. Other than them and Sideshow, I’d recommend checking out your local comic shop if you have any nearby. 🙏🏼🔥
There are a few options. I'm looking at either Yelena or Black Widow at the moment, but I don’t want to disrupt the height too much. It'll require a bit of research before I make the jump though.
@@BostonCollectors interesting, I have a solo BW figure and the figure seems much smaller than the one used for the Mandalorian females--height, bulk, etc. Let us know if you decide to go through with the swap. I have a Worldbox figure but the wrist and feet pegs don't fit HT hands and feet.
@@DarthMalaks_Missing_Lower_Jaw yeah, that’s exactly what I mean. Her body looks great in terms of posing, but I fear her overall height might not be right. Just need to research a bit more first. I’ll definitely let you all know what happens and how it play out. Bodies like the one you mention just make it more of a pain to pose and play with. I don’t want to use blue tack or some other crazy method to make it work, lol!
In your opinion. In my review I went over why he was ranked as poorly as he was. I could rip that figure apart all day. It was, in my opinion, the worst release I’ve picked up since collecting. In their defense, we got what was advertised. But what was advertised was the problem to begin with. Thanks for watching.
I got it from OrbitKey. They have 2 different variations, Obi-wan & Darth Vader. Worth checking out when they’re in stock! www.orbitkey.com/collections/all-collaborations/products/star-wars-orbitkey-desk-mat-darth-vader
They could attract a lot of dust if you don’t dust-proof your display. I made a video last month showing off a quick redo if you’re interested in checking it out.
Great collection man
Amazing video and collection room set up! Aesthetically pleasing! 🔥🤌🏻
Appreciate it, man! Thank you, thank you! 🙏🏼🔥🔥
15:00 I seriously cannot get over how cool and natural that pose is. Mando looks so cool!
I appreciate it! It's probably top 3 poses in my collection. I love the look of it! 🔥
@BostonCollectors - Jonathan, Happy New Year 🙏🏻👊🏻, bruddah! As always you didn't miss a beat on your latest Collection Tour: '23.
I love your technique all around. Simply beautiful, my friend... pure class, indeed!
Best Regards,

Ayyyeeee, Happy New Year Ben! Hopefully we didn't have too many Bostonians out there getting too rowdy in the city. Thank you and thank you watching! If I can manage it this year, the next tour should pretty awesome with the upgrades I have in mind.
Thanks again!

Amazing collection! Congrats.
Appreciate you, Rodrigo! 🙏
Yeah, I didn’t realize I was considered lucky since working from home seemed to be the new normal, but if it weren’t, I know I’d have to go out too. 😰 Stay on the safe side of those layoffs man, they’re brutal.
She’s definitely a gem, lucky to have her! 😄
Thanks for watching!
One of the neatest Hot Toys collection displays. Good job!
I appreciate you, Fletch! Thank you, thank you! 🙏
BEAUTIFUL!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! Amazing work 👏🏼 💙
Thank you, Danny! I appreciate you taking the time out to watch! 😄🙏
Classy & I like your taste 🎉
Thank you, Lee! 😄🙏🏻
Thank you again, Rodney! 🙏🏻
Amazing collection...congrats!!!
Thank you! And thank you taking the time to watch. 😄🙏🏼🔥
Very cool collection/ Display!.

Now that's how you present a phenomenal room tour!! From the computer setup to all the wall candy! Then, there's the absolutely brilliant figure displays. Bro, that's one impressive tour!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
What up doe! 🙏🏼🔥
I was just talking to my step father recently about how I miss the random interactions from Detroit. You don’t get that out this way in Boston.
I appreciate that man, thank you! Took a lot of preplanning and allowing myself to have as much wiggle room as possible later on. If you’re ever planning, drop me a line if you need assistance!
Thanks for watching brother! 🙏🏼🍻🔥
Beautiful displays and very creative posing and grouping of figures. My favorite has to be Lord Vader with the 501st troopers.
Thank you, Darth Tamarus! Given your profile photo, I wouldn't expect any other display to be your favorite, haha!
@@BostonCollectors Haha, yes that is true! Your channel deserves more love. Great cinematography.
Thanks for sharing your amazing collection sir. Have a AWSOME day.
Not a problem, thank you for watching! Have an awesome New Year! 🙏🏼🎉
The production of your videos is unmatched!
Thank you! Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things if we can. I do miss it from to time. 😅
Thank you for taking the time out to watch! 🙏🏼🍻
This is the best room tour video I've seen. The themes of the cases, the poses and the overall look are amazing.

