Astora greatsword can be used by any build with nice - to - best in class scaling. Versatile moveset with those leo boosted pokes and WA makes it deadly in the right hands. under appreciated/10

Its ability to roll catch is arguably as good or better than the mace and its incredibly low stat requirments make it just perfect. If it had perseverance it would be by far my favorite weapon.

Insane range, low weight and stat requirements, hyperarmor that can compete with a Greatsword, absurdly high damage with the right setup, the only thing it lacks is a stronger weapon art.

Dude. People sleep on the Followers Javelin. Its lowkey really really good. I started using one for an undyne cosplay build, and ended up falling in love with it. Honestly deserves a 9 out of 10 imo.

I’m glad you gave the partizan the respect it deserves. It has the only moveset in the spear class that’s actually fun to play. Two players dueling with partizans is a great time.
You could just rate by class and the video wouldn't really change much. I hate how similar DS3's weapons are, especially with Weapon Arts. How many hammers have perseverance? How many Axes have Warcry? How many Straight Swords/Greatsword have Stance? How many Ultra Greatswords have stomp? How many Curved swords have a spin move? Basically all the exceptions come from the DLC, which did have really cool weapons. For as many problems as DS2 has, weapon variety isn't one of them.
After finishing my first playthrough of the game with only the Caestus I would like to say that 10/10 is accurate for the pvp I encountered. However, the lack of range made fights like Darkeater Midir and Nameless King very difficult. If anyone has questions about my journey using the Caestus throughout the game feel free to ask. Other than that, pretty good list and video.
Neverlasting Dragon yeah I don’t think I agree. Anyone that knows that True combo will not dare to get close because they simply cannot afford being hit. But being fair, ANY crystal weapon (either by the spell or infusion) is good. A crystal Lothric Knight SS gets 500+ AR with 50 INT. A crystal Lothric knight UGS has about 800 AR. A crystal dagger with Hornet ring does over 1300 HP. A crystal Astora UGS had about 700 AR dealing more than 1k with it’s weapon art. My point is, melee magic builds > full caster build

The heysel pick is the best weapon for a caster build, and is far more effective as a mage build than the conventional ones most people use. (Also, crystal lothric ugs is not a good idea because of triple split damage.)
Dete My 450 dmg/hit says otherwise about that split damage! I guess you are right though. The only problem with the Heysel Pick is how predictable it is. On my mage build, I mainly use the little Homing Missiles things (not the crystal ones). While those little things are on me I either buff or use regular Soul Arrow. Why? Because of two reasons. 1. If Homing Soul lands then Soul Arrow will also land, dealing about 400 dmg. 2. If it misses, I keep doing it until the opponent starts rolling just by sound. When it reaches that point, I swap to Heavy Soul Spear (forgot name, it’s 3am and I’m hungry) and it *sometimes* lands. If it does land it will deal about 600 dmg which I can follow up with an R1. If it DOESNT land then they should be close enough for an R1 swing of my Lothric Knight SS. If they are using a poise a weapon I simply use Astora UGS and well, fack them. I’ve been recently playing with a Pyro build and I gotta say something about them: It is soooo easy to be a pyro than a Mage. I could elaborate on that, but I’m hungry.
