People, it's been 4 years. The tree jump is not going to be patched. It's a feature not a bug.
Ok tod
It’s been too long since this game has been updated anyways.

I did the tree jump just under an hour to go just for the fun of it
It worked yesterday !
Bruh, it’s 2021. Not only did we survive 2020, but that tree has survived any and all patches because it’s literally a part of the game
Literally all they'd have to do to fix that tree is change its angle in any direction at any time.

As of January 2021 the tree jump is possible. It seems it will soon be patched

"There are so many of these in dark souls III"
proceeds to fall for every illusory wall message.
I dunno if this is the case in Dark Souls 3 but in Dark Souls 1 the "seeking guidance" miracle allows you to see how many appraisals are negative and how many are positive. I dunno as I'm not a cleric in DS3
"seek guidance" does not require much thou, I'm quality and was able to use it without much work (as in none at all)
Inferry Yeh but I prefer having my attunement slots outfitted with stealth spells (hidden body, spook and hidden weapon mostly)
When I first played Dark Souls 1 I hit any wall I thought was suspicious, whether there was a message or not, there were just so many walls that looked like doors

5:15 Yellowfinger Heysel isnt the first NPC invasion in the game, Holy Knight hodrick is in the undead setlement
He said first invasion FROM Yellowfinger. She has a second one in the swamp, near the Basilisks.
That’s if u don’t join mound makers
Hodrick kicked my ass
@@bluethunderbolt9631 He said "your first NPC invasion, from Yellowfinger". You can clearly hear the comma in the way he's speaking, meaning he thought at the time that Yellowfinger was the first NPC invasion of the game.
Technically, if you kill dancer first, and manage to beat oceiros, you can be invaded by Daughter of Crystal Kriemheld. If I spelled that correctly. In the untended graves. Point is you can get that NPC invasion first if you’re absolutely insane.
The giant GIVES you a unique white branch that says "good friend, no hit" in its description, and keeping it in your inventory will make sure he doesn't fire at you.

@@Scorpio_03_09 Go see your god then and leave us the fuck alone.
im playing so many years, never new it until now =/
When you talk to the caged NPC, it makes the brute carrying the cage passive. So you may enter the covenant area without sneaking up on him
This is insane, I'm playing DS3 for the first time. Literally killed him while watching the video. Glad I didn't ruin the game or something.
Mine killed himself
I'm pretty sure the carrier is always passive
Not true. Accidentally killed that caged npc first playthrough and big guy with cage was still passive. Ran circles around him and he did nothing. Maybe if you already killed the great wood then it may work like that
i haven’t killed either the npc or the greatwood. the cage back still wants to kill me
The friendly undead cage thing tells you how to get the mound makers. "So enter the cage and become Nana's shade." is a hint.
"Nana" disappearing could refer to the death of Loretta, or the old hollow hag possibly leaving and going to firelink shrine, driving Hodrick mad and founding the mound-makers.
7:04 he's telling you to get into the cage if you want to join the covanent
2018, about to be 2019, and can still tree jump
That's the type of glitch that involves S K I L L though
It was probably intended in the first place.
Yeah I think so too as well as a lot of other ”glitches” that are just way too perfect to be accidental
I did it 12/6 2018. I kept failing but as soon as I took my armor off I did it the very next try.
Tree was definitely there for a reason. Myazaki is love
That's definitely what the NPC is doing, giving you a hint to find the Mound-Makers covenant
It is
I thought it had a short quest line, never checked though.
If you don't kill yellowfinger in crucifixion woods, there's a nonhostile slug in Rosaria's chamber that drops the same items
That's supposed to be yellowfinger herself if you kill her in all the areas she spawns. My guess is that she rebirthed herself too much after getting defeated over and over again she turned into a slug. Hence the description of rebirthing is "Persisting after 5 rebirths will turn you into a slug."
Jose Gonzalez wait a sec... The yellow finger is female?._.
@@epjosh8192 Yes, all evidence points to her being female.
yellowfinger attacked me twice
I got that slug after finishing the Leonhardt questline, didn't have to fight yellowfinger once
To be clear about the giant, I used to think you had to pick up a white branch and bring it to him, because the dialogue box used to say "offer token of friendship" in a previous patch. I vividly remember him attacking me when I didn't have a branch in my inventory.
Now the dialogue box says "make peace". I think they changed it. Hence why I got a fact wrong and had to reupload.
The NPC in the undead settlement is referring to Sirris. When doing her quest you have to help her defeat the NPC that lets you join the Mound covenant, he is Sirris grandfather and the jailer is his grandson. So basically the jailer has been sending people down the hole and he finishes them off. So both are evil and Sirris wants to stop them.
Is in the strategy guide as well.
+squalltheonly damn, best theory so far. Nice
+VaatiVidya the list say that if you drop lightning Urns you will get the Helm for Solaire but i did that but the crows just say no mind helping a fellow soul member? This is one of my few last gear
+VaatiVidya I gave you a clue about that!
+VaatiVidya After you kill Hodrick, she refers to him as grandfather in 2 occasions. She also refers to the invader at the bridge as an "offspring", I don't know if she is implying that he is related to Hodrick.
There's some deep family issues going on, pretty nice and never before seen in a souls game.
god damnit why would you kill Siegward you monster
I once abandoned him while he was fighting the fire demon. Felt really bad
Shame on you
Poor Onion knight ;(
my mate made me kill Anri and Horace in my ng+ run, it was a week ago and i still feel bad.

