💥 I'm turning blind by high cortisol level. CSR - Central Serous Retinopathy is a terrible disease caused by excessive cortisol and stress. My left eye is almost lost, and the right one has dark spots at the center. It's in a chronic state now for 16 years. And since last month, I'm on a descend spiral. Every I do worsens the situation, I almost can't sleep anymore, I'm overwhelmed, too much worried about everything, depressed, anxious. This video came on the right time. Thank God ! 🎉❤
I went to a lavender festival in cherry valley ca...this festival was located within close proximity to acres of lavender fields...just the continuous scent of lavender was enough to keep me calm and so contented through the day.
This is an under rated video that deserves alot of views and focus to anybody dealing with psychological issues as well. After an year of anxiety and another year of medication and still getting those bursts.. learning and practicing things that actually helped me. All of it is summed up here , I'm yet to try more of nutrients like magnesium, but exercise, focus on gut health, breathing (box, sudarshan kriya) if stress is like fire, all these are like water shower, though we think how are they gonna help with stress, they are not addressing the cause of stress ...but these are magical things that changes our view, or equips us to handle things with ease. I wish I had seen this video earlier.
Topic: As an Olympic Decathlete and Holistic Doctor, you would know about, and have personal experience, this. Strength building in conjunction with a ketogenic nutritional program. My personal interest in this is diagnoses of MS and Type 2 Diabetes. I've lowered A1C from 12.9 to 6.4 in 10 weeks, gone from 250 to 185 lbs in 5 months (since March) and feel like I can start to exercise now (and have started 30-minute, overall body, resistance band workout) to overcome muscle atrophy in right leg, neuropathy in feet, overall weakness, etc. Seeing many positive results already
Wayne Rogers for muscle atrophy, joints...check into acupressure. I had neurologists, all kinds of specialists making money on tests or whatsoever attest that I am close to a paraplegic and there is no need to test again. Accidentally in Singapore I ran into a reflexologist who after an hour rubbing at one same location in between toes, I walked out with no pain for the rest of my life. I didn't know Keto then and many acupressure practitioners are vegetarians eating one meal a day. I vowed never go back to those specialists, only listen to Dr Eikberg, my favorite and practice acupressure daily besides the list of things shown on this video. Life is perfect and I'm grateful. Check out the temples. The monks are not there to make money. You have to see their practice to believe. Know that they can show you how to cure because they believe if anything comes back within 6 months then they did not cure anything. Trust me, you will be cured.
My husband has a high stress job and gets very little sleep. He had two major episodes that really scared him so we got bloodwork done. It showed his A1c was 5.8. He immediately went off of sugars and carbs not coming from vegetables and started working on sleeping and breathing. It has been 3 weeks and he still gets shaky when his blood sugar drops. Thank you for all of this information. We are hopeful that things will improve soon.

I picked up weight after my son was senselessly murdered. I just beat cancer (caused by stress) and I’m still gaining weight. I watch what I eat, I’ve been drinking water, walking, went to the doctor and gained 3 pounds, which is adding to more stress and depression. I don’t know how to let go. We didn’t even get efficient justice. I internalized it. I’ve been to counseling…This is horrible! I’m super petite. I’ve never been this big in my life

This is outstanding a person who dealing with chronic stress & anxiety , looking out for solutions got such nice advise from such great person you make my morning & you make my day.
Before: MAYBE I'll watch this one. During: He's got me taking notes again. 😁 But seriously, Doctor, thank you for such beneficial information and for the organized way you present it to us, which seems to even be perfect for my ADHD brain. 🥰
Breathing is one of the fundamentals of Yoga, one of the first basic steps is called "Pranayama", which is deep breathing. Of course, it progresses to other levels as one gets used to it! It also said that advance levels lead to spiritual awakening!
I've been doing this intermittent fasting this quarantine. But these trying times are also stressful, that's why I wake up in the middle of the night. Thanks for explaining and for your tips, Doc!
Saying this after months spent watching multiple channels and videos relating to health and nutrition: Dr. Sten Ekberg is more trust worthy than many popular speakers out there (don't want to name names). I have yet to find a biased or false statement, which I would find in others'. No doctor is perfect, but I find Dr. Ekberg creates very thorough, reliable content.
I used to manage a health supplement shop, and ginseng was marketed to us as an energising agent that stimulates the body, like caffeine in many ways. It can cause diarrhoea, insomnia, headaches, rapid heartbeat, blood pressure fluctuations, and more. To anyone reading this, please be careful with ginseng, especially if you haven’t used it before. Personally, I wouldn’t use it for stress, especially if you suffer from anxiety to any degree. Some studies seem to say it might be useful in treating stress and regulating certain body rhythms, but from years of personal experience in dealing with customers who have tried it, it appears the opposite is often true. It makes many people’s bodies react as if they are in fight or flight mode. Very stress inducing!
wow, i am now retired from law enforcement, but I have been tested and found to be high in cortisol and it makes sense, as, a police officer gets this high stress and then quiet, several times a day. then later, went on to take police and fire calls and the same thing… quiet, then bam! a high stress call that can last for a very long time. its no wonder it has taken a bit of a toll on my body over the years. thank you for this video.