The Tarkin pose might not work for sticklers because of his age and rank, but you can fudge the line and make it work for sure. That’s where the fun is in the collection anyway, right? We get to make our own stories and keep it interesting. 😄🙏🏼
Thank you for taking the time out to watch. Pushing out a 40 minute video was a tough ask for people to get through, so thank you again! 🍻🙏🏼🙏🏼

@@BostonCollectors are you thinking about Moducase ?
@@etiennemorrissette5500 I was, but something about them make me think otherwise. The back part and the shelving being enclosed makes it feel more like a dungeon of toys to me.
If I did, I’d have to modify them with glass. I’m a bit particular in that respect, lol!
@@BostonCollectors hahaha I understand! Thanks a lot for the replies:-) !
But my explanation allow me to pose my figures in a way where I can use the lit blades depending on the poses.
the transport trooper and purge trooper shelfs are my favorites, absolutely incredible displays!
I was just thinking about moving the Transport Troopers along, but after posing them I figured they can stay longer, lol!
The Purge Troopers are awesome, I almost wish I had 2 more. Just weird how loose some of the parts are is all. 🤔
Thanks!
Incredible collection!!!!!! I love how well thought out each shelf is. Awesome job!!!
I could've saved time and cut a lot of corners, but it doesn't speak to my near perfectionist trait (which i've tried hard to suppress over the years) and my need to up the bar each time.
I feel that way about some of the OT figures, but not all of them.
Thanks for watching, Norsky! 😄🙏🏼🍻
Amazing set up and poses. One day I’ll have one like it. Tnx for the tour I really enjoy your video reviews.
Thank you! Slow and steady wins the race. It takes a while to get a space the way you want it, but I find planning it out while saving up helps tremendously. Here's to your future space!
Thank you for taking the time out to watch, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Happy New Year to you! 🙏🏻
Best room tour ever. Loved the desk setup walk thru too. You just earned a sub sir 🫡

Yeah, I can see the robe annoying collectors. I have my gripes with some of the pieces too like that, but it doesn’t bug me too much to buy new ones. I’ve seen them upgraded though and they really nice. 🔥
Appreciate you for taking the time out to watch and comment, thanks! 🙏🏼🔥
Nice clean display tremendous
Thank you! 🙏🏻😄
Fantastic collection! May I ask, what print is the image of Anakin that you feature on the poster at the beginning and as your phone Lock Screen? The one with the dark side eyes and hood up. Thanks.
Thank you, thank you! That’s a photo I shot last year and came back to edit this year. You can get a better look at him over on Instagram. 😄
That's what I enjoy about Detolf units so much!
This is fantastic!! Every cube well thought out. Perfection 👌 🤘🤘
I just have to get on the level of getting my figures in day one like you man, haha! Killing it! Thanks for watching and I appreciate the love 💪🏼

Thank you, thank you. 🙏🏼🔥
Amazing content and wonderful shot.
Thank you, thank you. Appreciate it.
Ah, so I’m not from this way. I was born and raised in Detroit, but wife was born and raised out here in the city. So when I met my wife I came out this way to be with her. We both collect and we’re both in Boston, so the name kind of came up that way. 😅
What’s interesting though is I only find the accent in pockets of Boston. I thought everyone had it! 😭
My wife doesn’t even have the accent which I thought was strange, but the second I head out to Chelsea… it’s eeeeeverywhere!
Amazing video as always 🎉
Thank you Marc! 😄🙏🏼
Awesome collection tour! SUPER clean! I love how much thought you put it each display. Wishing you guys a great New Year!