Playing this as my first Soulsborne game in 2021. It's an absolutely brilliant masterpiece. For some reason, I just can't stop playing it.
I played bloodborne and elden ring, I came to this after, and it's awesome.
Hello there my older version, Im doing this in 2024. It's still a masterpiece, maybe one day i earn enough money to play elden ring. But for until, play ds3 and maybe ds2. Have Great day, and hit like this comment if u read :D
@@Kvothe1942 I played the expansion later on and it was still brilliant. Have fun man and hope you can enjoy Elden Ring one day, it's a masterpiece.
I discovered yesterday that if you cheese the dragon in the High Wall with arrows, eventually he'll get pissed and fly off, leaving behind a Large Titanite Shard. So combined with the one that you get by trading a firebomb with Pickle Pee and a bit of grinding, it's possible to get a +4 weapon pretty early.
An Autistic Penguin Who Is Also Depressed True, but I don't like fighting the Dancer at low levels, and by fighting I mean getting dragged along the walls until they turn red.
Unless you use the spirit on the Dancer instead of Vordt through that glitch, if you know what I mean.
@Jack Buchanan lol I'm late but you go inside the building/castle and you hit the leg of the dragon on the right side and then you also go into the left building climb onto it and from there you can jump or throw firebombs on it's tail or leg. Both dragons are "infected" with that black thingy which is "alergic" to fire. Ez

"Another nana disappeared. So the grandson carries a cage, he ever has his cage. And nana's never coming back, so come into the cage and become nana's shade.."
He's talking about the Mound Maker's Covenant.
Look at the clothes for the Jail Breakers and then look at the one for the Shrine Maiden at Firelink Shrine. I just assume the shrine maiden relates to it because "Nana" also means grandmother in some cultures.
Also, if you look at the description text to the Budding Green Blossom, it'll read: "The brief attached messages suggests that it was a gift: 'Good-bye, dear Grandmother. I will visit Grandfather, in the Pit of Hollows'"
Well anyways, that's all I've got for that 🤗
I thought “nana” was Sirris at first
nice
I had a Nana ....snif.....
Sirris = grandad?
And if you don't talk to that NPC or you kill him, the guy with the cage is hostile