Heard much about negative effects of cortisol but never had such a complete guide on this important subject that affects health. Not long i tumbled on your videos and find your presentations VERY fulfilling indeed. Maybe because of your teaching method that I personally admire as a teacher myself. Thanks doc and keep it up
Thanks Dr.! This was so helpful. I'm 26 and I'm recovering from hormonal/metabolic dysfunction from 7 years of undereating/overexcising and poor stress management. I'm learning so much on this journey. I thought I was doing everything right by eating SUPER "clean" and eliminating carbs and red meats and fats and working out vigorously 5x or more a week. I'm learning now that less is more
This video has explained much for me at 66 carrying weight but also shows me how to assist my heart out of not one but two episodes of takosubo syndrome which has had me on beta blockers which have slowed down my energy levels. Have just taken myself off the beta blockers. Introduced small yoga stretches every 2nd day. Thank you.
this is pure gold! I've known for years that my cortisol is too high and is causing my hypertension. But when I asked my doctors for years what to do to drop cortisol I'm told nothing about diet, only reduce stress through meditation. So grateful for this video and the one about sugar because now I have tools to plan healing and get off BP meds.
Thank you so much for this. I've been searching so long for some in-depth answers to the cortisol problem. I've been doing a strict keto diet and monitoring of my calories, macros, and weight and have been frustrated to have stalls in progress after I've had a highly stressful week. The only metric that had changed was the stress level.
One thing you left out from the solution list was ‘nature’. I go walking and sketching in forests and woods, being around trees makes me de-stress. I recommend it to everyone.
Hello, i just have discovered your videos a few days ago, and i already watched several of them. I love the way you explain concepts, so calm, clear, very easy to understand. Best Regards from the caribbean 🇩🇴🌴☀️
Vilken underbar video! Folk har aldrig fattat varför jag inte vill ta del av hög intensiva träningspass utan insisterar på att simma och gå långa promenader i naturen istället. Detta förklarar det perfekt.
Thank you very much! I recently found out I have adrenal hyperplasia and always felt something was not quite right. You have a nice, clear, soothing voice and presentation. I will try your suggestions. Frank
I lived in tremendous stress most of my life. I grew up having a war and whatnot, educated myself so hard, but never had a chance of a normal life. Lots of loss, sorrow and I feel the best when I work and do something, help someone, I'm also an artist. At the same time working very hard, and having so many responsibilities, and a horrible society I lived in until 8 yrs ago. I'm for sure working for a long time to get back on track, I'm tired of pain, inflammation, stiff shoulders, anxiety when I'm tired and cannot do more. I need to pay more attention on recovery in between heavy efforts but it's not always possible. Here I got some more good ideas and explanations of why do I feel so bad all time and I'm overall healthy and in a great body shape. Just tired and disheartened a lot
I relate to a lot of what you've explained. Especially the growing up in toxic environments. Sorrow has seemed like a steady companion in my life. I've been learning about adrenal fatigue for just a few days now and relate to a lot of it even though I'm only 23. It's easy to feel incredibly disheartened. But we'll get there! I wish you the best
This presentation is a master piece of Dr Ekberg .so clear and perfect solutions explained for controlling and preventing and reducing adrenal stress ..simply Superb ..Thank u sir lots of regards from India.
Speechless! So much truth and meaning in this video Dr Ekberg. So many things which we have forgotten. It's funny how a breathing exercise I learnt in 2003 actually mentioned breathing out and holding the breath as activating the para sympathetic nervous system. And I'd been skimping on it in the past number of years. At that time I didn't know about Cortisol, GH and weight-loss. I'd been doing Keto for a long time with not much result and then in the past year or so got lazy and gained back the weight. Now have again started again. It's most definitely been the cortisol. Since I got married and shifted home my sleep wake cycles changed cz of my husband. Now I need to go back to my old ways of sleeping at least by 11. He's such a night bird but it will need to be done for me by me. I have tests scheduled for Cortisol etc. Hope to surprise my doctor with good results. Funny how a small change can change everything. Thank you Dr Sten... Will follow and make things right again 🤗🤗
I love to have a pet like a small dog but cannot afford it. Going to church to gather with other people and putting charity to practice helps. I also need to laugh 😂 more. I am a single parent and I feel I am always on a go! I love nature walks with sun ☀️ hitting my face plus fasting is great! But, Lord help me !! Calm down a bit 😂 I can get overwhelmed at times with work and my kids! Thanks for this awesome video very appreciated!

