Well seeing as how Honda can’t even make a back window fit on the HR-V that doesn’t carry a threat of shattering upon initiating the defrost, they should definitely stay away from implementing panoramic sunroofs. That’s for sure. Real leather seats that aren’t ventilated are also a bad scenario in warmer climates. For the money this thing costs, it’s ridiculous that it lacks so much. Even if they aren’t important or valued features to some people, the price of the vehicle should reflect what it doesn’t have.
@@Ricky-mo6mvthe seats are pretty cool. It was 107 in Boise on Thurs and if you have a sun shield or park under a tree just give the remote start 10 seconds and you’re good to go.

Honda crv isn’t a race car neither is it a luxurious car, but it’s always gonna be there for your daily movement… talking about work, church, store etc. your not buying it to show off. It’s a great car!!
Thank you for mentioning the lack of a spare tire, I did not know this information when I bought my 2023 CRV Sport Touring Hybrid. As a person who travels to areas where there is no cell service, it makes me nervous.
I have a 2019 CR-V which just suffered severe hail damage and my insurance is going to total it. I love my CR-V!! I think I love the new CR-V but why did they take away the remote garage door opener??? That's an important feature to me. Not a deal breaker but why would they take it away? We will start car shopping this week, thanks for the great review
My 2024 Honda CRV hybrid L gets 41 to 42 mpg on the road and in town. Thrilled about that but not thrilled about no spare and loud engine noise going up steep hills.
Coming from a Hyundai Santa Fe for the last four years the CRV hybrid is so much better in many ways. Don’t be fooled by gadgets and electronics, if you want a great vehicle that will last years buy the CRV. Yes the CRV hybrid doesn’t have a panoramic roof vented seats, but what the CRV does is give you a confident reliable car every day that in the end is worth so much then gadgets. It drives exceptionally well, better than any Hyundai. Resale value. Your Honda will be worth 4k-5k more than Kia or Hyundai then you sell it in 5 years. My Hyundai had problems with oil consumption after 75,000 miles, with Honda this shouldn’t be a problem.
Bought a 2025 CR-V HYB AWD SPORT L last night. For 15,000 miles the residual was 66%. For 10,000 mile the residual was 67%. Money factor through Honda Financial was not great. Depreciates $11500 over 3 years.
My 2011 Venza has almost all the same features, space, bigger rims stock, panoramic moonroof, and half the price. Pretty sure it was cheaper when new too
Features, features, features. People whining about features. These dudes just had a hanudaey bought back by the dealer. But hey, it had alotta features. See how that turned out.
While I certainly agree about Hyundai/Kia are all flash and are junk. Honda and Toyota are definitely not trying to add in simple yet easy features while asking for more money. That’s not good when you have $40k+ pricing and maintenance costs. It’s not going to wow you when you get cut backs on things priced similarly The fact this thing doesn’t have a spare is a major issue. I think that’s nuts for any car though.
Editing as I think I was too harsh. Sorry. But the deal is, this is a Honda CR-V….not a Ferrari. A spare tire isn’t just a great emergency necessity, but one that costs them nothing to add let alone doesn’t even remotely impact MPG or weight. A spare donut tire is at most 60lbs tops. Not even. You’re spending 40k on a cSUV without a simple, cheap, rational item that is now considered a luxury by them. Not only that, there isn’t even a place to put a spare even if you wanted to buy one yourself. It’s why you see posts of people online strapping a tire to their roof or having one scruff up and take space in their cargo space. It shouldn’t be a requirement to have AAA, another expense in order to have peace of mind on an expensive purchase. I can easily swap a tire out in 10 mins and be on the road while a person waits 1hr or more on a AAA person to do it for them at cost. Honda not even allowing you the space for such storage is just bad design in my opinion. Fine, don’t give me a spare on the 40k car you allowed me to spend on plus interest, but don’t disallow me the luxury of being able to store one conveniently is ridiculous.
@@vjmtz I'm not bothered by your wording. You have your view and I have mine. In an era of global warming literally getting out of control, if not having a spare tire means more room to shift to battery tech and ultimately EVs for everyone, I will argue in favor of that ad infinitum.
I didn’t see any changes from the 2024 CRV. Did I miss something? Usually a manufacturer introduces a new model year early when there are major changes. In this case there are no changes. Why the early introduction?
