I've been saying it forever, Gina needs to more "On Air" opportunities. She totally crushed this!!!!
Aww, thank you so much!! I really appreciate it 🥰🥰
@@Ginaippy2you're an exceptional writer but my goodness you are a NATURAL on camera. More Gina please!!!
@@aaronbrrrrr Thank you so much, this is so nice of you to say!
Awesome review. Crisp clean and you gave great background info so we understood what was happening. Your doing great. 👍 😊
Great to have a fan do the breakdown!
It genuinely felt Tennant and Bernard saw each other for the first time again during that ending scene.
The moment you pronounced RTD's name right I was SO RELIEVED.
Hahaha I watched a bunch of interviews with him just to make sure I was hearing it correctly, and then took to Twitter to confirm, because I didn't want to revert back to how I THOUGHT it was pronounced for years!
And then ruined it by getting Bernard cribbin’s name wrong…
@@jamieguadagni9325 I got his name wrong? How so?
@@Ginaippy2I think they were being a bit nitpick-y because of the inflection you used on “Bernard”. In England we usually pronounced it “Ber-nud” (equal emphasis on both syllables) rather than “Ber-nard” - if that makes sense(?) And I think the late Mr. Cribbins was more the former than the latter. I don’t think it really matters though as your video was great and I hope to see you on the channel more, especially for Dr Who content. Your enthusiasm shines through!
@@Ginaippy2loved your feedback ❤
4:10 The HADS first appeared in the 1969 second Doctor story The Krotons.
The TARDIS took the Doctor to the edge of the universe in 1975's Planet o Evil.
Thanks, Gina, very well done. I hope you get lots more opportunities to share your views and reviews with us in the future.
Thank you!!
This episode was honestly fairly creepy and I absolutely loved it
Indeed
I just finished watching it, it was very doctor who ish
15:00 A animated version of The Celestial Toymaker is coming to DVD and Blu Ray soon.
Move over Eric, I think I have a new favorite commentator for doctor who, absolutely love this breakdown
❤❤❤❤
What a great breakdown. Please do more Who after the anniversary specials. It's one of the most creatively bonkers sci-fi shows ever and has a dedicated fan base. The viewing stats may not match that for MCU or SW but those that tune in will really appreciate it.
6:30 OMG Eric jump-scared me!! 😱
Parts of this episode are what Secret Invasion was supposed to be. If only
Loving these three episodes so far! It felt like an old friend’s hug
Okay Gina, you need to do this on-screen for every doctor who epsiode. And this is me speaking as a english Doctor Who fan from the UK, I give you my blessing.
Big Dr Who fan and can't wait to watch the third part.
David Tenant hasn't lost his flair for the Time Lord. He smashed it, and so did Catherine Tate👏👏
Matt Smith is still my favourite Time Lord though.😂😂
Best Who episode since Capaldi.
You speak the true true.
Rosa was a good episode
There were a lot of great Whittaker episodes. Once people get over their sexism and quit being butthurt over too-high expectations, Jodie's era will be praised.
0:25 That Woolsthorpe Manor House which is the house where Isaac Newton was born and is just down the road from me.
Oh damn! That's awesome!
The it’s not your fault moment was chilling and 14’s I know was heartbreaking.
These three specials were incredible. They really did a good job with the writing, albeit feeling a little bit rushed. Absolutely loved the walk down nostalgia lane.
I also noticed the robot looked like Marvin, and also thought the episode reminded me of the Midnight ep
The slow relavation of everything adds so much to the episode.
GREAT WORK GINA ...ANOTHER WHOVIAN FAN LIVES!!!
This episode explains the butterfly effect perfectly
I've been refreshing this account all week for this breakdown! 💙💙
@12:04 Was the use of a Supernatural clip featuring “The Doctor” from Star Trek: Voyager a deliberate choice, or just an apt coincidence?
Congrats, Gina, and thanks for this great video!
Thank you for watching it!!
Gina, you were absolutely (#9's last few words to Rose) FANTASTIC!! Hope to see you do all of the episode breakdowns going forward with a proper pronunciation of Daleks 😂
Hexagons are the bestagons.
Congrats for Erik and his wife!
Many thanks for this awesome breakdown, Gina!
Thank you for watching it and I'm so glad you liked it!
I'm so happy you are doing these breakdowns! Doctor Who is my one fandom I know too much about. It's nice to hear a breakdown from a channel I already love.
the TARDIS in this episode was just like: Drop 14 and Donna somewhere incredibly dangerous, run away, refuse to elaborate
When I saw the robot I thought it would speak and sound like Marvin
Such a great breakdown!!!!
Thank you!!
This episode actually creeped me out. Great job
This episode was awesome. I think, years from now, we'll be talking about this as a classic episode. But, I never knew Issac Newton looked like Troy Polamalu. 😉
3 people know who Troy Polamalu is 😂
You have NO IDEA how long I've waited for this video
(Actually you do, it's 6 days. Six days
Yessssss, I hope you enjoy it!
@@Ginaippy2of course! Love it when we infiltrate the Americans. 😈
Great job! Felt your love of the show.
Thank you!!