@@Godskin_Trio SAY LESS
This may be far too late but:
'Another nana disappeared' - A strange way of pronouncing 'Nanna' as in Grandmother? And the shrine handmaiden is Sirris' Grandmother.
'The grandson carries a cage' - Referring to the cage carrying, non-hostile saw guy, who takes you to see Hodrick, who is Sirris' grandfather. So possibly can we infer that the cage carrying hollow is Sirris' brother? And they are both the grandchildren of the Shrine Handmaiden and Hodrick?
Also, the use of 'another' in 'Another nana disappeared' would seem to connect to the old hags in DS2, and the fact that they were all precisely the same old woman. Maybe they all left over time? And maybe at some point they worked at the undead settlement, preparing hollows? (That last bits a bit more 'Wild Conjecture-y')
I don't think it's the Shrine Handmaiden. I think he's referring to one of the Evangelists.
Few reasons for that:
The Evangelists are highly maternal towards the members of the community, likely as a form of love-bombing (the practice of making people feel extremely welcome when they're doing what you want them to, then depriving them of all that love immediately when they do something wrong, until they return to the fold; it's an _extremely_ effective manipulation technique).
The Evangelists are almost certainly responsible for most of the horrible shit we see in the Undead Settlement. Beyond the fact that they're in a position of clear authority, there, the mistreatment of Undead seems to have a religious bend to it, and numerous item descriptions claim that they're involved in the preparation or application of items. They come from the Cathedral of the Deep, too, and the Cathedral of the Deep is the only place I've found enemies who use Allfather Lloyd's Undead Hunter talismans.
The Evangelists are servants of the Gods, who the Mound-Makers are at least passively opposed to; the item you sacrifice to the altar is a Vertebra Shackle, which serves as proof that the gods control everyone.
The Grandson's Nana's disappearance causes him to become non-hostile to the player-character. No other giant hollow is non-hostile to the PC. Whether he is responsible for his Nana's disappearance, or the disappearance of his Nana allowed him to regain some measure of sanity, or, conversely, caused him to become even more insane, or whether whoever disappeared his Nana bound him into service, somehow, his current position is a direct result of the disappearance of his Nana. And when the Curse-Rotted Greatwood is destroyed (or, possibly more importantly, when Hodrick is killed and the Cavern is exposed), he becomes hostile. Grandson may still carry his cage, but it's no longer possible to climb into it and become Nana's shade--at least, for people who haven't already done so. I wonder if there's any way to stop one of the Undead from coming back? Something, perhaps, related to the growth of a Mound-Maker's mound?
+Snowskeeper Ferenczy Yes, you might be on to something there. The evangelists have a certain grandmotherly air, albeit a twisted one!
Perhaps I'm grasping at straws here, but I wonder if the "nana" might be Loretta? Just a random possibility I thought I'd throw out there.
I hear bleeding them out helps. Certain methods I know of none. Although it would be a rather huge deal, I assume. A defiance against the curse, eh? Probably just a horrible method of burial which offers no way for you to claw yourself out. God, that picture of yours makes me peckish.
Jack Gill so that sounds convincing but has holes because, the "old hags" in DS2 were fire keepers that were basically retired which is why they were in that limbo area (Things Betwixt- *messed up spelling cuz too lazy*). Although I think I do remember hearing something about the "old hags" being the same person, the fact that they are retired fire keepers brings up a STRONG argument that they would not simply leave the limbo area because after all they are retired. Besides if you remember in DS2 the ladies laughed at us hollows for being stupid for going out on our quest, which you could say implies that they retired because they lost all hope. Btw that last point is very strongly backed by the DS community and DS2 basically says that throughout the game to you. Now, please don't think I'm bashing you that your wrong, because if you have been subbed to this channel for a long time or recently you would know that people like me in this community are not trying to prove each other wrong but instead we are trying to come to a conclusion. In the end, I could be wrong, you could be wrong, everyone could be wrong, but this is what makes the DS community so different and so amazing, because two complete strangers can start having a debate about the game and possibly make something out of it. The DS community represents teamwork that personally I have never seen in any other game. So never stop trying to solve the mysteries of souls games, because as a community we will never really know the true meaning, because I don't know if I can trust Miyazaki(hope I spelled that right) after that damn pendant joke back in DS1.
Damn, didn't know half of these things, thanks!