I think he was using that 'introduction' in reference to the plug- in hydrogen fuel cell variant of the CRV line in the beginning of the video, but it's only exclusive for the California market.
Im so sick of car makers being lazy when designing the interiors. i can't stand they way they make things look so nice then stick an IPAD on the dash. So lazy.
I am waiting to see the redesign on the RAV4. It is disappointing that Honda doesn't have nearly all of the possible creature features that the competition has.
Wow! 41” of rear seat leg room is comparable to luxury size cars prior to downsizing in the 1970s when a Buick Electra was 225” long. 98s and Sedan DeVilles and Town Car sedans had 41” of rear seat legroom. It’s equivalent to front seat legroom. Quite an accomplishment in a compact SUV crossover.
I think what a lot of people miss about features is Honda wants you to go to their Acura brand for more flashy things. I so far have decided not to because I do not want to pay for premium fuel.
I think these cars are far more popular in the US than they are in the U.K. - it’s a bit of a fringe product here. There are better options from other makers…..
The thing is it doesn’t make sense. Like why did they cheap out so much. A top trim accord for a thousand less gives you everything. They really missed the opportunity here since not everyone needs a massive 60k pilot.
They do it because people still buy them. Honda probably has one of the largest profit margins given how much they skimp out. And they don’t even have a design team that they need to provide compensation for.
People I have talked too including myself have new 24 Hondas I have a crv and we are getting terrible milage needless to say alot of us won't be returning, very disappointing cause I wanted to like this vehicle
Question: How are the driving dynamics? The RAV4 is great but steering is light and the suspension floaty. Turning hard results in everything flying. My old CX5 is more planted through turns.
Hello, I dare a few observations, 5th generation 4th year. The fuel consumption is intended between the driver's head and his right legs with the use of recuperation paddles. I had the opportunity to ride for a while (2024) and I would summarize it in a few small notes. In today's heat ventilation of seats, it is not as intense as I would have imagined; I do not know whether the intensity can be set. Furthermore, I was amazed that the passengers could not adapt their seat as much as the driver. In 5. Ogeneration it was possible to set the armrest and often use it for longer routes. Damage. I did not find out what the sunroof is for when Honda has air conditioning. I would expect a greater suppression under the front wheels, the noise is somewhat larger. They could better adapt the compartment to recharge your mobile, as the cell phone runs in the corner. See how quite practically they created and entered the lower part of the car; On the back is already a hole that will suffer especially in winter (I mean part from the rear axle). Otherwise, I finally praise the practical rear safety belts that can be set as much as the front. I also praise the possibility to set the position of the rear seats. It is a pity that the rear passengers cannot separately adjust the positioning bench position. I still remembered the heated steering wheel, which is only on temperament and not of heating. Heating seems to understand that I could set the heating temperature as in the seats. I praise that someone has finally remembered that in the trunk people not only carry their suitcases on holiday, but for over a year they are made shopping, and in the masters that can at least be attached. The last observation is that it is not possible to regulate the air conditioning in the front. If the passenger does not want to play cold air on himself, he is simply unlucky. Either the driver is baked, or the passenger arrives "frozen" or with a barley grain. I think it could be different at the price of the car. It's just my observation, I know that other owners don't mind these things and don't solve them. For me, I will wait for the CR-V hybrid 7. generation, (year 2025-2026) what it will bring.
You show resale value after 5 years at 64.8% of original purchase price of $40,200 to be $18,809. I didn't do too good in math but I calculated the resale to be $26,045.
We shopped the 2024 CRV a couple of months ago. Don't need the extra luxuries like a pano roof or ventilated seats. But COMFORTABLE seats were a requirement, and the CR-V failed on that score. Just NOT comfortable to sit in. And when you add to the loudness of the engine, it's just a penalty box (though a LARGE penalty box). And expensive!! We passed on it & bought something else, a Tucson Hybrid.
I knew it was the CR-V that had people complaining about the seats. Yeah, anyone who test drives the CR-V and then does the same with a Tucson will inevitably end up choosing the Tucson. The only reason they wouldn’t is because they are hung up on the proposed reliability factor which seems to be fading regardless.
@limitedreach4446 , they actually don't know what consumers want. There's just some customers though who don't know how to invest in a vehicle with all the desirable features that the CRV does not offer.