NPH apparently didn't even know what Doctor Who was before being offered the role... But he's fantastic, I bet he pulls some of his Olaf acting out during it
Love from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤ Great video ❤
Yaaas thank you so much for covering Doctor Who!!!!
Thank you for watching!!
Congratulations to Erik the new Papa! 🙏🥰
Congrata on the bebe!
Also loved the horror elements Dr Who constantly nails.
Fantastic Breakdown, Gina!
Thank you so much!
I’m gonna keep saying this, but i’m certain that the salt thing is gonna be an ongoing story arch for 15th
omg pls yes that was great
Well… i was clever, but not the 15th huh…
Finally! Was waiting for this!
Cannot wat to see the toymaker. Remember reading about him a lot when I first started doctor who and when I heard this was him I was so excited!!! Also Bernard cribbins scene made me cry a bit
hi Gina, i liked this analysys and you ) adored your singing and mentioning the best show of all times - The X-files :D
Gina that was great! Loved that episode ( some dodgy VFX aside, am sure Eric would have had to mention that too actually 😂) and loved this breakdown x
Honestly. Russell has brought the show back to true form!
Ah yes, the 'Among Us' episode...
Gina for all the WHO breakdowns
Thank you Gina!
Thank you for watching!
I was right! She's great. Nice to meet you Gina!
Hey Gina! You're great❤
Oh my gosh thank you!! ☺☺
Great Work Gina!!!
Thank you so much!!
The Captain Jack point is hilarious. This is his dream incarnation
Great job!!!
Thanks so much!
i kind of pray that we will see jack come back and see the doctor again
I agree but John Barrow an has been a bit of a naughty boy so may not be welcome back into the fold. It'd be great if he did come back and I imagine RTD would love the opportunity to work him into a story.

This episode scares me a bit because identity theft isn’t a joke
millions of families suffer every year
More Gina please. It would be really cool if she could breakdown every GI Joe cartoon episode ever made as well. Just sayin'.
Oh my god. My dream.
My arm is too long
Great job, Gina!
Thank you!!
I think Donna knows but just isn't telling him because she knows him and knows he wouldn't want her to know about all of that so she pretends not to know.
Mazal tov Eric!!! 😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 many happy years!!❤❤❤
Great vid
omg i actualy ugly cried when i saw Wilf again
Saaaaaame.
Such a good episode
My headcanon is still that The Timeless Child is actually The Master, but in order to avoid the wrath of The Master they pinned it as The Doctor since he's more forgiving
Thanks👍🏼
Reminded me of midnight tbh
The Not-Things felt very similar to the not-thems from The Magnus Archieves. It probably isn't the case, but I like to the the writers were inspired by the podcast
Congrats to Eric
This is so cool
The HADS was first mentioned in the second Doctor story the Krotons!
Wilfred we salute you
Let’s ditch “celestial” as the BBC have done. 🤙🏼
Why?!
@@1funkyflyguy bc (very weirdly) the word “celestial” also meant Asian when the first one came out, thus the stereotypical get-up was part of a pun: both Asian and having to do with space and the universe. Since it’s DW and we know things are gonna be cosmic, there’s no need to reinforce what was a racist pun, even if it was seen as harmless at the time, so they dropped that whole aspect.
HADS was first seen in the Patrick Troughton story 'The Krotons' 😛
What episode is that with cribbins on the left side when he's young at 14:22
its an old non-canon doctor who movie from the sixties, cribbins played the companion
3:48. And then revive to die again. He can't die.
1:31 does that mean it’s Adams’ Apple?? 🍎 😂
Yeah Gina!!
🥰🥰🥰
Using 5th when describing 4th is indeed a sin
1:45 why the shade for at the American Ghosts?
I LOVE Gina! 😁😁
More Gina please, from a fellow Whovian.
Thank you!!
@@Ginaippy2 You've made my day with this response! 🙂
I still like the idea of galifrey lying to doctors about this to force a religion
Not gonna lie, I was nervous seeing New Rockstars covering Doctor Who. In the past I have seen Doctor Who coverage get pretty toxic with the fanbase and didn't want to see that happen here.
I'm too big a Doctor Who fan to ever go toxic on it!
Gina .. 🙌❤️
☺☺☺
You know that all the episode audio’s exist right?…. just listen to the first 3 episode reconstructions and you won’t be confused…
The Fact That Tenant Will Be Gone Once Again tommorow Makes Me sad
...
🔥
Sorry gotta point out the visitation was a 5th doctor story not a 4th doctor one
I thought this doctor who was not allowed to come back after doctor who lore? I’ve not caught up w this show in years
He regenerated back into that version of himself for these specials and so far it's been a mystery as to why.
6:11 Yes Time Lords have a stronger sense of taste and smell than humans.
It's just "The Toy Maker'" Only in series 1 did The Doctor say celestial (lowercase) as to imply they are from the stars. Calling them Celestial Toy Maker is not only canon wrong hut against all writers ever
K.
Mad seeing big U.S. UA-cam channels like this one covering Doctor Who. Doctor Who must be one of Disney's only major successes this year, and even then they only own the streaming rights.
1 & 1
12:00 that's a fairy not a demon in the scene shown
So galifrey is krypton now?