I am a german woman with kPTSD. This video helped me understand, why it is so difficult for me to loose weight. The sympathikus needs me to eat carbohydrates to have sufficient glucose for fight or flight situations which I cannnot avoid. What I learned is, that I need to activate the parasympathikus. Thank you for your advice. Maybe you could make a video especially for PTSD concerns?
WOW, that was the MOST complete, informative and comprehensive video I've seen on stress and stressreduction - EVER - and I have seen A LOT. THANK YOU VERY MUCH😄😄😄😄
Best info I've got so far about cortisol and solutions to reduce it. I'm struggling with insomnia and get really anxious during the day and night to sleep. It would be great to have a video about insomnia. Thanks a lot for the tips though.
Try putting 2-3 drops of 100% lavender essential oil (with no fillers) on about two tissues and stuff them in your pillowcase. You will be amazed at how much it relaxes your mind, before you know it you’ll be off to lala land.

Every I do worsens the situation, I almost can't sleep anymore, I'm overwhelmed, too much worried about everything, depressed, anxious. This video came on the right time. Thank God ! 🎉❤
I'm so sorry for you. Hope you heal in Jesus' name. Amen.

I went to a lavender festival in cherry valley ca...this festival was located within close proximity to acres of lavender fields...just the continuous scent of lavender was enough to keep me calm and so contented through the day.
Wow, sounds amazing.
I listen to this channel every day! The only drawback is it ruined majority of other channels being superior on so many ways 👍
This video could be titled "How to live your life". Outstanding as always, Thank you Dr. Ekberg.
I agree with you. Thanks for sharing that.

Stress is just another word for fear. And fear is almost always a response to an exaggerated threat.
I break my OMAD fast daily by watching any of your videos, best Brain Stimulus ever!
Finally, I now understand why I can’t sleep or stay still or focussed when fasting . Thanks
Excellent video. I've read a book on cortisol, oxytocin, serotonin, adrenaline and endorphins. This just cements what I've read.
Thanks 👍🏿
Good job!!!
Inspiring!
Great job, Wayne. I am dealing with many of the same issues.
What is it this crazy habit of not eating carbs ? Carbs are not the problem.
Have some saltines on hand for him. Im the same way.
He could try DIM 100mg. It helps cortisol and high estrogen.

Absolutely the best vid on adrenal fatigue I've ever seen. Thanks doc, you rock!
Adrenal fatigue is when your adrenals can't produce more cortisol. It's different. 👍

I have finally understood why i have some of my health problems. Thank you!
Good morning Dr. Ekberg, I just want to say thank you for teaching these things, I learned a lot especially on topics of IF, healthy eating, and weight loss. I myself already loss 6.5 kg since i started IF 3-4 weeks ago 😊💕. My BMI was 30.7 last Aug.10, 2021 and now its down to 28.6 Oct.4, 2021… I hope I can reach the healthy level….🙏😊 Please continue doing this, you are helping many people…. sincerely, Charlie from Philippines 🇵🇭 😊💕

Thank you for this video fo us fellow health champions! I would like to know more about which foods contain Vit B1and B5 please 🙏
thank you
The best stress reduction program, and watching Dr. Ekberg is so calming.
You don't want to name names because you can't remember their names,,,
@@lightbeingpontifex You are living in your own tiny world with a tiny little mind.
Works wonders for me
Different types of ginseng have different effects.
wow, i am now retired from law enforcement, but I have been tested and found to be high in cortisol and it makes sense, as, a police officer gets this high stress and then quiet, several times a day. then later, went on to take police and fire calls and the same thing… quiet, then bam! a high stress call that can last for a very long time. its no wonder it has taken a bit of a toll on my body over the years. thank you for this video.
Needed this when I was in the military. Thanks for this great presentation!!!!!

I'm learning now that less is more
Hi Doctor, I watch your videos daily. Learning a lot and have already reduced 5kg from IF, HIIT + OMAD in 2mths. Thank u for your teachings.
This is not just Health advice. This is key wellness at his best. Thanks very much.
Nobody explained this so well before! Thank you for sharing this very useful information and for your method of explaining it.
Vielen Dank, Dr. Sten immer wieder eine Freude ihren Vortrag anzuhören. Sie sind Leuchtfeuer menschlicher Vernunft.
Thank you.
I have PTSD and there have been times where my stress level was so high that I felt it impairing my cognition.

this is pure gold!
I'll relax when I retire.
Till then, I'm working 24/7
Thank God for HEX
You have a nice, clear, soothing

I've just realized when people are stressed telling them to "calm down" doesn't work. It is infact likely to push stress up.
Whenever I do the Hitt excercises my body feels very relaxed..
@@rebeccaferguson6356 I hope you caught the source on time, and now you need to get away from whatever was holding you back and will be better