I have a 2020 Honda CRV Hybrid touring that I have really enjoyed but see no improvements in newer years to make me upgrade. So, I am now looking at a Tesla Y
all that's ok - 5/8/2024- I bought a new 2024 and at 800 miles the computer system seemed to lock up- took it in and a stuck sensor seemed to have caused the problem- everything ok now!!
The short answer is there are no new features and an increase in price. Also the sticky steering issue present for years in the civics has been showing up on the 23s and 24s.
They did a good job with the E-CVT, with the simulated shift points eliminating some of the incessant droning that other CVT vehicles have. I'm curious to see what the new RAV-4 is going to bring to the table. Rumors are, it's coming out later this year, and it will likely have the same drivetrain as the new Camry.
The crv not having a spare is a huge mistake. I went with the RAV4 because it does have a spare. I love the look and feel of the CRV but I couldn't stand knowing I would have to wait for a tow truck if I ruptured a tire.
Good review...thanks. Sooooo typical for Honda. Great engineering, class-leading features, etc. But the interior... black! Again. C'mon, Honda, it's not 1988 any more. Have you seen the beautiful interiors from Mazda, Nissan and others? Would a little color kill you?
Excellent review. I just wish they made the interior a little better, feels like its still using previous Honda gen interior and not the newest Honda interior.
Why even have a new version every year. It’s not a phone that needs constant updates. In any case honda crv is still reliable and is a good family car but expensive compared to competitors
Good review, nice suv . Still waiting for the new Tiguan R line to come out. You guys hear Anything when new civic hybrid hatchback touring trim is coming out?
No ventilated front seats, no heated rear seats, no rear windows manual shade. CRV still lags behind RAV4. What's the improvement in 25 model over 24. Not interested in CRV.
its a great product and is also definitely not a luxurious or one of the most fun cars you can have, but if value is the key factor you cant go wrong with honda
Too bad they dumped so many engineering resources into the ridiculously low volume production hydrogen version (sold only in 1 state) instead of figuring out how to include a spare tire in their hybrids, and get the towing capacity up from 1000 lbs (1500 in the non-hybrid, which also has a spare tire) to something more class competitive. And redesigning the front end and still did not add fog lights. Honda: putting the lower case "U" in "SUV". I have over 30 years of owning and driving various Honda cars, but in the SUV arena, theirs are still a hard "pass".
Too bad they discontinued the fog lights on the top of the line trim levels and you’d think the touring would come with heads-up display in light of the incremental pricing.
I have this exact same car, trim, color and everything but the 2024 model year. There is nothing new except the color from what I heard. Mine is Lunar Silver and the 2025 is called Solar Silver. Cannot tell from the video any obvious color difference but I will defer that to someone else to compare.
Definitely agree on the air ball. There are a ton of features missing on this car. Bizarre. The lack of rear sunshades is the biggest "huh?" for me. They're on Pilots and Odysseys I know that (own one), why on Earth wouldn't they be on the CR-V? Rogue's in the same segment and has them...
Not sure why none of these manufacturers allow for a backflow pass through for skis. We have two kids and we don't want to get into anything bigger, but we also ski and prefer not to throw things on a rack. If Rav 4, Rouge etc had pass through it would be world's better.

Perhaps a 360 camera is missed but all the other things you mentioned are non issues for me. It's just items that break in long term ownership
Looking to purchase a compact or midsize suv next spring and stumbled on your videos. Probably the most thorough car walk throughs I’ve found so far.
Top choices so far are the crv and rav4
The back doors are nice until a kid swings it 85 degrees into someone’s car or a pole lol
Honda crv isn’t a race car neither is it a luxurious car, but it’s always gonna be there for your daily movement…
talking about work, church, store etc. your not buying it to show off. It’s a great car!!
Love your channel!!! I love all the contents you show for every car review especially the reliability and resale value.
Thanks so much!
I'll have a place to store all of my donuts soon!
I just bought a 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport Touring and I love it!
Congrats on your new CR-V!
Favorite part of the video, Mason saying the word “bougie”! 😊👍
Honda as a company has been with
stunted growth for the last 10 years
I just bought the Cr-v gas version. We are senior citizens. The buying process almost caused us to be relocated to a nursing home. AWFUL!! We love it!
Do people really care that much about panoramic roofs and ventilated seats, especially for a Honda?
No, which is why you see these things everywhere. People here just like to hear themselves complain.
Not at all. In fact, I prefer the moonroof because it is just the right amount of light in the vehicle.
