The soft open tailgate is nice on my Tacoma but it takes a weightlifter to close it. Maybe not quite that bad but tailgates are much heavier than they used to be.

I bought a '19 Limited CM two months ago. First thing I did was a drivers side grab handle and the front turns needed some LED help. A diamondback tonneau cover adds a rugged look too.
I love this truck. 2 things are holding me back from getting one. The poor fuel mileage and no rear locker's. I would change out the tires to a more aggressive off road version as soon as I got one but that's not a deal breaker for me. It's just tires. I sure hope the next generation gives us Toyota enthusiast's something to be excited about and stick it to the competitors. Maybe 2021 Toyota can give us the early 8 speed transmission and include lockers. A guy can dream. Then for sure I would be ordering one.
I’m going to get my hands on one of these because it’s a beast! 5.7L which is enough hauling power. But I wish they would have made the interior more elegant and not so 2000 year looking interior.

nothing wrong with ford, also nothing wrong with a truck like Tundra that has proven itself for decades to be the MOST reliable hands down. I don't mind a dated look, I actually like it, and the dependability is 2nd to none.
tundra is 24 inches longer than a sequioa-not the same. I appreciate you picked up on the drone noise, I added a different exhaust that had more throat than stock but a lot less drone than trd duals
If been on the fence on buying a tundra TRD pro. Now I find out the Tundra gets poor ratings for a crash test called driver and front passenger overlap. I’m curious what others think and just how serious those poor safety ratings are.
One thing I never understood about the Toyota Tundra is how come they don't put the tundra name on the back of the truck center right below the handle. It always throws me off when it's to the right or to the left it just looks at a place Aleve for my money I would want it right in the center just like they put the Toyota logo in the front of the truck
Good review, not sure why they call it a Pro and it doesn’t even have Crawl Control system, they need to add the same off road system that the 4 runner , Tacoma , and land cruiser has and then call it a pro . You can get a regular TRD Tundra add a skid plate , fox reservoir shocks and boom you have the same truck .
"I'm going back on this freeway that has a lot of imperfections like dips and divots" ...yeah buddy that's every road in the Chicago land area😆 welcome to our neck of the woods
The supercharger is still available. It is a Magnuson supercharger and it is about 7K and it was always an aftermarket item. There are Toyota dealers that will still install it and give a 35k mile warranty with it.
There is a reason why TRD went away with their superchargers. Reliability. Can’t expect long term reliability on the engine, superchargers are hugely known for oil leaks. Magnuson Superchargers offer them as aftermarket products but Toyota does NOT warranty them. It is Magnuson that offers their limited warranty on their superchargers.
@@lokkstarproductions6918 Nice coincidence you posting about supercharger unreliability hours after The Fast Lane Truck posted re. a supercharged Tacoma with over 600,000 miles. :)
Sylvan Butler if you do some research you will see that superchargers are unreliable. One tundra with supercharger with 400k doesn’t mean all are like that. Do we know if it’s the original engine/ trans? Has it been remodeled and redone? The shop that i used to work at dyno performance vehicles, and yet we have not really seen any vehicles come back after 2-3 years with their superchargers still on. They always seemed to leak oil all over the internal superchargers and belts. In 2008 Toyota removed the TRD supercharger as an option. So from my personal experience, i don’t find it reliable. You can believe whatever you wish.

