Good on you for upgrading, I’ve got pretty much the same setup. Great power to cost!
That big drive you installed the SSD under is actually the DVD drive, the HDD is under the power supply. If you pop the front cover off, there’s special screws for mounting new drives.
With the sata ports, the top dark blue is the fastest port, so I’d recommend plugging your SSD into it. The HDD into the next, then the DVD into the white one next to the black.
    👍

I have this same PC to this day in my home lab. Another great thing to do is to remove the front panel (face plate) as well as that black shield housing the fan and vacuum those areas. If you've never done this, you might puke when you see the thickness of the dust. Mine looked like wall insulation it was so thick. I feel like the computer runs much faster since I've done that. Although as per your video, I will add an SSD to run things faster while keeping my original HDD (located under the power supply) as storage. I actually game on a PS4 and added an SSD there and the performance is light-years better, so I'm looking forward to this upgrade. Great video. Cheers!

Im currently upgrading the same comp. What u were calling your hdd was actually your optic drive. Your hdd is mounted under your psu. I actually removed the optic drive and with some creativity and 2 pci extensions, i have a full size 1650 in mine. 16 gigs ram, 256ssd and 500hdd for storage. The comps are so fun to upgrade. Came with upgraded i5 cpu so it rocks.

1:30 Yeah, I recommend it too since my last ( very old ) computer died since I didnt de-dust the motherboard and more importantly the fan. The fan was soo packed with dust (disgusting I know) that the fan stopped worked - thus overheated the cpu. Now on this computer Im always checking my 'dust levels'.

I believe the thing you refer to as a hard drive is actually a DVD ROM drive. The rectangular hunk of metal underneath the power supply, I believe...but I could be wrong, looks like it might be the hard drive. That's just my opinion, like I said...I could be very wrong!

You made a huge mistake, SATA ports on the motherboard are not the same, the blue one on the left is SATA 3.0, the next is SATA 3.0, the next is SATA 2.0 for the optical drive, and the last one (the one you used) is ESATA 2.0 for detachable devices. Change your sad to the blue or the next to it to have full 6Gbps speed.

1030 isn’t as beefy, as the 1050ti is the best you can have in that case, and it’s only a relatively small/medium increase in price, get the 1050 if you can.
4Gb RAM is too little, you need at least 8, 16 is the best. It has plenty of ram slots so keep buying 4Gb cards when you can and fill it up.