They are becoming increasingly more sought after
Yes. And they get a Toyota 😊
@@hamidmghazi let me guess, they pay $4k - $8k more 🤗
Just gained a subscriber. I've been searching everywhere for in car dB readings. THANK YOU!
Terrific! Welcome to the Car Confections family!
My 2024 Honda CRV hybrid L gets 41 to 42 mpg on the road and in town. Thrilled about that but not thrilled about no spare and loud engine noise going up steep hills.
I Berna Honda Lover for some 40 year now and never been disappointed I love my 2022 Black edition CRV
Other cars loose that much the day you take them home.
Every time i take a shower, I'm afraid i will open the curtain and see the two aviator-clad confection brothers saying, "helloooooooo you tube."
No spare tire is such a bummer. Imagine having a flat tire in the middle of no where and you open your trunk to find a tire kit lol.
Like your review as always; however, I must have missed the title what is new question answer :-) Is anything except the price increase new?
My 2011 Venza has almost all the same features, space, bigger rims stock, panoramic moonroof, and half the price. Pretty sure it was cheaper when new too
Features, features, features. People whining about features. These dudes just had a hanudaey bought back by the dealer. But hey, it had alotta features. See how that turned out.
haha nanananan!
While I certainly agree about Hyundai/Kia are all flash and are junk. Honda and Toyota are definitely not trying to add in simple yet easy features while asking for more money. That’s not good when you have $40k+ pricing and maintenance costs. It’s not going to wow you when you get cut backs on things priced similarly
The fact this thing doesn’t have a spare is a major issue. I think that’s nuts for any car though.
@@vjmtz A spare tire just adds weight. Just get AAA!
What kills me about this car is how I can think it looks fine in some angles, and horribly long nosed in others.
Im so sick of car makers being lazy when designing the interiors. i can't stand they way they make things look so nice then stick an IPAD on the dash. So lazy.
One of the best Hybrid SUV on the market
I am waiting to see the redesign on the RAV4. It is disappointing that Honda doesn't have nearly all of the possible creature features that the competition has.
I have they hurry with RAV4 redesign. I'm waiting
Having a hydraulic hood is kinda cool for a compact honda. My moms highlander doesnt have it!
what's going on - my new favorite auto review channel
Thank you!
They really need to update that infotainment center.
I have a lot of road noise in my 2017 honda crv, didn't realize how much road noise there really was until I got into a 2018 Lincoln Navigator
Bought the 2025 CRV hybrid touring in urban gray metallic. Only complaint is no garage door opener and no spare tire.
People I have talked too including myself have new 24 Hondas I have a crv and we are getting terrible milage needless to say alot of us won't be returning, very disappointing cause I wanted to like this vehicle
45ish in the city for me. FWD Sport L. 35ish at 70-75mph. I'm happy.
Question: How are the driving dynamics? The RAV4 is great but steering is light and the suspension floaty. Turning hard results in everything flying. My old CX5 is more planted through turns.
CR-V has a more dynamic feel and better steering than the RAV4. Not quite as agile as the CX-5 though.
I have a 2024 hybrid sport touring. There are no significant changes in the 2025 lineup. Looks like we hit the peak of the CRV.
I live in a very dry dusty area and thinking about detailing those interior honeycomb vents gives me anxiety
I'll bet a Swiffer will take care of that dust!
This is my next car. Perfect for the family.
I can tell there's a decent amount of road noise in this car just like my 2017
You show resale value after 5 years at 64.8% of original purchase price of $40,200 to be $18,809. I didn't do too good in math but I calculated the resale to be $26,045.
Sorry about that. Our editors math calculations are incorrect there and it must've slipped through the cracks
It’s A shame good looking car but lacks features that the competition gives . Still a no go for me for another Honda
Outrageous prices honda was never like that... now it is cheaper to by other companies.... 😮
The Sport L also has an adjustable steering wheel.
I like the style a lot but it needs ventilated seats and maybe a little more power.Im holding out for the next Gen Rav.
So still offering much less than the competition.
yup and reliability isn’t even a selling point of these anymore
They’re on track for selling 400k units of these! Honda knows what their buyers do and don’t want on this.
Then buy something else.....😊
The european CrV is like a Luxury suv i dont understand why Honda hates US customers lol
The hybrid is more reliable than the 1.5 turbo 💯
The short answer is there are no new features and an increase in price. Also the sticky steering issue present for years in the civics has been showing up on the 23s and 24s.