Thank you! And yeah, it takes quite a while and no other hobbies, that’s for sure. 😭
I’m lucky enough to say it’s my main hobby with a few art prints here and there. 4 will turn to 40 before you know it. 😂
Thanks for watching!
My Dream set up man! This is amazing
Thank you! It took quite a while to plan and build up to, but you can do it!
Always a huge compliment for some reason.
Appreciate you for taking the time out to watch such a long video and read a long ass comment.
There are very few pieces from the Original Trilogy that I’d like to have, but would make it harder to move around in the display. Hoth Leia is one I’d LOVE To have. Maybe one day. 😭
Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼🍻
Love the clean looks without base and proper poses !! What would be your tips to display without base for open shelves?
Love this channel, your displays are next level. I have a question for you. Where's Lando brother?? Hope you and yours have a wonderful New Year and I'm looking forward to your 2024 content. Bless.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙏🏼
Lando’s a decent looking figure, but doesn’t fit into the collection for me unfortunately. I have to be selective with the space I have. 😄
Appreciate you for taking the time to watch and Happy New Year to you and yours too!
❤@@BostonCollectors
Fantastic! May I ask... how do you combat dust? Apart from constant cleaning!
Thank you, Edward!
So I did a video showing a quick overview of how I apply dust-proofing through weatherproof strips here: ua-cam.com/video/dw8gmMR_ixc/v-deo.html
However I went into deeper detail a year ago showing how I do it here: ua-cam.com/video/n-O26coKYxo/v-deo.html
The only time I'm really cleaning is if I open my cabinets too much to pose a figure, swapping figures around, or I notice a super thin coat of dusting that bothers me. When that happens I break out a handheld Swiffer Duster to clean the cabinets inside and out.
Hope that helps!
Sweet
Thank you!
Man your collection tours keep getting better and better, love that rug what is the size of it? the room your in looks to be a standard size 10' x 12'
Love your display and the way Every Part has a Story behind it i would really love to own the 501st Deluxe Figure but i really cant Aufford it i just started collecting 😁
Thank you! Its next level of fun after owning a figure for me. 😅
Telling a story and having it match the next display or shelf is a good bit of fun!
The 501sts are good figures, but man I dislike the bodies for them. Hopefully you can find one at a good price later on. Thanks for watching!
Love your videos! There so much time, effort , and detail put into these. What wall panels do you have behind your Detolf cases?
Thank you, Paolo!
It did take quite a bit of time, but it makes it that much better to watch. Rough to edit, but the payoff is hearing how much you all enjoyed the upload! 😄🙏🏻
I had to pick up 3 packs for my wall, but I grabbed them from Amazon: a.co/d/a6T1L47
great collection and editing. are you considering picking up Clone pilot and snow speeder luke?
Thank you, Israel! 😄🙌🏼
It's hard to say how I feel about the Pilots since they aren't specific to a battalion I have. I'd like one, but for the wrong reasons. It would be just say I have him. As for Snow Speeder Luke, its a pass for me. The wife's got him in her display though! 🔥
Thanks for taking the time out to watch!
Can we get a video on how to do custom/ kitbash. Also would like list of parts for you custom anakin
We received a few requests for this, so I might just go ahead and do a video on how how I did it. I'll also add the parts and prices similar to how I did Plo Koon's. Stay tuned!
It’s so frustrating how expensive the troopers are….you have to have at least 2 and it’s a fortune
You would think those might have a baseline price, but I guess everything going up is the trend. I'd love to have more troopers, but the last best deal we've had in my opinion was the 501st Deluxe and standard 501st releases. Now? A clone can cost more with less accessories. 😵💫
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Amazing room and display, one of the best I seen. It is so clean looking! Do you get your art prints framed from anywhere in specific?
Thank you! Glad to be ranked higher up for displays. Feels great to have other collectors enjoy the space too.
The frames are made from a company called "Frame-It-Easy". Here's a link to learn more: www.frameiteasy.com/r/nYWx
