      If I recall correctly, that issue can at least be adressed via a software flash of the ECU telling the thermostat to run colder temps.A friend of mine had the same Problem with Oil Temps in his 135i, MHD enabled him to set the temp target and he also replaced the valve to the oil cooler to be permanently open.

    These 130i's are a good platform to build on.
    There's a few options for :
    brakes - both BMW (6 pot performance brakes like this, or 140i 4 pots) and aftermarket;
    suspension - a few off the shelf kits close to OEM and many other aftermarket options;
    LSD - both BMW and aftermarket.
    I have a full E9X M3 rear end fitted to mine (which just needed the M3 prop modified to fit), along with F-series front brakes, BC racing coilovers, and an M3 rack going on soon (to convert from EPAS to HPAS), along with a few other bits.

    Nice lap and a pleasant setup. I have Porsche with 400-500hp and this show that you do not need a ton of horsepower to have much fun.

    Omg I would have pissed myself, that was just pure raw driving. The skills and plus knowing the track and getting into a strangers car and handling with finesse…..I just can’t describe what a great driver you are. Bless you Misha for sharing us your skills and what viewers cars can do.

    Very nice! Man, what a godsend this channel is - so many cool motorsport experiences shared with us.
    Props to the owner for letting us see him no matter what happened. The experience is quite insane :) Props for the setup as well!
    One thing though: oil temps reached almost 150° C! That is danger zone! Hope you had a good oil, but might want to improve cooling for future laps.

    It must feel awesome to sit in the car you built and see it overtake a Ferrari. It has everything you need for a track car, great build!

      I would expect the clutch to be replaced at least once for that much use but other than that, it should be perfectly okay because it's still stock. And I would assume multiple CVT joints have been replaced, too.

    Loving what you're doing Misha, and it's great to see your appreciation for all the different cars people have built. Can't wait for the day when I decide that it's finally time to build a track dedicated car for myself, these videos are giving me loads of ideas.

    very nice driving but i was worried about the oil temp gauge showing 120 degrees celsius plus from hatzenbach on up to 145 degrees in the end. I know the stock gauge is not very accurate but it still seems very high and potentually dangerous depending on the oil you are running.