I think the CRV has the best interior for it's class. I'm going to test drive one but I still think I'd rather not get anything with a CVT.
Only reason I didn't get a CR-V is a lack of panoramic sunroof which My wife wanted. Since happy wife > Happy life, Had to go with a Mazda cx 50
Is the Touring version quieter? Maybe better sound insulation?
Yes. ST has acoustic glass on the sides too. My Sport-L only has it on the windshield
The crv not having a spare is a huge mistake. I went with the RAV4 because it does have a spare. I love the look and feel of the CRV but I couldn't stand knowing I would have to wait for a tow truck if I ruptured a tire.
No spare tire…no purchase of Honda…had to use three spares in my lifetime!
In the city it doesn't matter.
Good review...thanks. Sooooo typical for Honda. Great engineering, class-leading features, etc. But the interior... black! Again. C'mon, Honda, it's not 1988 any more. Have you seen the beautiful interiors from Mazda, Nissan and others? Would a little color kill you?
I just test drove a 2024 with gray seats.
Excellent review. I just wish they made the interior a little better, feels like its still using previous Honda gen interior and not the newest Honda interior.
2025 version has ONE year maintenance not TWO. Good review.
Why even have a new version every year. It’s not a phone that needs constant updates. In any case honda crv is still reliable and is a good family car but expensive compared to competitors
Still no fog lights?
Very few car manufactures offer them anymore. You can still get them on most Subarus.
you can blame the modern LED headlamps for that now, prob. taking a note from Tesla.
It is so lame to not have panoramic sunroof where Europe top trim has. Europe also have PHEV which is not available here in US
honda still sells cars here? can't remember when i saw the last one. only a few from 2010+
Good review, nice suv . Still waiting for the new Tiguan R line to come out. You guys hear Anything when new civic hybrid hatchback touring trim is coming out?
To be picky, I would call the exhaust outlets parallelograms not trapezoids.
No ventilated front seats, no heated rear seats, no rear windows manual shade. CRV still lags behind RAV4. What's the improvement in 25 model over 24. Not interested in CRV.
Why incadecent 💡? Is led that much more expansive under mass production? 3:23
its a great product and is also definitely not a luxurious or one of the most fun cars you can have, but if value is the key factor you cant go wrong with honda
Give me a spare tire, quiet cabin and comfortable seats and I will buy one now.
Just test drove one, I found it very quiet and comfortable. 2 out of 3 maybe?
Just buy a spare and leave it in the back.
No spare is a deal breaker as is the "exposed" rear wiper. But then again, the Sportage doesn't come with a spare. Comparing both.
Yup, definitely in the never category.
No CVT for me. I'd still prefer the old 6-speed automatic. The legroom and reclining rear seat are the pluses, though.
You should do a comparison CRV vs Passport
Ah man, the Passport is so gross looking. At least the exterior of the CR-V is quite attractive now.
@@Ricky-mo6mvI just traded in my 2013 Pilot. Which I LOVED the look of. The new 2025 Pilot was too big for our garage so I looked at the Passport. Interior I was okay with, but the exterior, it's just so round looking. My husband said "it reminds me of a van". Well that's all I needed to hear to convince me not to get that one 🤣 I ended up getting the CRV sport hybrid. It's only a couple inches shorter than my 2013 Pilot and seating room is basically the same
What i show is your saying 200+HP, but it is reporting multiple locations and site is 145HP.
Almost purchased 2025 Crv Hybrid Touring yesterday, however, how long will hybrid last after warranty period until major repairs are required?
We found a Canyon River Blue 2025 CRV Hybrid Touring AWD with 2 miles and bought it two weeks ago. Phenomenal vehicle!
It is the same length as our 2008 Odyssey with 309,000 miles. We didn’t have the heart to trade in such a great van.
The Honda dealership really didn’t know how to explain how to drive our hybrid. They didn’t know how awesome the warranty! It’s in the warranty manual.
I noticed there are alot of features in my 2017 CRV- EXL. But the new 2025 doesn't have even in the EXL or Touring. Am I missing something here?

I'm surprise that they don't have a spare tire/donut in the Honda 2025...
The fact they are still using incandescent bulbs on the turn signals in 2025 is ridiculous.