Rare comment, so little likes
I know it's been 4 years, but this comment is like the Dark Souls of not knowing things I am sorry.
this is the bloodborne of underappreciated comments.
So the npc at the end, if your logic is right that he's giving you a hint about the cage, the implies that "grandson" carrying the cage is the shrine maidens grandson.
wait, would that make him sirris brother?
May 2019, tree glitch jump not patched yet

The last part where the thing talks about nana, it's talking about getting into the cage to join the mound covenant.
Last night I killed the tree before I new about the cage. Do you guys know how to still join the mound makers covenant?
+mackstertube follow Sirris questline
+mackstertube Now that you've killed the tree go back to where the boss fight was.. right outside you'll see a summon sign for Sirris of the Sunless Realm. You actually touch her sign and help her fight a relatively strong NPC and she will give you the mound makers covenant and the Darkmoon Loyalty gesture
Ok thank you very much as today I have totally cleared that area and have started the Road of Sacrifices. Got the sweet sunlight armour and am on my way to do the best ending in the game. I did fight that purple NPC guy but can't remember his name just before the cemetary, he is different, right?
+FireBanditZO I went back today and was in ember form and could not find this sign you speak of. I looked at entrance to graveyard and where the witch patrols on giants side.
Fun fact: I tried being genuinely nice to someone as a Mound Maker, and he sent his phantom home for being the hostile one rather than me... seems people really are learning who is genuinely nice, and who's given in to their bloodlust rage.
That's awesome ! I'm hesitant to buy PS+ for a month just to experience a bit of Dark Souls jolly cooperation.
That kind of stuff might make me hurry up to not miss those opportunities.
It is now 2021. The tree jump is still in the game. Thank you, Miyazaki, for staying true to your design principles and not patching out helpful little exploits like this.

It's basically suicide to do this fight early unless you know what your doing, but it's a great secret for minmaxing builds or challenge runs

Interesting that the conglomerate speaks about a nana, the npc that first allows access to the covenant is a grandfather, and his granddaughter also allows you access to his covenant at the end of her quest line, and her “nana” is at fire link, and never leaves it, thus never coming back to her husband, who’s gone mad, which could also be seen as “never coming back.”

Every true fan suffers from this
7:25 Its actually a reference to being able to climb into the cage. I think he means the big guy with the cage on his back
+SnowCrash yep, and it is obviously.
The conglomerate riddle is talking about the mound maker covenant. The cage refers to the cage holder that brings you there
+Aaron Davis And "nana" must be someone who got in the cage and joined the covenant. Or maybe it's the guy you see down in that pit, since he's kind of the leader of them. "Become nana's shade" would make more sense because you work for him and you do your acts of madness as a shade or phantom.
I'm thinking it has more significance. Nana is one way to pronounce 7 which in Japanese is a number closely related to death due to its other pronunciation shichi, which contains shi meaning death. The moundmakers taken the vertebrae of the dead, so maybe this is a relation?
It's 8 years now and you still can perform the early tree jump 😊