It is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!
Interior looks cheap though
I’m going to get my hands on one of these because it’s a beast! 5.7L which is enough hauling power. But I wish they would have made the interior more elegant and not so 2000 year looking interior.
Why doesn't it have the Multi-Terrain Selection and crawl like the others?
Only on the 4runner and Tacoma. Not sure why its not only the Tundra.
The tundra is 10 years behind all other trucks lol. I traded my tundra for a 19 f150 love it and I know it's not as reliable as a tundra but I'm not keeping it for 10 years anyways. I'd love to keep a tundra for 10 years but got sick of it very quick. And Trd pro amd doesn't have locker lol. More like Trd Show
Is it diesel engine?
I want this one in the Tacoma with out the for wheel drive does the pro come with just two wheel drive ?
I believe all trd pros are 4x4
@@DriversOnly ohhhh ok thanks , I have a trd 2007 Tacoma off road . but I want to look more cool with the pro I dont need four wheel drive .
@@onlythewise1 Lol look more cool? Uh...ok
👍🏾👍🏾 up for the TUNDRA...beefy and bad ass luv it GO TUNDRA
There hava a tundra m/t?
But no rear locking diff?
Nope :(
Will they makes this in VooDoo blue ? Thanks for the review.
Voodoo blue was last years color. It is no longer available.
You can still get voodoo blue on the 2020 TRD Sport and Sport Premium, but not the TRD Pro
@@Chikz0r thanks for letting us know.
Does it have automatic engine start/stop?
I might have missed that.
It would be awesome if it doesn't.
Doesn't :)
Thanks for the info on this truck. I just started looking into thise model of Tundra. I will be trading in my chevy for a trd pro in the near future.
What kind of house is this ?
When we test drove this truck my wife thought it was used bc it looked so dated on the inside lol.....went with an f150 and have no regrets...there's a reason why ford trucks are the best selling for like forever
nothing wrong with ford, also nothing wrong with a truck like Tundra that has proven itself for decades to be the MOST reliable hands down. I don't mind a dated look, I actually like it, and the dependability is 2nd to none.
GhostFace2583 yeah fleet sales.
Look at where the parts were made from on The Ford Vs The tundra.
Where is Parker?
I’m 5 11 and I have no problem getting into my try pro
New here love how positive 95% everyone is
Torn on t he crash test. Poor results
tundra is 24 inches longer than a sequioa-not the same. I appreciate you picked up on the drone noise, I added a different exhaust that had more throat than stock but a lot less drone than trd duals
I added duel flow master to mine an i love it , v8 is supposed to be beefy
If been on the fence on buying a tundra TRD pro. Now I find out the Tundra gets poor ratings for a crash test called driver and front passenger overlap. I’m curious what others think and just how serious those poor safety ratings are.
One thing I never understood about the Toyota Tundra is how come they don't put the tundra name on the back of the truck center right below the handle. It always throws me off when it's to the right or to the left it just looks at a place Aleve for my money I would want it right in the center just like they put the Toyota logo in the front of the truck
They say its dated, cause they,'re jeolous it looks good
Gas gauge already on empty 😔
while I appreciate the durability ,Toyota real needs to step up to the new decade. The interior and fuel mileage are from 2000.
very true... We've got a 15 and it look ancients inside...
The 2021 will be a redesign...you'll see it in a few weeks in Detroit Auto Show.
Some people like myself like old school, many like tech , but it comes down to reliability
@@Sethg1183 word is 2022 release so we won't see much for a while
Im 100% fine with the way it is.
they should turn the middle console into a seat and put the shifter next to the steering wheel
TRD "pro" = ultimate offroad: but doesn't have a locking differential.
Right lol
Dont need one
Do they come with a front bench seat version?
Not on the TRD pro.
My 2014 has duel exhaust flow master 40s an its loud an i love it 😎
Dash looks just like my 2015
Good review, not sure why they call it a Pro and it doesn’t even have Crawl Control system, they need to add the same off road system that the 4 runner , Tacoma , and land cruiser has and then call it a pro . You can get a regular TRD Tundra add a skid plate , fox reservoir shocks and boom you have the same truck .
True tundra and sequoia do not have crawl control or rear lock for trd pro...maybe in the future.
Meet the new 2020 tundra, same as the old tundra
"I'm going back on this freeway that has a lot of imperfections like dips and divots" ...yeah buddy that's every road in the Chicago land area😆 welcome to our neck of the woods
If, you ever visit California U R gonna say "What tha fuck"
Fuck up roads everywhere.
What...! No bed liner...
This would be even better with the TRD turbocharger they discontinued a few years ago.
@@lokkstarproductions6918 You really do jump off the deep end. It's a funny coincidence. Go answer your own questions.
The silver trim is dated needs a different color. I wonder if they have aftermarket covers for that.
This is my next truck
My Dream truck ...loved
Great video!!!
I was about to buy this truck but I bought the brand new ram rebel instead because the ram interior is soooooo much better.
Nice, going to review the rebel soon
Hope it lasts and runs well for you. All the reliability issues between the Big 3 has me looking at this Tundra. I’ve had GM my whole life
So love from Cambodia 🇰🇭❤️