You don't send in the print though, they ship you the frame you designed and you place it yourself.
What color is that called that you painted the wall? Its really nice.
I'll have to get back to you on the exact color, but I know for sure it's from Behr. I put the can in the basement with the rest, but I'll find it.
Epic collection!
Wondering, what are the dimensions of the high ground art print?
Would another dark trooper fit in the middle? I kinda want to get 3 to have them lined up behind my thrawn
points deducted for sequel trilogy items but other than that this room looks great! nice poses 👍🏼
Yeah, I get it isn't everyones cup of tea, but I like them. Thanks and I appreciate you for watching! 🙏🏻
Would you recommend the regular clone or the 501st (non deluxe version tho)? Got a choice between the 2 but really like being able to change the helmets with the regular plain one… are they the exact same apart from the paint job?
I only have jango right now, so was thinking the reg with p1 helmet would be the most appropriate to get to make a nice ep2 display
Thanks:)
Hands down the reg. The 501st is cool and all, but the posing is what limit them most. The ratcheted joints force you to play within boundaries whereas with the regular clones you don’t have to.
Also, the reg feels great in hand! Whatever they did with the application, it works! 😄
Body, paint application and the backpack are the main differences between them (if compared to the standard 501st release).
@@snarly2415 not a problem, I’m happy to help!
Congrats on your future purchase, thanks for watching, and I appreciate the compliment! 😄🙏🏼
What displays are you using? And where did you get them if you don’t mind me asking.
Amazing collection and setup!
All of my cabinets are called Detolfs, and they were produced by IKEA. They stopped making them though, unfortunately.
Thank you so much, and I appreciate you watching! 🙏🏼🔥
Would you recommend for a second fig to go with jango, a b1, b2, or clone trooper?
Dang that's tough. He's the father of clones although he was on the Separatists side. He fought alongside the B1's... I'd vote the B1's personally. At least if you decide to get the Super Battle Droid later they might be sticking around a while.
Hope this helps!
What backdrop are you using behind the shelves? The gray pieces.
They’re Bubos acoustic sound panels. I had to pick up 3 packs for my wall, but I grabbed them from Amazon: a.co/d/a6T1L47
Great collection, what cam have you been using to record this?
Thank you! I used a Canon 90D with the Canon 24-70mm F2.8 to film.
@@BostonCollectors thanks a lot!
Fairly new to collecting, any other sites other than Sideshow, Pop collectibles and Toys wonderland to purchase legit 1/6 Scale figures? Any suggestions is welcomed, thanks !!!!!
Don’t purchase from toys wonderland. Pop collectibles are not popular too from what I hear.
Toysbuyingagent are great though.
Hey! Welcome to the hobby! PopCultcha is a great site to order from, although they’re based in Australia. Great folks over there. Other than them and Sideshow, I’d recommend checking out your local comic shop if you have any nearby. 🙏🏼🔥
What body are you considering swapping for Bo Katan?
Who is missing in your mandalorian display @ 13:56
I will never understand the hate for the clone wars maul figure, doesn’t deserve it at all.
@@BostonCollectors true, but still a hard disagree imo
@@big.boi_v1795 all good, I’m not offended by it. I’m glad there are people who like it. 🍻
I wish I liked the sequels,Ben Solo is actually dope
Yeah, it needs quite a bit of material to make that content sit better with fans. Ben's overall design is pretty solid though!
Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
Sick! Where'd you get these?
The majority of my figures come from Sideshow Collectibles. 😄🙏🏼
where did you get the stars wars mouse pad?
I got it from OrbitKey. They have 2 different variations, Obi-wan & Darth Vader. Worth checking out when they’re in stock!

No legends stuff ?!!
Hot Toys never made anything from Legends. They only make Canon pieces.
@@BostonCollectors Aw that's such a same, lets hope that it will happen some day !
@@Axitor_ agreed! There are a lot of dark side users I’d love to have!
Do these figures get alot of dust?
They could attract a lot of dust if you don’t dust-proof your display. I made a video last month showing off a quick redo if you’re interested in checking it out.