Minor spoilers for an npc quest:
In my opinion the "undead congolomerate" at 7:15 is not only givin you a hint about the cage which can transport..
let's all remember that Sirris is lookin for her Grandfather, which is the mad Hordrick, which resides underneath the rotted greatwood
I think that might be what the undead is refering with "nana's never comin back" (i'm not american/english, i don't know if "nana" can be also used for males) but i don't know since, therefore, it would mean that the big guy with the cage is somethin like Sirris' brother or something like that (since the rest of the poem is like "the grandson carries a cage"
i don't know...probably doesn't make that much sense : \
i agree, it seems like when you a boss (cant remember which) you get a special green blossom item, and on that item it says that irris is going to kill her grandfather hodric, which is the person you meet after you jump in the cage. so it seems like the one who carries the cage are hodric's grandson aka irris brother
+Diskhate nana is only for female relatives. speaking as an american.
+Diskhate nana is only for a grandmother, here in the UK. And it's 80% nearly a complete English thing. Doubt you'd hear it anywhere else much in the isles.
I found, maybe, an hint:
apparently, the "nana" that conglomerate is refering, COULD be the shrine maiden (the one who sells you stuff in change of ashes) because, apparently, she is Sirris' grandmother, which would make her Hordrick's wife (Hordrick is the one you find in the pit the conglomerate is hinting you on how to reach)
The caged undead say "ANOTHER nana disappeared," and the nana who disappeared is clearly dead, because you're asked to become her shade. So I find it very hard to believe that they're referring specifically to the Shrine Maiden.
I went into depth about this in another comment section, but I'm convinced it's one of the Evangelists the caged undead are referring to. I can copy-paste that, if you like.
If you kill the cage guy who says Nana you can't get into the cage holding monster because he aggros you.
+ddszg dxzxvds :o interesting
I actually did kill the Nana guy and still got in the cage. don't know if it was a glitch or not lol
+Mick Lane That's interesting. Did you speak to him before you killed him? I've experimented with him and everytime I've killed him I couldn't get into that cage because I would instantly get agro'd. The times I was allowed into the cage were only when I kept that Nana creature alive.
+ddszg dxzxvds Fuck, do you know if it's possible to still get in that cage?
+francompalmieri Nope its no longer possible to get in the cage after you kill him. He'll always aggro you. I found that out on my first playthrough, couldn't join the covenant lol.
"It's going to be patched soon... so I'll wait a few days before telling you about it."
Booooo!
npc glitch
It's not patched yet! Get your ass up there!
+Jumbo-J1 you need to enter the world of pain... there is no easy way for us....sorry bro ;)
+Jumbo-J1 npc glitch
+Super Teemo for anyone here wondering, summon an NPC, have them die, save quit the game, respawn, and their summon sign will reappear without having to rest at a bonfire, the game counts them as "Dead" so they have no hitbox, but can aggro/damage mobs.
I always wear lucatiels mask in tribute to the one character that shows fear of losing herself. She asked me to remember her, and I always will
Playing through ds3 for the first time in a long time, these videos are always comforting to me.
After all my countless playthroughs of DS3 I have to say these videos are still fun to watch.
yellow finger haysel isn't the first NPC invasion, the guy from the mound makers is (can't remember his name) he invades right before the dilapidated bridge bonfire in the undead settlement. ;-)
Slayer Runefrost the funny thing about Hodrick is that he's not a true invader, he can be despawned at a bonfire, heysel cant
God I love that the tree skip is still here
Regarding the covenant in the undead settlement, this is not available after you reach phase 2 of the Curse Greatwood boss fight and the ground breaks. After the ground has broken, even if you didn’t defeat the boss, the npc cage dude is hostile and you can’t join this covenant.
Tree jump in firelink is still good as of a couple weeks ago
Nana is referring to the shrine handmaiden, grandson being the guy carrying the cage, npc who drops tailsman being granddaughter, and finally Hodrick being the grandfather of the two and husband of the handmaden
So yellow finger appears late game as a slug monster in Rosaria's chamber if you didn't kill him when he invaded. Just got the pick and crown from it.
+Amethyst Spark Oh, cool.
+Amethyst Spark oh so you can't invade him for that to happen? Was wondering what the trigger was. I guess that makes sense since he drops his gear. So they turn into slugs if they don't invade maybe ? D:
+VaatiVidya Hey vaati, I tried doing the Legion Etiquette gesture to the level up maiden and all gestures i did to her this makes her look away from you for some reason, looking down to be exactly, Idk it got me curious, maybe shes scared or dosent like the Legion.
