How do they say it there, proper mental! I don’t envy the cleaning you’ve got to do however kudos on the experience. Loved watching something I 100% will never do on my Hyper. LOL
Thanks for sharing this experience. I have always been wondering what it would be running the 950 with Mutant type tyres and taking it off road... Now I see that even with these tyres fitted it's tough and both weight and other settings are playing a big part in keeping it all clean and tidy. I always ran my 950 (SP 2019-2021, RVE 2021-2024) with the Supercorsa SP also offroad, driving about 1.500 kilometers a year in Slovenia and a part of it offroad. I was always wondering how much better suited tyres would benefit fit me and this video clearly shows it does something but there are other factors at play here. Very interested to see what my new 698 Mono RVE can do and maybe even fit it with Mutant type tyres at some point to see how it performs in terrain. Thanks again for sharing!
@@hypermotardking Possibly yes. Though I feel the 17" rims would be a greater limitation that having spokes instead of cast wheels. You'd need to go real hard to start flexing those rims, but yeah - shit could happen regardless :D
Thanks.. If you can push an SP then get it.. its great for fast road and can mix it on track.. commands a higher sell on price if you ever get bored.. try and get one with some extra’s thrown on 👍🏻
In the nicest possible way, I think your nuts 🤣, But you had a good time and that's what it's all about. I'd of enjoyed a aftermath video of cleaning it down too 👍

Well it’s a dirt road so not really off road but still I wouldn’t do it with my hyper, I don’t even ride mine in the rain. Just don’t want to get it dirty, I have other bikes for that.
Hyge glaring problems if thinking this is the answer for a hooligan bike on and off pavement. First is TIRES ,,,,without some serious offroad tires it will be shit but WITH some good knobbies it will work somewhat even inspite of the 17" wheel. So thr heartbreadker is setting u for the dirt leaves it shat on the pavement....I guess with a spare set of wheels and yu are good doing quick change? A set of spoked wheels 19 from 17 rear full on knobbies could be incredible! then poppapvement meats on for the canyons and one bike does it all stellar....sort of not coumtomg tje swap routines
I do have a spare set of wheels (17”).. haven’t checked about the option of going to a 19” on a single sided swingarm.. but something to bear in mind for winter ‘23 😂
@@hypermotardking Your documented adventure proves your point. If nothing else, from a marketing perspective, they could use this footage; with appropriate rewards, of course. @@hypermotardking Point taken, BUT not even Chris Northover, who loves dirt, has done nothing this extensive, nor from an owner's perspective. Those staged tests on Gran Canaria or Jerez don't give the potential buyer a true demonstration of what the bike can do with some imagination, prep and sense of fun. Most owners aren't going to flog this bike on a track, me included. It's too far away to ride this bike or worse yet, invest in transportation for me to do a day or weekend at Thunderhill when I can ride the back roads and still feel good about myself. This video proves that the Hyper is under-marketed. Sales of this model can only increase if the y alter their sales pitch. The hardcore dicks are going to call it too fat, blah-blah-blah. NO! Your Ducati Hypermotard SP is not made for off-road. Get an Aprilia Tuareg or similar for the green lanes. Your SP is much to pretty to hammer in the dirt.
I love that you did this, not afraid to use the bike. Heck yeah man
Thats the point right - work with what you got with 👍🏻👍🏻
Great vid followed by days of detailing, which I would find quite satisfying, big up to you for taking the 950 off road.👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧
So true.. I did enjoy the detailing part 😂😂
bloody amazing , you making full use of that stunning machine
Just trying to prove if one-bike can do it all..
That is the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen, other than the fact that it looks like it's been raining for a week straight!
Hahahaa… yeah Wales is beautiful
Really enjoyed this vid, always knew the SP can do anything, great job. 😊😊😊😊👍🏻

It's much harder in person than it looks on the camera.
Hat off to you sir, job well done!
Yeah sure is.. 👍🏻👍🏻
On one hand I'd never do that to my Ducati RVE or any hyper but you've proved how good they are as a bike all the haters are gonna be more angry
Lol.. one of the reasons I did this - too many “hibernate” their bikes over winter when then can be used with some tweaks 👍🏻👍🏻

The Multi’s designed for it - Its an easy winter video.. get on it 💪🏼
Maybe 19 front 17 trst with 50/50 tires? True dula purpose hooligan motorcycle? one that could STILL haul ass on a track or canyon road
How does a 19” make it easier for the bike/me off-road..??

Not enough traction in mud with those tires..
dry dirt only with thsoe
