    I think these cases are really cleverly put together for easy servicing & cleaning. About the only negative is the non-standard size of the power supply.

      Yes agree minimal effort to remove componants. Cpu cooler is easier to take out and reinstall compared to stock intel/amd. Not sure if psu could be any bigger. They are reliable though imo.

    These PeeCees can be upgraded to a quad-core Q9505 CPU -- they're dirt-cheap on eBay -- which is a big help if you tend to open a lot of FireFox tabs. I can confirm that they can use up to 16GB of RAM, which goes for under USD $50 on eBay and is also very helpful when FireFox starts gobbling memory with dozens of open tabs. Not sure what those upgrades would do for gaming because that's just not my thing. Cheers! 😎

      Good advice there. Unfortunately I no longer have the pc otherwise would have tried that cpu upgrade.

    Not the best used PC for a retasked gaming rig, but they have other uses....Mine is a Q6600 Core Two Duo @2.4GHZ 2GB RAM and an 80GB spinning platter HDD. It's my OPNsense firewall machine and has never missed a beat. Apart from reboots after upgrades to the system OS, it has been running 24/7/365 for the last 8 years non stop. It NEVER gets hot, makes very little sound when running and does all the firewall tasks with ease, the CPU has hardly touched the upper side of 20% usage and never gets hotter than 55 degrees. The only downside with them is the power supply, the board has a weird connector and only takes the factory power supply, and they are almost impossible to get now. I have 4 of these and they are parts donation machines for the firewall machine now, but so far, I haven't had to use any parts form any of them. Bulletproof old things.....

      Ok for older games and should play Team Fortress2, Valorant, Paladins, Zula and similar games which do not need a high spec mahince.

    i7 3770, gtx 1050ti LP, 16GB ram.
    Nice lowspec gaming PC for less than £150.
    (edit not this PC but the HP Compaq 6300 sff, same price on ebay though)

      Just got an elite 8300 with that cpu. Added 16gb ram, ssd and bigger hdd. Unfortunately cannot add 1050 due to budget. Got r5 430 2gb so testing that at the moment.

      @@computerrefurbishment9748 Not a bad card, similar to an Nvidia gt 1030 iirc, you should be able to do a fair bit of gaming with that for sure.

      Hi the pc is socket 775 and the highest rated cpu it will take is a core 2 quad "Q" cpu or xeon therefore.

    • @editorjuno
      @editorjuno Рік тому

      @@computerrefurbishment9748 -- Wrong. It has no trouble accommodating a quad-core -- and dirt-cheap -- Q9505 CPU.

      @@editorjuno That's correct my comment did mention a Q quad core but not the specific model.