I'm not sure what the requirements are but if u summon heysel in farron swamp just before the door locked by the torches u get a respectful bow gesture.
VaatiVidya I got invaded but the giant crabs killed me before I could get the kill. Then I just went on with the level.
"The grandson carries the cage" he's talking about the mound makers teleport.
Lol, that “Overpowered Early” vid never came and we never got the Dancer secret
I was literally just looking for that vid. 😂
oh i know what it is, in the past you could call a npc phantom (that sword master), and do a bug that make the npc invincible. then he kill the dancer, but this has been fixed a long time ago.
(sorry for my english mistakes, im not british or from USA)
@@markspectre24 lmao
This guy is lazy lots of UA-camrs are like him
For some reason they think sitting behind a freaking desk and talking into a mic is a hard job and they are all either mentally sick or physically and need a break (jacksepticeye)
@@amirhb7531 .....What? Lol, who hurt you?
While I think it's a bad practice to advertise content that you don't end up producing, I think jumping to "mentally/physically sick" is QUITE the leap there, bud. I'm a professional video editor, and these things take significant time to put together with any quality. If there wasn't a great response to this kind of content, it makes sense that he would use his time/energy wisely and do other things, especially as a solo operation.
All the glitches still work for anyone wondering
The spanish subtitles are great!
+Edu ochomil Fantastic I'm so happy! I wish I knew who was doing them, i'd give them kudos..
+VaatiVidya The dutch ones are great too
+VaatiVidya Same for french, immaculate.
+VaatiVidya so is Swedish.
+VaatiVidya English could be better
Hust the emotes and the torch part made this video UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING alone. Thanks..
I love this game. You can invade as a Sunbro and engage in some Jolly Decapitation.
+Zach Merson And gain SUNLIGHT MEDALS for it!
holy fuck, I literally chuckled loudly on that one...
As of November 26,2016 the tree jump has NOT been patched
Andres Rivera Hahah thank you. only reason I'm looking through the comments.
really? i try this a couple of times and i can't do the jump...
thanks for tip , i will try this agan
FromSoftware have confirmed that they know about it and are not going to patch it since it is an intentional early skip for experienced players.
Also seems easier to make the jump with lower equip load. failed numerous times with 56%, stripped to 0% and got it first try
Andres Rivera My guess is it won't be patched. I think it's a reward of sorts from developers to players who could figure it out.
This was the very first video of yours I ever watched 🙂 Just started a new play through as way to prepare for Elden Ring. Thanks for all the years of great content ever since!
October 2019, tree is still jumpable 🙏
Yeah it always will be
Wait really. Yess
Thx for PT-BR subtitles
Oh man Vaati.... You are the "go to" guy when it comes to FROM SOFTWARE games. From Demon Souls to Bloodborne and now here. As always, thank you.
+Harry Gallardo He shouldn't be your go-to guy since he plagiarizes all of his information from GameFAQs forums
+Jerky Bogis lol hater alert.
Anyways, thanks Vaati your videos are great and informative as always.
Mr. Jerky.... Do you sir have CONCRETE evidence and PROOF that Mr. Vaati is in fact plagiarizing from another source?? If so, please kindly take the time to create a video and upload stating your accusations. If not.... SHUT THE FUCK-UP... Thank you.
Harry Gallardo Look it up on youtube. Multiple videos have been done showing better proof than I could ever show you that he steals all his content from other youtubers and just "compiles" it, if that.
Sometimes his plagiarism is VERBATIM theft, he doesn't even try to hide it.
The tree jump still works as of October 2019 . Remove ALL your armor to make the jump 200% easier
The undead cage dudes are probably referring to Greirat and Loretta. Greirat probably stole the ring from his nana, got captured, felt guilty, and desired to give it back. The hat Greirat wears refers to shaming criminals/slaves and may be the cage referred to in the song.
How many hours a day must vaati play this to have already finished it more than once?
+TheSnoozeFox 24
He, among many others, got the game early as he said in the video with the Japanese version.
+TheSnoozeFox He had the Japanese version, when he got the English version it was probably much easier for him.
+TheSnoozeFox He played the japanese version and had an early copy so he had a headstart. Given the fact that souls content is what his channel is all about it's not surprising that he's played a lot to get as much content together as he can.
+Geoffrey Mullen also if you are really good at the game (and he is), DS3 isn't very long. You can probably finish it 1-3 times in one week if you know what you are doing.
