Jamie, I work in a corporate 9-5 and Davis gets us through the day. We reference him all day everyday and anyone older than a millennial does not understand which makes it even funnier speaking as a very negative person, we all need this kind of positivity in our lives.

As a long distance runner who ran many a half and full marathons, “runners trots” or shitting yourself is truly a thing, every race I ran, I saw at least one person who ran so hard there GI tract goes off the rails, it’s usually due to not being hydrated enough, I never wanted to be that person, he’s showing the world he was that day, he seems like a genuine person who truly wants to brighten other people’s day, bravo to you sir👏

I had a boss like this. He would tear up in meetings, he was nervous often and had to talk himself up. He always insisted he wasn't very bright. But that man could motivate a team of angry opossums to haul a barge up a hill, and he never had to claim we were family or buy us pizza.
When someone does stuff with real passion, it's hard not to get behind them. Even if they are small. And especially if they know their lane and don't pester anyone outside of it.
It's like when a group of drunk girls gasses you up, and it's so small and meaningless, but then you strut around for hours like you are the greatest and it's just easier to get things done.

Your boss sounds so cute! I had an amazing boss as well, who was also a major finance role in my town (key player on the board that runs the town) and he perfectly mastered the art of being everyone's best friend, helper, personal adviser, motivator AND knowing when/how to be firm when needed. He'd buy us coffee or hot chocolate every day and was genuinely compassionate and caring. When I first met him I was on guard because I couldn't believe that a person of authority could be so down to earth and wholesome. I miss him.

The bizarre thing of it is, no one who actually had “locked in syndrome” could make a self-directed video about having it, since it makes the person incapable of speaking or moving anything except their eyes. The horror of locked-in syndrome is the fact that people are 100% conscious and aware of everything said to them and done to them, with no ability whatsoever to acknowledge or communicate. They seem catatonic, but are in fact fully “there,” just incapable of letting people know. So it would be impossible for it to be a self-expressed diagnosis on TikTok.

I've heard a lot of marathon runners say they wet and poop themselves because they don't want to lose their time.
@@lexwithbub Yeaaaaah running gets your intestines moving pretty good and going for a good jog is actually a great way to naturally stimulate a bowel movement. So competitions are a little more fecal than the average non runner might imagine. 😂 I ran XC in high school and our coaches wouldn't leave until every single one of us was back buuuuuut at one point my running partner and I both had to go during practice and peeled off to use a Wendy's bathroom and ended up getting back extremely late. They were both livid thinking we got tired and just walked the whole way because they couldn't find us on the route. The wind immediately left their sails when we admitted we were taking a shit. 💀
@@tinkercat8268 While getting a bit of the runs is fairly normal people aren't urinating on themselves for their times. Most races aren't long enough for someone's bladder to give out - runners pee before they start and if they don't that's on them 💀 - but the nerves and extra stimulation does cause poo slippage. But some people will stop running to go for a bowel movement depending on the severity. But this guy was obviously one of the runners of the mindset that you finish the race first. Or it happened literally towards the end of the race and it would have legitimately been a waste for him to stop so close to the finish line. Or a combination of both considering he ain't even have a problem putting his HAND IN IT. 🤢 But yeah. Some people do seriously refuse to stop running for their times but it's honestly usually a legitimate accident and stopping after you've already shat yourself is kind of futile. Might as well finish the race and not fuck up your time over something as silly as a running biohazard.
So, as a middle school educator, after watching this, I'm a lot less annoyed to hear this phrase every single day. This guys actually seems wholesome and it's refreshing that my students are finding something positive and motivational to tune into. I actually enjoy them telling each other to "lock in" because it actually does seem to motivate them. They are being motivated, and they get that positive interaction with their peers and feel mutually encouraged.
Reading this before I post it, it sounds super corny and I guess it is lol I'm leaving it though because this made my day. Now I can tell them to lock in and smash that worksheet lol
