  • APEX flow formed ARC-8 18x9.5 ET35 fitment test.
Will these wheels fit the front of E9x chassis? Let's find out.
In this video I'm talking about wheels fitment again and here is a few key moments:
    1. My current wheel setup is 4 x EC-7 18x9 ET43.
I wanted to have a conservative look as far as the offset goes, when I was getting those.
I also wanted a square setup and these wheels provide that with one exception - I needed
5mm spacers for the front (with Koni yellow struts).
Switch to H&R coilovers imposed a need to add 10+mm spacers, due to their strut
    design.
That made the front wheels sit less perfect, but it still was okay, in part thanks to the addition
of camber plates that gave me about -2.5 degree of negative camber - which translates to more
    tire-to-fender clearance.
    2. I don't like using spacers. That made me think I could go with wheels that have a less
conservative offset - to clear the struts without spacers.
Any 18x9 ET35 wheels would do that.
APEX's end of the year sale is also a good time to upgrade your wheels.
    3. Being curious about possibilities, I decided to try to fit 18x9.5 ET35 wheels in the front.
Or at least to see how ugly it could turn out.
These are a verified to fit for the rear of E90 chassis, so I knew they would work as my
2 rear wheels, if the front fitment wasn't a go.
    4. I found out that 18x9.5 ET35 wheels still require at least a 5mm spacer to clear those H&R
struts. Because of this, these wheels will go to the back end of my car.
    5. 18x9 ET35 is the size that will work in the front without any spacers.
    6. Lastly. It seems I confused some ppl by saying "deep dish" referencing to the profile of ARC-8
wheels. APEX ARC-8 wheels come in two flavors of the face profile - a deep concave and a
shallow concave. Guess that's what I was referring to.
For example, 18x8.5 ET38 is "shallow", 18x9.5 ET35 is "deep" face profile.
Watch one of my videos, where I test the front and rear fitment of ARC-8 18x8.5 wheel on my
    car.
    7. Lastly lastly... I will try to be as polite as I can - don't be a cry baby :-) and say anything like "I'm
not going to watch your videos anymore". What are you, a 20 years old / millennial gen? I don't
care and it doesn't work on mature adults. If you have this attitude, go somewhere else.
I'm doing these videos trying to provide a useful information (or share my experience) to those
individuals / enthusiasts that may need help with their cars - not to attract views or entertain.
In my videos I'm not ever asking anyone to "subscribe" or "hit the like" - begging for that just
shows (that those channels that constantly do this) the lack of confidence as a minimum, it is
repelling in my opinion, or just plainly annoying (same goes for the intros - what a waste of
viewer's time). I only have one sentence down below in the description that suggest that you
may considering subscribing to my channel - and no, it's not the same as if I were to say it in
    my videos.
I should probably do a video on this subject.
I hope this was helpful to someone.

Was thinking of getting 18x9 et30 squared for my 330i LCI, would 9 and et30 be the same effect as 9.5 and et35? Want to have as flush look as possible without rolling the fenders