talks about captions but dont enable them, good job vaati :)
Mhm titanite chunks, my favourite strength/faith weapon
Where's the Dark Souls 3 overpowered early video???
exactly what I was looking for!~
+duckradar01 git gud with your memes
***** If you can't last on the field you better, git gud :3
+duckradar01 honestly i am really sorry to do this, but if i don't, i'll not gonna sleep this night.. so here it comes.. you're*
i mean just get a straightsword and youre overpowerd for all of the first playthrought. didnt take me long to figure that out
September almost October 2019 tree jump has not been patched
There is no more patches for this game anymore.
@@ripples1072 I haven't downloaded any patches since I bought the game, I have kept my ps4 not connected to the internet
@@rot2896 so you played dark souls 3 i do not want to be invaded mode.
@@jonathangonzalez9673 I wouldnt care if I got invaded but yeah I bought the complete edition with all the dlc and have never had it connected to the internet. I've played all the others online and also bloodborne online dozens of playthroughs but just not ds3 for some reason lol
No shit how else do you get to serpent ring? It's a feature not a glitch
Tree will never be patched since it hasn't by now. It may not have intended to be a feature but it is now
The tree jump is still not patched even now in 2024 if anyones wondering, it’s easier if you take off your gear when ya do the jump
??? I was invaded by a purple phantom in the Undead Settlement and I could have sworn he was an NPC. Did anyone else get invaded?
+Nero Nyte Yeah, that was an NPC invasion.
But Vaati said the first NPC invasion is in a later area? Is he just mistaken or does he mean something else?
+Nero Nyte If you get invaded by him it means you're on the path to screwing up the covenant
I had the Way of Blue covenant on and was just playing normally. First playthrough
Same.
"her grandson carries her cage" we are talking about the secret covenant cagebearer right? thats what i think.
+FacelessEnemy "So the grandson carries a cage"*
Its 2022 and the tree jump still works lmao
It’s so funny I watched all your elden ring stuff when play and now I’m onto ds3 and just realized you’ve been doing this for awhile
Hey pal, made sure you have some proper Dutch subtitles on this helpful video. As long as you keep that option on, I'll happily help you.
+Joey Deguelle Thanks so much, you guys are so awesome. I'm looking through them all now in awe.
VaatiVidya You're most welcome! I can't take all the credit though, someone did alot of the subtitles before I finished them.
+VaatiVidya you asked a question about the caged guy giving a hint. if you talk to him BEFORE you climb into the cage on the guys back it will cause him to be unhostile. essentially allowing you to walk past him, grab the loot, then go back and climb in no problem. if you don't talk to him you have to wait until his back is turned.
Im from the year 6969 and the tree jump still works
Long live the tree
Ps i have mastared the jump and can do it first try every time now
December 2049 tree jump still works... my favorite feature in the game
Man! That last secret... I played the game many times and never noticed that. I did notice that cage enemy had more HP than usual. It's so bizarre, yet so cool! Thank you for sharing this with us!
Just to be clear, the giant gives you a branch. You can just make peace with him.
If you have problems with the tree jump try it without armor then it is a bit easier and the it is still working im 2018
The riddle has been explained by now. But for those who missed it, it has to do with the shrine handmaiden and the mound maker's covenant. The maiden is Sirris's grandmother, and Hodrick is her grandfather. The grandson is the cage monster that takes you there.
"Become Nana's shade" has to do with the bloodshade covenant (which I know nothing about having never played the previous games) But since you recieve BloodLust from them and the covenant has to do with blood, it makes sense that you'd be a Blood Shade.
....you become a Mound Maker tho....
And get vertebra shackles, not bloodlust
That tree jump is not patched as of 10/1/24. I just did it on my new playthrough lmao
I've been trying soo hard but I keep failing
2019 and tree jump is still good
You can also get the moundmakers covenant by following Sirris’ quest line and helping her kill Hodrick
"gad damn, that's from softwares idea of a hint apparently" xD
If you kill the caged NPC you won't be able to enter the cage as the cage carrier enemy will become hostile. Presumably that locks you out of mound makers? I think that's why he was put there, to mess with people and give a hint like you said.
Correction ;3 Pickle-Pee Pump-a-Rum is ONE single Crow, there's no difference in Voice as with Tyna and Dilo in DkS2
+Tykiari Kasane Also L3 or whatever button your Jump is on (it's Circle button for me, i can't jump with L3 anymore, i started with it but now i am happy to be able to change it Xx)
